After being accused of rape by a fellow Yale student, Saifullah Khan was acquitted of rape charges by a jury in 2018. Now, Khan is suing his accuser, known only as Jane Doe, and Yale over the allegations. NewsNation legal analyst Sara Azari joins “On Balance” host Leland Vittert to discuss the suit.

The accuser lied. She destroyed a person’s life. The court and jury found her guilty. She should be sued and be in jail.
She should also be made to pay the equivalent of alimony to him. That way she's reminded every day what she did. The fact they won't release her name is absolutely disgusting.

False accusations should absolutely land you in jail. Call me cynical but this is no different than during the pandemic when people used reporting hotlines just to get neighbors they did not like in trouble.
Victims can be believed if they take the proper and necessary steps to ensure they have all the evidence they need for the future. As traumatic as it may be to relive those moments the next day or that night, it's even more traumatic when you get a letter in the mail saying "due to insufficient evidence..."
You can only be helped as much as you're willing to help yourself. sometimes obstacles in life become mountains but you have resources to climb those mountains. we have technology to look into your BAC or DNA swab.
If you get angry after a hook up because they had an STD then thats on you. You were careless and have no grounds to accuse anyone of sexual assault and should absolutely be held liable civily and criminally if you make false allegations.
Offer yale a trial held under the same rules that they used against the young man ...... And if not why not .... Tada
