- Louise was a popular actress from 1927-1960. This is just an overall account of her life but she accomplished so much more. Sadly she was typecast a lot and didn’t reach her full potential.

She was a BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. She exudes L❤VE and warmth. She was a fine actress.
She was very pretty. No one should judge her because of the roles she accepted. She was a working actress who became famous in a time that it was very difficult for black people to do so. 🌹
I really enjoyed this. The past is so important. Louise, Freddie and countless others are the shoulders the actors of today stand on. And baby, we may never heard of a Cicely Tyson, Morgan Freeman or so many others if it weren’t for the actors you are giving us♥️♥️♥️
So true!
🗣️ Facts!
Hollywood should be ashamed of how they destroyed this fine actress, having her to overeat just for her to keep up with her roles, it really makes me very angry, nobody did this to Marilyn Monroe or any of these other so-called perfect actresses, racism ran rampant in those days so I can't get too upset, but realizing what went on whether public or private is still disturbing!
I feel the same way. Marilyn Monroe was used and abused. Never taken seriously at all. And now with the "Me, too" movement not progressing, things are standing still so how are all of us going to demand respect? And just why are some of our actors of color fighting each other and filming the same stories over and over again plus missing out on filming the truth of people of color and the most excellent stories that took place thousands of years ago? No excuses,
but people do have a right to showcase what they feel is of interest. If you are going to tell the truth about black history at least consult the many professors of color at HBCUs instead of continuing the same old tradition on basing our history on a true story instead of the real truth. Just an opinion.
The entertainment industry years ago exploited all their stars(even Motown) just for profit. Even Judy Garland was doped up for MGM's greed. Thank God today entertainers have savvy agents and managers to prevent this.
I found out about her after her major breaking film, Imitation of Life. Since then, I’ve been fascinated!
Her performance in Imitation of Life was really powerful! You could feel the heartbreak that her character felt because of her daughter's rejection of her race.
You are off to an amazing start!! Keep doing your research and making great content
Thank you!
I agree! And I will be here to learn from you!!!
Thanks ,that was really nice tribute to her life and career, to bad her and Hattie didn't get their roses when alive .
Please keep making this amazing content! This video and your last video were great and incredibly informative :)
I will be posting more content like this. Thank you for watching!!
Totally agree.
I saw the 'imitation of life' the waterworks wouldn't stop in the end. I try to tell young ppl there's so many more trailblazing African-Americans out here... Keep up the great content!!!
Great job, keep them coming!
Thank you!
Yes amen
Thank you so much for your work! I was so busy being ‘ashamed’ when I was younger that I negated the nerve and in my face beauty of these actresses. She is Beautiful and Adorable and She is a testament to perseverance of the spirit in manifesting a life against low level hindrances and for paving the way for others. Bravo Ms. Louise Beavers🌺🔥
I totally agree with Brooke, please keep making videos. Although the research, filming and editing is time consuming, you are so good and the videos so informative and entertaining.
I was not overly familiar with Louise. Thank you.
I love your videos so far! I feel you're going to make it big on this platform!
Thank you!
Hollywood should be called "Hellawood" due to their hellish way of thinking. She was absolute beautiful woman in her own right.
I just subbed ...I love your channel so far...I always find myself standing up for Black actors and actresses of yesterday...of course they would have loved to play other roles but those roles weren't available to them and regardless of what roles they had to play they were talented and paved the way for the actors and actresses of today
I remember seeing some of the movies she's in. She did her thing and I enjoyed watching them.
❤ love your content… keep educating us about our rich history and about those who the media does not speak about even documentaries that are on cable I’ve never heard of these women, so thank you so much for your content and for your research and sharing. God bless you 🙏🏿💜
Thanks for the info, didn't know any of this until now. Appreciate your research, God Bless.
We are so critical, even then... Ms. Beavers paved the way for us aspiring actors...she took the roles given and like Hattie McDaniels brought grace to the roles.
This just popped up on my you tube a couple of days ago. I watched this today and another a day or 2 ago. Very interesting. Good job at showing these famous people and their tribulations thru life. It's sad that she died so young.
Another beautiful and talented Lady. You would think the critics would know better. At the time In Hollywood what did they expect. No one wanted to see the greatness of Black People. As you say Louise Beavers did the best with what she had - showing her talent.🌺
Thank you for sharing the story of another queen who paved the way. I find it utterly ridiculous the criticism these wonderful actors and actresses were subjected to by the community. It isn’t like there was a lot of choices. They took these opportunities and made the best of them.
I remember watching her on the old "Buelha" show when I was a little girl! She seemed perfect for the part because she to have had a sweet and humble personality. I really liked watching her work over the many years she was active, and may she rest in peace.
Thank you so much for sharing our heritage, really learning a lot and loving it, please keep them coming. God Bless.
THANK YOU. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE REMEMBERED AND NOT FORGOTTEN.
Thank you!!!
I'm so happy I found your channel, and even more appreciative that you made this channel dedicated to these beautiful ⭐'S. GREAT EDUCATIONAL, AND WELL MADE
I'm a new sub thank you for telling her story ! She looks beautiful
This was so good! Please keep making these videos 💜
Thank you so much for the information about this wonderful woman!
Beautiful
Thank you . New Subbie🤗
Her critics don't realize how tough it was at that time to get a good role. I applaud Loiuse for taking on the roles available at that time. Today women like Viola Davis and Halle Berry are standing on her shoulders.
Keep these videos coming!
Thank you again for the
Knowledge that you give us about the roles of these beautiful women I was wondering if she ever received an Oscar or was her name ever on the Hollywood walk of fame was she ever given a star for a rose to fame
its a shame they never had children it seems the pattern in Hollywood that some of them died childless thanks for sharing this
New to your channel. Please keep producing these fantastic videos. Thank you.
She was lovely and also Great in I'm No Angel with Mae West
What a wonderful and aptly named channel you have here. New subscriber here.

Thank you 🎬 for sharing. I learned alot.
This is a great channel
Loved this video !!!
Please do a video on Mable King & Esther Rolle
Yes, they were gracious and nice ladies.
Imitation Of Life.. Classic..
Her birthday, namely her birth year is wrong at the end of the video. It says 1920 but she was born in 1902. Love the video btw ❤️
Great Video
She's never been talked about in school and under rated has a black that was an actress. It was a lot of racism back then, but, she is good at acting and this was right around the time when my grandmother was young.
God bless her. RIP. So sad how people of color has been rejected and not able to show their talent in larger venues. However, God is true to his word. "The first will be last and the last will be first". Keep rising people of color. Please always read, please always read. Always read to your kid's. Knowledge is in the Books. No one , no one , no one can deny or take what's in your head. Always read! Blessings to all people of color and my ancestors who was denied opportunities. 🙏
Good episode

John 8; 44-45
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The my moptop
She was overweight before entering films. You cannot blame her health issues on being in films. And she made much more money than most white Americans at the time. You need to count your blessings.
She had free will.
The type casting is not new look at Jayne Mansfield and Marilyn Monroe just to name a couple. They all had choices
I agree, but being a black woman in those times is different. Opportunities were already limited as is.
Hi you are right it’s not new they were type cast too and it’s a sad situation. It was different for Black actors though. They were type cast because of racism
Monroe and Mansfield however were able to do other types of roles besides the ones that made them famous. That kind of film variety was not an option for black actors like Beavers at that time & she did the best she could with what was made available to her within the old studio system.
