Im actually in tears. I dont know what to say but i am grateful the story ended on a high note. We got ''Old man carl'', we got to see the world rick grimes birthed and Negan Lives!
So I'm confused. Did the survivors fight back against the Zombies to the point where they're back in the majority and the zombies are in the minority, or, are the zombies still in the majority, but they've managed to expand and build a sustainable community where everyone can live a "normal life," just like how it was before the apocalypse?
Thank you for the effort you put into posting these issues for us to enjoy. I'm happy I stayed away from spoilers concerning issue 193 so I'm totally shocked that it's ending but what an awesome ending we got. Wasn't expecting Hershel to end up the way he did. Nice seeing Sebastian rot behind bars. Lydia stil loves Carl and even the shot we got of Negan was satisfying. But that statue of Rick brought everything on home for me.
Wow. I choked with tears when I read this finale for the first time. All the issues, all the deaths led up to this. Yes, the ending felt a bit rushed but those last few panels with Carl and his daughter Andrea were so sweet and such a good note to end. TWD comic > AMC TWD
There is something I do not understand about the end of the comic. In the past, when people died (either by been killed, illness or even natural causes) they would return as walkers, but many years after Rick's death this changed so much that walkers are now extremely rare to find. Was this a pandemic in which people somehow began to develop resistance against 'zombification' after death or just a brief apocalypse with an unjustifiable but happy ending?
I think people just handle the undead better and people who are close to death. When the outbreak started people had know idea what was happening. Most deaths were accidents, suicides, and murders from socity falling. A lot of people didn't know about bites, or killing the brain. Civilization came back and people aren't killing each other like crazy for survival and I'm guessing the dead are handled better to where they wouldn't overwhelm communities anymore.
Hershel has a point IMHO. Imagine running your business with zombies to remind others of how dangerous the world was, and then get all your circus zombies massacred by a vengeful Trials survivor.
To know by the end they had eventually overcome what tried to kill them…that what Rick wanted for his family and the remaining population has come to light, it’s just a very heartwarming end so something to heart-wrenching…
This series has gotten me through so much I'm going to miss it dearly it forever remains in my heart for generations to come as heartbreaking as it is to see it end so soon thank you Robert Kirkman 😔🙏🏻
Okay so looking back I wish that there could have been more buildup for Carl leaving Lydia for Sophia. And it makes me more frustrated when you realize that Sophia, the LITERAL longest existing female character in these comics, got killed off so early in the show and had almost no character development.
The Walking Dead's storyline does NOT that kind of genre. But, one could argue that Rick Grimes is the closest thing that The Walking Dead Universe had to a superhero.
@@johnivantaro6684 he was not a super hero who fought super villains who wants to destroy the world for some bullshit reason and wear a stupid custom with an underwear outside
Like most of the theories said, Carl would read the entire The Walking Dead story to his daughter about the journey of Rick Grimes. It’s officially over....
I never expected that theory to be real, it's called old man carl or something like that, to be honest I thought twd ending would have been something like the walkers finally taking over the world or humans finally exterminating them at a 100% or finding the cure
The entire ending of the comics is based around Carl’s future and the death of Rick, so I wonder how they will end the show. Hopefully not just give Judith, Carl’s ending with different character, they should completely make a new ending
@@celticcook3950 The biggest problem was Andrew leaving. While I understand that bouncing back and forth from the U.K to Atlanta every year is tiring for a family man, I wish he would have stuck it out for another couple of seasons so we could get a proper and true ending. Cause the story is about Rick’s legacy, hands down. I personally think they should have ended the show after All out War.
Don't cry be happy it over been reading this comic series for almost 4 year l guess it finally comes to an end Rip walking dead thank you robert Kirkmen
I can’t believe Glenn didn’t get more recognized in this comic and just got pushed back to his son not knowing him and no one knowing about him. Wtf he saved rick and this would’ve never happened if he didn’t save rick
I wish he would have atleast made it to 200 shame to I kind of liked the direction this was going 80+ per issue would have been an awesome addition going foward also smaller and cheaper conpendiums oh well 7/10 series it was a interesting journey
My only real complain is that while yes Rick was a symbol, like Michone said, a lot of people helped him along the way and i think that carl shoul have bought at least how much of a hero and good person glenn was to easy hershel pain a bit, like, make a memorial of all that died helping rick alongside his statue or something.

Hershel: Nobody will remember my dad. YOUR MOM IS THE FREAKING PRESIDENT! Heck Carl didn't even remember Lorie, he named his kid after one of his dad's girlfriends 😝 Instead of being jealous of a guy with statue of his dad you should be happy you have a living parent.
fleacythesheepgirl Hershel was most likely mad about his dad not being around because at 4:21 the old guy says that Maggie was barley there for him and just spoiled him.
Great ending to a great series! I especially loved Eugene's conclusion. It's inspiring to see him having come from a lying coward to reuniting the continent with an engineering masterpiece. I like how Kirkman recreated the Golden Spike historical moment in the Walking Dead. It's a sign that the apocalypse has officially ended and civilization is definitely back.
Old Man Carl came true...and it was the most powerful reading you could have ever hoped to read. Plus, Negan ❤❤ Thank You Robert and Charlie for a story that changed our lifes and forever the genre of zombies. I can't believe its over....FUCK 😩
I never liked TV Maggie or Comic Maggie. Glen would be so freakin ashamed, not to mention that those walkers were once people. Do they have any rights??? Super evil, I hope this has a decent ending and not be a game of thrones ending all over again because I definitely lost my faith in long series after that.
You can't compare TV maggie to comic maggie, at least she won't turn out to be a empty, hateful, spiteful Pamela Milton dictator who never let go of the hate she has for the man who took glenn. The tv version of her is 10x better, aside from the fact that they are forcing her to trust a man who think he gets to have a child and wife of his own. The very thing she and hershel couldn't get a chance to have, a family thanks to him.
Also I hate how he made Herschel a psycho weirdo. Maggie was stern and smart and Glenn was light hearted and caring. I pictured him running his own fetching business or something like running around for materials or equipment and all that, making Maggie mad but she’s still proud of him and sees Glenn in him. Kirkman: Nope, he’s just a sociopath zombie traveling circus creep with anger issues. Peace out 15 year old series *farts
Yeah I kinda feel a Little sorry for Herschel because of his struggle of an identity and a lack of a father. But fuck Maggie. She didn’t even consider that that walker could have eaten her adopted daughter child while no one was looking, but I guess she doesn’t consider her a grandchild. She’s most definitely the cause of Herschel behavior. Overall if Negan didn’t kill glen than it would a much nicer ending. She’s dead too me now
It actually made sense. Living on hilltop Maggie started seeing herself as a leader. She saw the hilltop as a starting place where people could return to back to normal life of living. Maggie couldn't truly get over Glen's death so it was this way of helping tolerate thatpain
I'm assuming when the tracks meet, the Commonwealth and Western Alliance will officially merge to recreate the United States. I think Maggie will be replaced by whoever's running the WA.
The way Andrea said “read it again” it makes me want to read issue 1 and 193 again 🙂 now that’s what I call a ending 😌

Thank you so very much, Capt. Badger for all of your hard work and posting these videos for us to enjoy. I will always be grateful for it. It has made me appreciate the TV series and all of the awesome characters and their stories as a result of incredible RUclipsrs like you. You will forever rock! 🖤🖤🖤
And with that, The Walking Dead is done...
comics , the shows and upcoming 3 movies not yet
@@CaseyRedgrave 3 movies? Doubt it. The show is gonna have at least another 2 seasons though.
@@CaleoGaming they said that they have three movies planned with Rick's story after he disappeared
@@CaleoGaming Movies have been confirmed and show still makes enough money so doubt all you want mate
@@CaleoGaming 3 movies, the show an upcoming spinoff series, and fear the walking dead is still going strong so we'll have the walking dead for the foreseeable future
I was kind of hoping to see Daryl on one of the fake covers at the end.
Carl a grown up this just reminds me of red dead
Same
John Marston
Im actually in tears. I dont know what to say but i am grateful the story ended on a high note. We got ''Old man carl'', we got to see the world rick grimes birthed and Negan Lives!
Reading this makes me very upset to know we’ll never get this in the show. But I loved this ending, it felt right
@@Levahzz not remotely close to the same impact
I heard they're going to give the shows ending to Judith Grimes
It's been a good run and it will be missed
Revisiting this now that the show has ended… Thanks for your service by scanning all these pages. 🙏
So I'm confused. Did the survivors fight back against the Zombies to the point where they're back in the majority and the zombies are in the minority, or, are the zombies still in the majority, but they've managed to expand and build a sustainable community where everyone can live a "normal life," just like how it was before the apocalypse?
It`s so safe to the point where killing zombies is pretty much illegal
It’s in the point where zombies are worth a lot
Thank you for the effort you put into posting these issues for us to enjoy. I'm happy I stayed away from spoilers concerning issue 193 so I'm totally shocked that it's ending but what an awesome ending we got. Wasn't expecting Hershel to end up the way he did. Nice seeing Sebastian rot behind bars. Lydia stil loves Carl and even the shot we got of Negan was satisfying. But that statue of Rick brought everything on home for me.
" he looks like he's calling down a storm from the heavens or something." I love that.
damn... I gotta call my dad and tell him I love
I find it funny how the Rick Grimes statue kinda makes him look like a "superhero".
Wow. I choked with tears when I read this finale for the first time. All the issues, all the deaths led up to this. Yes, the ending felt a bit rushed but those last few panels with Carl and his daughter Andrea were so sweet and such a good note to end.
TWD comic > AMC TWD
When one story ends, another one beings....
Andrea
Anyone else think carl was jesus for second with that facial hair
I thought it was Jesus since I hven't been keeping up with the series since Andrea died.
Hershel has a point IMHO. Imagine running your business with zombies to remind others of how dangerous the world was, and then get all your circus zombies massacred by a vengeful Trials survivor.
I think everyone is still infected with the virus so anyone can still turn anytime after they died unless the brain gets desrroyed.
did Carl and his new eyepatch remind anyone of Beric Dondarrion from Game of Thrones, or was it just me?
Considering Kirkman references GoT in his closing, I'd say a strong chance of being intentional.
Dude that is spot on! It would be so cool if Carl figured out how to make his sword light on fire
I d never thought I'd live to see this day the comics of the walking dead end it was a good long run we 'll always have the memories
To know by the end they had eventually overcome what tried to kill them…that what Rick wanted for his family and the remaining population has come to light, it’s just a very heartwarming end so something to heart-wrenching…
The best issue in the walking dead
This series has gotten me through so much I'm going to miss it dearly it forever remains in my heart for generations to come as heartbreaking as it is to see it end so soon thank you Robert Kirkman 😔🙏🏻
Okay so looking back I wish that there could have been more buildup for Carl leaving Lydia for Sophia. And it makes me more frustrated when you realize that Sophia, the LITERAL longest existing female character in these comics, got killed off so early in the show and had almost no character development.
But technically She was traded for Carol in the show and she got a lot of character development
The Walking Dead Has Ended
The Living Alive Has Started
Running alive lel
The Lying Alive
The flying alive.
Now I want to kill myself.
Shit I'd watch it
As much as I hate seeing this series end this ending is actually fantastic
At least it's good to know Sophia is alive. Not like in the amc series.
You can't really have people off to the side in a tv series...
@@thenewadventuresofhenry6998
They change everyone. Why not give her a chance??
And Carl
Carl looks like big boss from metal gear
Rick grimes is officially a superhero
The Walking Dead's storyline does NOT that kind of genre. But, one could argue that Rick Grimes is the closest thing that The Walking Dead Universe had to a superhero.
@@johnivantaro6684 he was not a super hero who fought super villains who wants to destroy the world for some bullshit reason and wear a stupid custom with an underwear outside
@@cuongviet2773 I meant metaphorically, in terms of Rick's willpower and courage.
Thank u for EVERY ISSUE! Unreal
The entire ending of the comics is based around Carl’s future and the death of Rick, so I wonder how they will end the show. Hopefully not just give Judith, Carl’s ending with different character, they should completely make a new ending
They really dug themselves a hole with the tv show.
I personally think they should have ended the show after All out War.
i feel emotional
thanks for this
This is still one of the best non super hero comics ever written, the show doesn't even come close to how good this comic was
Don't cry be happy it over been reading this comic series for almost 4 year l guess it finally comes to an end
Rip walking dead thank you robert Kirkmen
Its been around longer than that
Glenn in heaven: Wow my son is such a douchebag
The part when carl said they have ice-cream again got me :'(
I can’t believe Glenn didn’t get more recognized in this comic and just got pushed back to his son not knowing him and no one knowing about him. Wtf he saved rick and this would’ve never happened if he didn’t save rick
"Ps negan lives" best final line ever
I wish he would have atleast made it to 200 shame to I kind of liked the direction this was going 80+ per issue would have been an awesome addition going foward also smaller and cheaper conpendiums oh well 7/10 series it was a interesting journey
Glenn's spirit in the afterlife: "Son, I am disappoint. Yeah, I know I'm using a dorky meme, but it's simply to emphasize my point."
My only real complain is that while yes Rick was a symbol, like Michone said, a lot of people helped him along the way and i think that carl shoul have bought at least how much of a hero and good person glenn was to easy hershel pain a bit, like, make a memorial of all that died helping rick alongside his statue or something.
It's finally over. I'm not even sad. This awesome comic series had a long life. Was around when I was 17 now I'm going on 37. Thanks Robert Kirkman for giving us this awesome story. 😊
I dont believe its been that long
@@MM-ox2ex damn thats just wow but then this guy got his age wrong or he was getting copies 4 years early
@@thatcrazyguy834 sorry I miscalculated. 2003 Was 3 years after I graduated high school. So I was just starting my 20's 😄
But still it's been a long time. When u get older things in ure past kinda jumble together.
Just finished reading #193 (I ordered three copies before I read it) and it was a pleasant treat, an Instant classic. Wrapping u all of the old comic story lines and leaving it open to a return comic (Safe zones can be breached) with all new character's. Good to see new beginnings of new generations also. Love Carl's evolution, but I still love Judith more on the TV show.
Yes I love seeing a literal child hold and use a Colt Python and Mini Katana with no struggle whatsoever. Like shes only badass bc shes a Grimes. And they gave her the hat?! Wrong for that fr
Thank you so much man for all the issues you provided you the real mvp✌🏽💯
IT'S THE END OF AN ERA!!!! I'm torn up over this, but I'm so grateful for the joy and pain this series has brought me.
Thanks for taking the time to upload this. Got into TWD tv show and appreciate seeing how the comic ends.
Old Man Carl came true...and it was the most powerful reading you could have ever hoped to read. Plus, Negan ❤❤
Thank You Robert and Charlie for a story that changed our lifes and forever the genre of zombies. I can't believe its over....FUCK 😩
I never liked TV Maggie or Comic Maggie. Glen would be so freakin ashamed, not to mention that those walkers were once people. Do they have any rights??? Super evil, I hope this has a decent ending and not be a game of thrones ending all over again because I definitely lost my faith in long series after that.
the only right walkers have is the right to be destroyed
You can't compare TV maggie to comic maggie, at least she won't turn out to be a empty, hateful, spiteful Pamela Milton dictator who never let go of the hate she has for the man who took glenn. The tv version of her is 10x better, aside from the fact that they are forcing her to trust a man who think he gets to have a child and wife of his own. The very thing she and hershel couldn't get a chance to have, a family thanks to him.
Some people said that this ending was trash, but I liked it. It was better than no ending. The comics was way better than the show in my opinion.
Maggie has just straight up become Pamela Milton and Hershel is the new Sebastian.
Thanks capt badger for posting these throughout the years !!! Cheers to a great series
Thank you writers and artists of the walking dead
Spring 2028 is when all of The Walking Dead deluxe editions will be released
Am I the only one who cried when Carl’s daughter said “Read it again.”?🥺
At least we get a Negan story. Kirkman didn’t say that for no reason. It’ll probably be a few years but something is something.
Negan lives! You called it.
I knew Rick's Death was thing that would end this comic
27:43
Picks up volume 1:
LET'S. DO. THE TIME-WARP AGAAAAAAIN!!!!
She’s dead too me now
One thing I didn't like is how Maggie rises in importance(now she is the president?). Never liked that progression of her or how bitchy she became.
Seems like she became the next Pamela Milton.
I always took it as showing how she never really overcame Glenn dying and Negan being allowed to live for it
She became bitter because of her asshole son that gets everything he wanted.
