    Etsy sellers make it sound like you create a design, list it and away you go! I’m finding that it’s very time consuming actually making the design, purchasing a mock up for that product/color and then the listing details. I ordered my first Tshirt sample with my design to see what I’m creating. I may be going slow but I want to offer great products. I work full time so this side hustle gets fit into my available time. I’m enjoying it so far and believe it’s worth the effort. I really appreciate your videos and that you share your knowledge. 😘

    • @TheAnjiMartin

      Yeah, that's not really all there is to it. There is a slight learning curve. Once you get past that it does become very simple and less time-consuming. I can do 10 listings an hour now and there are more AI tools coming out every day to help you do even more than that. Slow is better than nothing at all :) We all have to start somewhere. I'm glad you are enjoying the process. Even when it starts to get boring, just keep going. It will pay off massively in the long run. Thanks for your feedback on my videos. I truly appreciate it ❤

    I think you’re right and there are many factors involved. Products, designs, marketing with seo and ads. I’m with you and have a full silk screen shop with sublimation and dtg equipment and a nice 15 needle embroidery machine I don’t use snd don’t really want to again.
    Hope you are well and feeling better.

    I’m not sure where to ask this, so I’m going to put it here.
    I have a question that I hope it’s ok to ask here. I bought the $97 course and I’m working through it. It talks about t-shirts. However, I am making ornaments and mugs. Can these principles apply to other niches/products or do we need to start with t-shirts? I enjoy creating my ornaments and mugs. T-shirts just don’t do it for me. Thanks so much!

    Hi, now I have a shop on Etsy (2 years) with digital downloads but sales are getting worse and worse and I want to try selling POD and do you recommend opening a new shop on POD or do it on the same shop as digital files. I assume that if I succeeded with POD, I would not sell digital files anymore, I would spend 100% of my time under POD

    Hi Anji, Thank you so much for uploading another video. It does help settle some worries I had.
    I do want your advice on making listings for prints. If I had a design that I could put on 2 different sized prints, is it better to create 2 listings OR create 1 listing with 2 variants.
    I thought it be best to create 2 different listings so I can get more listings available in my store.
    What are your thoughts? Thanks, Anji!

    Hi Anji, thank you so much for an informative video. Sort of off topic but I have a question about custom orders. What do you do if you have a question for the buyer on their custom order and they don't respond? Do you go ahead and make the product as best as you can or do you eventually cancel/refund that order? I only did 3 custom orders and it's probably not something I would like to do in the future because it's not really "passive" and it's hard to chase down the customers when you do have a question. I had an incident with a customer who never responded to my messages (I sent 3!) so I made the product anyway and sent it to production. I never heard from her after she received the product so I'm assuming it's accurate.

    • @TheAnjiMartin
      @TheAnjiMartin  Год назад

      Hi Lizzie, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, I would just message the customer once on Etsy and let them know you need a response within 24 hours. If you don't hear from them it will be sent as is. I wouldn't cancel, you have policies in place and you did your best to reach them. If you didn't hear from them then I wouldn't worry about it. Custom orders are great to get a store going, but I agree long term you are doing pod for the passive income. Once your store is established you can just remove your custom listings.

    Yeah I use sale’s samurai and Printify snd shineon. I won’t use printful, kittl, Erank, red bubble, teepublic because their ethics, morals and values don’t match mine. I’ve been a business owner for decades and ethics and morals matter in business. And not using business to push your views on your customers and the afore mentioned companies do that.

    • @TheAnjiMartin
      @TheAnjiMartin  Год назад +1

      I discontinued talking about one of the companies you mentioned for the same reason. And I don’t use the others so I don’t really know about them. But if I have raised a point with a company several times and it doesn’t get addressed (resolved) then I will seek an alternative. Overall though a lot of people just complain on social media rather than speak with the correct channel to make their voice and opinion worth while.

    • @carlosfaught
      @carlosfaught Год назад

      @@TheAnjiMartin I agree and I spoke to them each but they are all steeped in their own ideologies which they believe are so important they must impose on their customers. I personally don't care what they believe but just don't push it on me or others and I won't push my beliefs on them.
      One of my pet peeves is people that give bad reviews without contacting the management or owners of a business and trying to resolve the issues first. Ever person and business has good and bad days and make mistakes. And like us there are times employees do things the owners are not aware of and the owner won't know unless the customer tells them. But we live in a world of impatient and often short sighted spoiled people.
