I see smart use of money on parts. By the time they got this rig the engine, trans, and t-case were well worn and will need rebuilt. By the time you rebuild them (if you can) you're spending a lot of money that could be used on new parts. Axles are weak usually points. Ask a Wrangler owner who puts 35s on a stock Dana 30 and breaks a shaft when it gets bound up. A wise man once said "you can buy nice or buy twice". The choice is yours.
I had a 1984 S-10 Blazer that made 450hp my Nephew ran it 14.5 in the 1/4 mile, it had a 383 stroker hooked up to a 700R4 transmission. It was a very fun little truck to drive. I sold it back to my Nephew, he’s put in mini wheel tubs a roll cage and Nitrous
I really love this video and all the parts you're putting on "BIG BLAZE "". I wish you guys were my mechanics, I have a great shop where I go for maintenance and repairs, but you guys are legends
I remember watching these and one day realizing they rarely did any actual work. Then xtreme 4x4 came on and set the bar a bit higher. Not just fake wrench turning, cut aways, and pointing.
5 point harnesses, on a 6 cylinder truck, that only runs 12’s.... talk about overkill. Should’ve dropped a V8 in that truck. The stereo will push that thing better than the engine 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Pay attention to what you’re watching. It’s a 400hp v6. That’s crazy good for that engine and light truck. This show was made 15 years ago or better. 400hp was a lot back then.
This show was part of my weekend ritual. Wake up and watch these shows then detail the car and go for a cruise later on, ahh the good ole days.
Yup..me too.....42 now....
Ah yes, sunday morning Trucks, exactly as it should be
Feel like a young boy again!
I really miss this episodes on Weekends back in the day
It's great to see what someone can do with an unlimited budget !!!
Must be nice 🙏

Man I wish goodyear still made that tread pattern.
Wish that was my 1986 k5 Blazer rust bucket
Ahh the stacy David infomercial
I like that Hot air intake
Stacy has a show called Gearz. Just as good if not better than Trucks. A lot of good how to. Resto to full builds.
Miss this
Like going back in time.
Wow, what a mechanic!, Let's spend money...
Ahhhhh time for the good stuff
78👍's up guys thanks again for taking us all along with you for the rest of the story
In an ideal world… how long does it take to drop a 700R4 and slap a new OER version into place (on an 87’ K5) with a knowledgeable, honest mechanic?
I have to replace the transmission and
Transfer case. In mine
I remember seeing this on show Saturday mornings on cmt
"Those N O S stickers"
wow the days when we thought of 700-R4 as bulletproof
A young stacy
I need the square electrical plug that goes to a wire coming out of the fire wall on a R4 trans. Can’t find one anywhere

Stacy is a hell of a fabricator and knows his $#!+
@@ls6-ss413 im sure he does, it was more of a comment on the shows production and direction. Could be better.
How long ago was this episode made? it looks like it was recorded in 1995 lol
That’s probably not far off. I’d say late 90s or early 00s
2001
Sad what happened to this truck 😥
What happened to it?
@@ls60fd somebody got a hold of it and stripped all of the expensive parts off, axles, engine, wheels, etc. Then they put stock garbage on.
@@ls6-ss413 Ah ok that sucks. Thanks for the info
hit any thing thing with a large enough fire ammo . it will be destroyed.
ship the emblems to me

Bruh the s10 is such a ricer🤣😂😂
It can't be worse than the f150 Cajun Boston guy did over on Truck Tech.
Oml i just looked at it😂😂😂
That was the style 20 years ago when that truck was built
Nothings bulletproof bud
