  • Start 2021 off right, with a very hearty and filling breakfast: the full English breakfast fry up! Well, almost... I don't have any blood pudding. This is a simple cook to perform with a Weber Q equipped with a griddle - because everything you cook on the grill cooks on the same heat and for the same level of time. You can modify or replace certain ingredients if you're instead looking to make an Irish breakfast, or an Aussie brekkie, or others! Happy New Year!

    I'll eat this any day. Looked great. I've been tob the UK quite a few times and this is pretty close to what they have on breakfast buffets.

      A breakfast buffet at a hotel is where I learned of the concept of full English breakfasts... then realized they serve the same thing in pretty much every cafe too. A first it was like, who eats beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, and limp bacon for breakfast? but you know what? It's pretty freakin' good and filling.

      Hi Rob! The thing I like about this fry up, is that even though there are a lot of components, it all cooks in the same amount of time so it's easy to do - and super filling! Enjoy!

      Yes I've had black pudding in the UK and it is tasty. But it is a little bit hard to find here unless I go to a specialty shop. Yessir, this will get your appetite going so fire up that Q! Thanks for watching and happy new year! Keep on inspiring!

    Great to see an American cooking the full English. It’s black pudding (albeit it is a blood sausage so you are correct, and I don’t eat it either).

      It's a bit of work to prep it all, but it fills you up all day long :-)
      My fiance says she thinks she knows where I can get the black pudding here in Chicago. Maybe I will add it next time so I can say I had it and gave it a try!

    You can always pull the paper off the beans and then open the top half way. Those can go right on a grill grate

      Hi Andy! Funny you mention that, because if things go as planned, I have a marinated chicken thigh recipe I want to cook up tonight, for a video next week. If you are looking for chicken breast, I have a balsamic chicken breast recipe that I did late last year. Truth be told, I do not find much difference between the Weber griddle vs third party. I’d save a few dollars and just buy non original.

    Hey bro wanna say I’ve been enjoying your videos. Just unpacked my
    Weber myself and will be making some of your recipes.
    I did wanna mention, and my view was quick and I might be wrong on this, but wire brushes might be a bit harsh on porcelain coated grates no? I have them on my smoker which is my main joy and I usually use balled up foil to clean them instead of a wire brush to help preserve their non sick properties. I might be overboard though.
    Anyways keep making videos and keep showing us what we can do on these things. Take care and keep grilling my friend

    • @ChicagoGriller
      @ChicagoGriller  3 года назад

      Hi Salvador! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy trying some of these cooks yourself.
      Truth be told, I've found that it seems almost everything is harsh on porcelain coated grates lol. Flat scraper or bristles and just regular cleanings seem to wear them down pretty quick. I've just replaced my Q2000 grates with straight cast iron and am curious if they last longer. That said, I've never personally tried balled up foil so maybe I'll do that on my Q1200 which still has the enameled grates and see if that has an effect on how long the grates last.

    Hey Jerry, Can I ask which gas is better for the Weber 2200, LPG or Natural? does it matter? (apartment living, VIC, Australia). Thank you for the content (now I want a bbq XD).

    • @ChicagoGriller
      @ChicagoGriller  3 года назад

      Hi Jim! To be honest, I don't have experience hooking the Q up to natural gas. In the US, the Q's are sold with LP hookups. That said, I would imagine they run the same no matter what type of gas connection you use. 12,000 BTUs should be 12,000 BTUs. Just make sure you have the right regulator or adapter for the type of gas to use. Thanks for watching!
