    This guide is specifically about chain attacks, anything else related to the combat or blade combos is explained in my previous guide: ruclips.net/video/GX0yNsS_pAc/видео.html

    Man, this game is complicated, I don't know how I did it, but the first time I played it I managed to complete it with almost no understanding of the gameplay, the same with Torna. Years later I returned to the game and finally managed to understand everything, I'm not lying, it's one of the games that has given me more pleasure to play it. Sadly I forgot how to play it, but I still have beautiful memories of it.

      I remember first playing it understanding none of the combat because I mashed the a button as soon as those tutorials came up and I couldn't finish the game. Replayed it a while ago, now paying attention to the tutorials and I can say the gameplay is amazing wished it was clearer tho

      @@RevaliHeeHo yeah, I also bruteforced my way through the majority of the game before learning it, but I loved the combat ever since I understood it.

    I remember using elemental orb ender on Minonth in Torna. What I didn't know us that the Aux core effects also carry over the the Driver, in this case Addam. That was pretty dang fun as I had two orbs that I would break for sure!
    Also with your pretty much set party composition in Torna, chain attacks were so much more fun. I felt like they required even more strategy and planning

    • @MaxMonado
      @MaxMonado  10 дней назад +4

      @klanggemaldemusic8723 I didn't even know it worked like that in Torna but that's great!

    One more tip about Full Burst:
    The amount of orbs needed to break to fill the Full Burst gauge isn't a set number. Basically, the Full Burst gauge needs 6 units to fill it up, with each orb you break counting as 1. However, if you are able to break 2 orbs in one round, that second orb will count as 2 units in the Full Burst Gauge. Even better, if you break 3 orbs in one round, the third orb will count as 3 units.
    This means that while it could take as many as 6 orbs to fill the Full Burst gauge (breaking 1 orb per round for 6 rounds), if you are able to break 3 orbs in a single round of a Chain Attack, you can pull off a Full Burst with just those 3 orbs by themselves (3+2+1=6).
    Happy Chain Attacking!

    Xenoblade 2's chain attacks are so much fun. I love setting up orbs with blade combos, finding routes to set them up and strategically choosing with blade to attack to break and extend combos. I once restarted a couple bosses so I could do better with my chain attacks.

    2 things not covered in the video:
    -Accessories that boost starting damage ratio in CAs are bugged on the highest difficulty. Don't use them in that mode.
    -If you break 2 or more orbs in one round, that's still only 1 extension, they do not stack. This is almost always a loss of damage in practice. This also makes the spoilerblade that has the ability to damage all orbs at once worse for regular chains(However, it can still be helpful in triggering full bursts if one otherwise has no issue producing the orbs, but has issues breaking them somehow).

    Will we ever get a crafting accessories guide for XC3? I get the impression the classes used for debuff got an overall improvement due to a new accessory available that increases the chance of debuffing enemies by 15% (stalker and machine assassin for example)

      In xc3 the combat system on the whole is better, and the chain attack is a fun minigame on its own, but a bit luck dependent.
      If xc2 did let you see which orbs you have on an enemy before chain attacks it wpuld be perfect for its battle system

    I don't know if there are other blades that will do this, but there is a blade called Dahlia who is in ice ball user with a Southern accent. She is a rare blade. She also has an ability that has it where whenever she attacks the blade there is a I think starting 70 chance tod it will also hit whatever orbs are next to it and I'm pretty sure it's for the same amount of damage. So recommendation is to either always have a wind orb active when using her so you can take advantage of that or always have her on orb ender. I also have a more spoilery tip in the comments

    • @gayjebus4079
      @gayjebus4079 10 дней назад

      So this is the spoiler?
      I don't know how RUclips clips these things, so I don't want to make sure that it gets to show more before I say the spoiler
      So for the fusion of pyra and mythra, when you use her in a blade combo she automatically does one damage to all active orbs. She is by far the easiest way to get chain bursts in combination with Dahlia or just in general. She also does a lot of damage

      Yep, I briefly showed her off at 7:14
      Common blades with the 'slamdown' skill can do the exact same as Dahlia. I didn't want to spend too much time of this guide going into niche tips that only a few players can use, so thanks for commenting this!
