I've got a problem at 8:52. Made it twice to make sure i did everything right. The new model doesn't want to rotate with the coach model. New model don't rotate, it stays in the same place. I messed something with merging probably?
I have the same problem. After you selected your model and changed mode to "Weight Paint" select original model and then press 'Weights-Transfer weights' - works for me
everything else went smoothly, but the textures i am having issues on. When I load into the campaign, my custom survivor does not load the textures, instead its just a wireframe.

Hey dude I have been troubleshooting this a lot (mostly because I have never used blender before above other things) but I got my model working not perfect but working. But when I went into a map that lets you see all the models along with spawning the infected themselves I saw it was working fine but when I spawned one in it was all purple and black missing textures. I have no idea why this happens because in theory the model should work but it doesn't. Please let me know if you have heard/dealt with something like this before because other than that this guide was very helpful and got everything working.

@@chrisredfield6444 I'm not professional XD but yes it's about the number of polygons, your model got too much detail, so there is some way to fix that, you can also see how many poly/vertices got your model by clicking on "viewport overlays" (top right) then statistic. so first select your model in edit select a poly and press "A" then press "X" and here you will be able to reduce the number of vertice/polygon, problem with source is you can't really import a hight detailed model into the game without problem, I got the same problem for two of my récent model and I still try to get them with detailed model without reduce.

you mean, your model doesn't got texture right ? if it's that you have to creat yourself but it's very very very very very very very very loooooooooooooong so don't take a model without texture, most of the time model got always texture

I'm doing a witch mod and I've been following the process for this, however, by the end of the tutorial, the model would not load as the one I edited. It only shows up as the default witch model, is it a different process for special infected mods? Edit: The model works now but the texture is this weird high contrast blue.

for some reason i have a "body.001" all the time with me which is the main body , is it supposed to be separate?
plus at the end when i import the qc , my character's bones are not where i putted them , they are inside the character ( coach)

you probably did a mistake with texture location or the vmt

because in blender vtf is not working, I suggest you to creat the vtf in jpg for see inside blender
