  • Are you a food lover? I am sure I am one. Yet sometimes when you are travelling to new places, what you try and know is limited unless you have a guide, or you can do a lot of homework, research some vlogs and RUclips, yet still the choices of food are within our comfort zone. We will choose what we knew how it would taste like, and what we might love to try.
However, when you get a tour guide, you are up for an adventure. Though you may discuss and express your choices, I encourage you to take a step of faith and trust your guide.
This is the contact of my food tour company and you may reach them through this email address:
    hanoistreetfoodtours@gmail.com
and the tour guide's name is Ms Sam.
Meanwhile, the following is the name list of food in my food tour. My tour is more an elaborate one, and I paid more for it. In normal terms, the minimum pax is 2 people per tour and it is 25 USD/pax.
1: Bún cha ta- noodle soups
2: Cafe trứng - egg coffee
    3: Bánh lọc,bánh nậm

I tried the egg coffee before in Pg cafe, it's unique... the one in this video looks good and with rice wine whisky, wow... the prawn dumpling looks amazing, and the steamed rice cake is special... recently I discovered and love Pg's kiam kopi; does the salted coffee in Hoi An taste similar to kiam kopi? Such tasty foods... but I still can't accept blood of any kind lol... didn't know they have food tour guides :) I'll be sure to contact her if I'm there

Oh didn't know Penang egg coffee? May I know where is it? The usual egg coffee uses susu pekat, but here they didn't. So the taste is not crazily sweet. Very pleasant, and creamy...with the rice wine whisky...it tastes very light, and the creaminess is also not too strong.

The steamed rice cake is not like Malaysia Jiu Kuih...with the shrimp sauce, it tastes awesome. Sincerely awesome. Meanwhile the salted coffee in Penang, may I know again where to get it? This one is quite good...I need to try try and compare to penang one.

If you ever go to Hoi An, do get this guide. Frankly, eating in old-town's restaurants is expensive and not so authentic. The places I visited is few steps extra outside Hoi An old town...Worth going
