Appreciate the video. I’m getting 119404 code rail pressure sensor, signal: fixed. ISTA+ is telling me to replace it. Just got the part from oreily for $65. Gonna throw it in and hope it clears up the fault. I’ve been getting drivetrain malfunctions when I accelerate hard, but it goes away immediately after - which makes me think it’s an electronic issue and not mechanical. I’ll let you know how it goes. @@EternalZeus still getting the same error. It’s weird, my PSI on the fuel rail is going down into the 80s when I go up a hill or when I accelerate. Then it gets up to 92’ish 1 or 2 seconds later so the drivetrain malfunction comes on then goes away within a second. I’m thinking it’s my injectors at this point. The weird thing is, the more I drive, the less it’s happening. I’m wondering if I should throw another bottle of Techron in the tank and maybe it’ll clean the injectors out completely?
@@MrCoverzero hi, I have the same issue since a month on my 535i 2010 - sometimes it runs on 5cyl after the drivetrain issue failure. Restarting the car resolves the problem. In the beginning the engine just simply stalled randomly and started normally after without issues. Didn’t change my sensor tho because I read it everywhere that it won’t help 🙄 Tell me if you have found the issue. My codes are 112009 and 118401 - sometimes when it runs in 5cyl also 180001 and 110001 No tune, no leaks, 90% of the engine is freshly repaired/changed (turbo, Vanos, timing chain, bearings, oil pump, cooling system also completely new) - only the fuel system remained unchanged 🙄
@@rudolfsoos3956 I’m still having issues over here man. It’s driving me crazy. I’ve changed the high pressure fuel pump and the sensor with no luck. I’m thinking it’s the injectors at this point, at least #2 and #6. I’m thinking they’ve been fouled out with oil back when my valve cover went bad - I’m not sure honestly. I miss having the power I’m used to when driving, now I have to drive like grandpa until I get this fixed. I’ll keep you updated. Wish you luck man.
Hey man, I just got a p0087 as well.. plus multiple misfires p0300. Everything I've read points to the high pressure fuel pump. (plugs we're changed about 2k miles ago.) Just wondering if the fuel rail sensor fixed your issue. Or did you have to replace the hpfp. Also can you describe the issues other than the code the popped up. I assume you had misfires, stumbling and lack of boost.
@@talmadgeperkins3856 my issue ended up being a blown fuel injector. The #6 fuel injector to be exact. I ended up buying a new one from rockauto (best price I could find). Then I coded the DME with the new flow rate via INPA. After that was fixed I had to replace the cat since a massive amount of raw fuel was dumped into it. :-( I did all the work myself, since the dealer wanted $2500 to replace the injectors. To diagnose I looked at the fuel pressure via ODB and noticed the psi was only showing 80-100 vs the 1800+ psi it should have been. Then I pulled all the plugs and ran a compression check. When I was running that I noticed raw fuel spitting out of cyl 6 and I had my root cause.
@@bgj2940 What did you use to check the Fuel Pressure? I have an Android OBD II Bluetooth however the Torque App does not show any readings for fuel rail. I also have the INPA Cable.
@@ShahnewazKhan Torque should have it in there. Go to add display... Select a line graph... And scroll 1/2 way down and you'll see both fuel pressure and rail pressure
He installed the wrong sensor, he needed to replace the Low Pressure Fuel sensor that is connected next to the High Pressure Fuel Pump. That's what i did when i got the P0087 (Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low) and fixed my P0087 code error on my F10 N55 V6 M-Sport Engine.

How do you check fuel rail pressure? Were is the rail valve?
The best way to do this, is through purchasing MHD monitoring, and mapping your logs.
You could get that sensor from a junkyard for 15$ instead of paying 172$ or 100$
Sensor from a junk yard??? So put a used junky sensor in?? Wow, we're trying to fix cars properly, not contaminate them

He doesn't have one my n55 I looked for it and I was just as confused 🤔
What is that part number
V6? Lol
The sensor he replaced is literally at the back of the rail. Either sensor can trigger the fault.
bro said “v6 m sport engine” 💀
hello, can i replace my sensor with different number than original as long as it fits on the rail and socket?
