    How much bhp and torque would you expect to gain from the intake and turbo elbow?
    Other than noise does the turbo muffler delete add anything?

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  3 года назад +2

      It's hard to quantify on this specific car without measuring it before and after but we generally see around 5-10hp without software and then if software has been installed then around 10-20hp depending on all the other upgrades too.
      Turubo muffler delete is mainly for acoustics at stock/stage 1/2 power levels

    • @Bond2025
      @Bond2025 3 года назад

      Taking it away from how it was designed, you lose power and torque, but gain noise. It's designed a certain way so everything is finely balanced together. Mess with it and you end up ruining the car. Most mods add nothing apart from noise. If you want a quiet powerful car, remove the fake sound generator (Soundaktor) and retain original parts. NOISE is the sound of restirction.
      I always say - who do you trust more - a major car maker that has spent millions on research and development or a backdstreet company or someone messing with software in their bedroom. Anyone can modify a MAP and push all the values up. You need to do a lot of other work to make sure all other components can deal with that as those on the car engine will not as standard.
      Performance Air Filters make no difference to power, most of them will not filter anywhere near to the standard required by the engine as their surface area is a lot smaller, the holes are bigger and they block faster degrading performance. A paper filter provides way more air than the engine can use at full RPM and is 12 times the surface area.
      As for turbulance in pipes - rubbish. Makes no difference whatsoever if the pipe is flexible, tough, polished, different colours etc. Show me the research on that one from the Snake Oil Company. The only way a solid hose can help is on the output of a turbo. That is to do with the air pressure.
      You can even take a hammer to the exhaust manifold and dent all the pipes, it makes no difference to power or torque!

    What do yous do with the working parts yous remove from the cars?

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  2 года назад +1

      We give the customer the option of having them put back in their car, where they don't want to do this and due to the limited space at our facility customers have a limited amount of time before they can either have us ship them to them at their cost or collect them. If this isn't done, we usually dispose or recycle of them where appropriate.

    Do you have to recalibrate the DCC when installing lowering springs? Assume it would be factory calibrated to a specific ride height, then when changed would need to be baselined to the new lower height? If so can u do this with OBD11 coding changes?

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  2 года назад +1

      In our experience of owning MK7 and MK8 Golf R models, we haven't needed to recalibrate after changing the ride height. For sure, if it is required because the system is not functioning afterwards then it is something we could cater for.
