Welcome to the Ghost rabbit hole. Dance Macabre video...Tobias is really Ghost. He has hired tour musicians and hired recording musicians. There is extensive lore with this band. Each album has a different character as a front man but it's all Tobias underneath a full on silicone prosthetic mask he sings through. There's actually a full length feature film coming out this June on the 20th called Rite Here Right Now. Tobias is working on his 6th album so the fandom is anxious to see what happens to Papa IV
The singer (Tobias forge) is the genius behind it all, he does most of the things and the ghouls are hired for live performances. I’ve been a huge ghost fan for about 2 years now and I must say I don’t think they’ve got a single bad song. They’re also a Satanist band for theatrical purposes and have brilliant lore.
I realize that Tobias is Ghost. That said the hired Ghouls are still amazing musicians and I'm sure they spend a lot of time practicing with Tobias. My friend was a hired musician for Marilyn Manson for a while and he enjoyed it he got paid well to practice and play live, but it also allowed him the freedom to do his own thing.
Welcome amongst the Ghouls, Ghoulettes, Seestors and Papas 😌 Mary on a Cross could be a familiar one, because its a fan favorite, and that is the one what blew up on tiktok, I recommend the 2022 Tampa live version but I also recommend the new Absolution which is also a concert recording (its the soundtrack of the movie they made named "Rite here rite now" after lines in Square hammer ) But if you want to hear something softer, I would say "He is" is the one you searching for 😀 Thank you for this reaction 😄
Ghost is easily the most interesting thing going in rock music right now. Not only are all of their songs expertly executed, their live shows are unrivaled as well. Their fictional lore of being a faux Satanic band is endlessly entertaining. Their "master plan" is to convert the world to Satanism by writing catchy rock n roll songs that can be played in the backgrounds of supermarkets & department stores 😁😉 No one has more fun doing their jobs of being a big, bad "scary" heavy metal band that parents should be afraid of their kids becoming fans of than Ghost, that's for certain!

Tobias' voice grows on you. You should listen to the early stuff imo. The first time I heard him I had the same reaction, but after a few listens, I couldn't imagine a better voice for the band. The early stuff makes the contrast especially noticeable.

Good band. Satanic themes to all their songs but done in a “tongue in cheek” way. Not for everyone but tunes are catchy as hell

Cirice is their most iconic song. Try also Call Me Little Sunshine (album version). So many great songs.
I will say it's nice to hear a newer group that can sing and actually plays real instruments.😊

Everyone pretty much gave you the great Ghost songs. Can't go wrong with any song but I recommend Mary on a Cross. Live version
