Minox works everywhere on the scalp, they only say that on the box cuz when they first launched the product in the 80’s/90’s they only did officially study groups focused on the crown areas. And u don’t have to apply it twice, only once, this is a cash grab from the product seller. One application applied to the scalp lives in the scalp between 18-22 hrs so once a day application is fine!

During almost a year I was under Proscar's treatment, my crown became thicker again (not quite much the hairline). When my urologist removed it because it turned out that I didn't have hyperplasia, my crown became thinner again after +4 months. Now I know that is the same compound as Finasteride.

    1) Minoxidil reactivates hair follicles that have miniaturized, and re-grows them back.
    2) Finasteride prevents hair from falling out your scalp. But only use the topical serum and not the tablets. Because the tablets have side effects that affect your sexual health.
    3) derma rolling the scalp 0.55mm once a week
Both of these serums, once a day will do wonders in a shorter amount of time

Me and My Brother's Hair Growth Success journey, we did the following:
    1. Stinging Nettle Tea to detox the liver from hormone residue
    2. Taoist soap on the scalp 2x a day to stop inflammation and restore hair growth
    3. Collagen 2x a day, 2 large tablespoons (bovine collagen, hydrolysed)
    4. Scalp Massage everyday for at least 15 to 20 minutes with finger tips (works better then minoxidil).
It did a similar effect on my brothers hair as yours, and works even better for women as we don't have the hormones issue the way men do for genetic hair loss. Thank you for sharing yours, i guess ours are pretty similar regimens.

@@kirpi1 you have to do multiple things to get real results. In terms of new hair growth. Regular Scalp Massage will maintain and maybe even grow. But that's why I posted the regimen.

On average for worst case. My brother it also took 3 months to see significant enough change. Although first month already saw a difference. But that's the above regimen not just Scalp Massage.

My hair started to regrow. I could not believe it-just from my shampoo, small new baby hairs started to grow. However, I had a lot of stress over a loss last year and a half, which caused DHT and oxidative stress to attack my hair. I created a shampoo with castor oil, vitamin E, black seed oil, and rosemary oil, using a bio shampoo as the base. If possible, I use one with caffeine, but that is not mandatory!
Now I made my own serum, which contains pumpkin seed oil separately (1ml - 1.5ml) and a mix of rosemary oil, vitamin E, black seed oil, and castor oil, plus melatonin and vitamin D3 mixed together. I have been using this for the last 14 days at night.
Additionally, I started using 5% minoxidil. I apply about 1ml or more because I have longer hair, so I use more of it. I apply it before sleep and wait for it to soak into the skin, then I apply my oil serums. Before that, I shower and let the shampoo soak for 5 minutes. I shower twice a day. For the last 3 days, I have started using minoxidil during the day and at night because I am home, so it's not a problem for me, but normally I use it just at night. My hairline has more hair, and in the middle of my crown and the well-known spots of male pattern baldness are fuller-all of this in just 2 months.
In addition, I take 500-600mg of saw palmetto, which I put into capsules myself. I also take collagen at night before going to bed and have started taking 10mg of biotin daily. The last three (saw palmetto, collagen, and biotin) are new, as is the serum with oils and the minoxidil. The baby hairs that grew were just from the shampoo I used for 6 months, unaware of minoxidil, which was a mistake. The results would have been better with all the other products and oils, but it still worked just with showering twice a day!
    Take care, everyone.
My hair serum consists of 30 drops of rosemary oil, 17ml of vitamin E, 20ml of castor oil, and 20ml of black seed oil. I also add 20 drops of melatonin and 3 drops of vitamin D3 (5000 IU). As I mentioned, the pumpkin seed oil is separate, so I have two small bottles with pipettes.

Finasteride is also a powerful product that one can use! It blocks DHT receptors, which are essentially the cause of male pattern baldness. While minoxidil regrows hair, finasteride is helpful as it makes sure your hair doesn't get worse (it also regrows hair for around 2/3 of users)! It does have side effects on a small proportion of users' reproductive health, so that is something important to consider. Finasteride and minoxidil are often considered a power couple to combat hair loss!

Mmm while minoxidil does work the efficacy of minoxidil starts to decline with time as well since it’s a vasodilator and vessels forget how to dilate by themselves to a certain amount of time, no ones gets rid of balding out of nowhere (even with medications) theres a lot of tools you can use to only prevent it from getting worse but it’s a lifetime condition, cleaning your diet, reducing stress overall, good quality sleep, exercise, all this helps in preventing androgenic alopecia or at least mitigate some of it.

  • @tcity6334

You can only postpone balding, hopefully dramatically reduce its rate through meds. You cannot 100% the process, as androgens outside of DHT also affect it, and the meds may lose their efficacy over time. If anyone out there hopes to have some notable long-term success, a DHT blocker is the only way to go.

Even though I did not put any on my face or body except my scalp, I developed a hairy body and even my face, not just a beard, but I mean hairs all the way to my eyes and a unibrow. I deal with it by shaving often but just know it is possible. I don't think a majority of men will face this but I did and so I give a warning. It is possible that you may become a werewolf with minoxidil. So watch for it and stop using it if you begin to notice your body becoming hairy, unless you want to look like a werewolf. Just need to understand the hormonal balances and building blocks of hair.
Hair is a protein structure. So eat more protein based food (red meat, eggs, nuts, Jello, etc). Collagen and Gelatin are protein (amino acid building blocks). You want to avoid things that inhibit protein structures like carbs and sugar and increased level of cortisol (this is stress chemical that creates a by product call DHT from Testosterone - stress management).
Dangers of Finasteride and Monoxidil, they will stop working after a few years of use since as you age, your body will become adapted and shift priorities (ie. Focus on important organs and hormones). But food will always be at the forefront.
I'd focus on using organic oils like rosemary (rather than Monoxidil) and use Castor or Coconut oil as a carrier oil. There is studies comparing the effectiveness of rosemary oil vs. Monoxidil.
Derma stamp to increase blood flow to the head. And avoid sugars and carbs as much as possible.

Nice job but something to consider:
Minoxidil is a hair growth stimulant. Hair loss drugs fall into two classifications: 1) hair loss stimulants and 2) hair loss prevention or anti-DHT drugs.
Minoxidil will give great results for many men, HOWEVER, if the cause of hair loss is not addressed, which is DHT, then eventually and not long after using it, hair growth stimulates like minoxidil will stop working because the rate at which new hairs being attacked by DHT and grow back lessons or diminishes. Think about it like running an IV for a blood transfusion while someone knives that patient in the thigh. Eventually the rate of blood loss will exceed the blood entering the body via the transfusion and they will bleed to death. Not the best analogy but one can get the picture.
Your hair follicles are constantly being replaced and fewer grow back each cycle the longer they’re exposed to DHT. This is why Androgenic alopecia is a progressive disease that actually starts from puberty. But it’s so slow it isn’t noticeable in most men until they lose 40-60% of their hair and that’s usually by late twenties to early thirties for most men, or early twenties for men who have a very aggressive form of the disease and are more genetically sensitive to DHT.
So unless Finasteride is taken, within a year or two or so one will notice hair loss again and the new hairs from minoxidil will begin to fall out as well along with their existing hairs because DHT has never been addressed.
So best way to attack hair loss is with Finasteride and then maybe Minoxidil for most men.
And despite all the fear mongering online, I wouldn’t be worried about side effects. Finasteride is one of the most well studied and popular drugs ever and the side effect profile is in the very low single digits. And contrary to popular online disinformation and belief, Testosterone, not DHT, is the primary sex hormone used in the body. DHT has no real importance after fetal development and maybe even after puberty.

minox is crap, used that and onion oil. I ended up having a hair transplant in the crown and i will tell you right now, im at a stage of a comb over, you can see the bald patch still and it's been almost a year so be aware when going for a transplant. I am guessing the hair growth is very slow and can take more than a year, 18 months top. I look like what I was when i started losing hair and used a comb over as i have thick hair all over and comb it back lol i couldn't do this prior to the hair transplant as I was completly bald in the crown. Oh and im on Finasteride which seems to help not losing any other hair.

Speaking of unsolicited advices, the minoxidil that you are speaking of (which was found to grow hair as a side effect) is oral minoxidil. Minoxidil, when activated in liver is much more potent than the topical version, which is applied locally.
Do not use more than recommended and you will most likely never have these side effects. I have yet to hear of topical minoxidil doing irreparable long term damage. Maybe just skin aging.

Yeah, I was waiting for you to speak on finasteride, but you didn’t. I just want to let you know that minoxidil only regrows the hair that was thinned and the quality went down four but it does not stop the root cause of balding, which is what finasteride is for so I would urge you as soon as possible to hop on finastride, as that is what helps the root cause in the stoppage of balding whereas minoxidil it’s kind of just a cover-up

    • @Pdot608
      @Pdot608 10 месяцев назад

Because yeah, your hair might have gotten better and thicker but unfortunately overall, you will continue to bald and if you don’t catch it soon, it’s gonna be way harder to regrow so you did good using minoxidil, but you need a five alpha reductase inhibitor, which is finastride or the test ride and I probably recommend finastride

It’s hard to say tbh, bc my hair was already shedding before minoxidil. The shedding continued for a lil but still only at the crown, not anywhere else. Then after 2/3 months I saw the new hair growing

i started with finasteride. like OP, i didnt notice the shedding cause it was already shedding. i also didnt notice the growth either until someone point it out, and i checked my crown in the mirror. crown looks full and my hair is long, but i notice that my right side is kinda thinner than the left side. so i started minoxidil 5% specifically on the right side of the crown. minimum shedding and growth started a month or so after. so that's finasteride 1/4 of 5mg and minoxidil 5% once a day. my hair is thick and full now. would like to keep it that way forever. so i stock up.

Mmm maybe after applying it twice a day for the first 3-5 months. Sometimes I just do once a day now that I’m in maintenance mode

Stopped Minodil + finasteride 6 months ago, noticed hair loss on top of my head. Continual use is seemingly required to maintain hair as quitting leads to hair loss. Finasteride may have sexual side effects. Should I consult another doctor if I experience them?

If you have side effects talk to a doctor. You will probably have to decrease your dose. Where did you get a prescription for fanasteride?
