    With Correa and Lewis, Lee looks more like a long-term 2B with an ability to play short or third if needed. Julien should start getting reps at 1B and being an option at both positions on the right side. Miranda is an option at both first and third, Kirilloff has become too injury-riddled and will likely be traded.
    The Twins should look into getting a serious power 1B with long-term control, a big 1B/DH would complete the infield. Maybe Larnach can be transitioned, bc he’s been looking excellent as of late.

    Our playoff roster should be. Lewis 3B, Carlos SS, Julian 2B, Lee 1B, Jefferson C, Miranda DH, Martin LF, Buxton C, Max RF. With Santana, Castro, and any left hand OF of your choose. That lineup will rake.

    Martin should play anywhere but SS yet Twins determine to play him at SS, Julien position is 1B but the Twins were determined to stretch him at 2B throughout his career. Martin to second, Lee to first base and with Rodriguez coming next year the only position that needs to be filled in free agency is LF next year, then the Twins can use Kilrilloff and Julian as trade bait for pitching and prospects.

    Random vent here - I hate that we pulled Joe Ryan after 6 innings last night when he was straight dealing! We are too dogmatic to our process. 94 pitches thru 6 innings - let him at least start the 7th on a short leash w/ somebody warmed up in the pen just in case. Enough with this "Oh no, better not let him throw over 100 pitches or his arm will fall off!". Firmly believe that cost us the game last night.

Whats it gonna hurt?! This is a young mans game look at guys like Royce Lewis & Austin Martin they're electric players and they also light a fire in these vets asses. How's that Pablo thing working out in MN. Any chance Kim Ng might be just a bit smarter than Falvey or Skor North? Pablo has faced 3 teams 10 or more times in his MLB career. Not surprisingly, they're all NL East teams, the Braves, Mets, and Nats. All 3 of those teams have hammered Pablo with his career ERA against each around 5.50. Like Julien, everybody has now seen Pablo and his stuff in the AL. Julien is showing no signs of figuring it out. Pablo needs to adjust to the adjustments teams are making on him. He belongs in St. Paul. But how do you do that with a guy you paid $73.5 million to after about 3 starts. Everybody has good stuff at the MLB level. It takes more than just good stuff to be an ace. That's never been Pablo. Maybe if he had a month with Greg Maddux?

    • @benjames4502
      @benjames4502 3 месяца назад

      The issue is the management only using analytics and not including personality typing. Pablo is good number two, you saw that with gray as he wants the ball in big games. The same may be said about Julien, he has the tools but lacks the fire. It's why when you see Lewis and Martin on the field at the same time it's almost a different team. So the lesson is analytics alone can't win you games, only let's a team draft better players.

    I love this Twins show and watch it literally every day.. but man, what did Jose Miranda do to you guys that ticked ya'll off so much? He's been one of their best hitters this year and the first time in forever that his name was uttered on this show, it was directly preceded by the word "trade". Was he rude to you guys at some point or something? I'm genuinely curious.
    I think moving Brooks Lee to 2B is obvious. So I'm guessing you're moving Julien to 1B(with an occasional 2B start when Lee rests perhaps) and platooning Julien with Miranda at 1B, and Kirilloff plays LF? I don't love the idea of a 1B platoon since your 1B is supposed to be one of your best everyday hitters, but I guess it can work, especially if you're playing the other at DH all the time. It does make sense to leverage one of these guys to get a high end starter before the trade deadline passes though, that makes a lot of sense.
