  • It’s a real world, workin’ man’s truck on the block! Stacey shows you how to take a late model diesel pickup and make it better, stronger and tougher than it was before. It’s something that can be done in the span of one weekend, without breaking the bank, proving once again, that you can have a cool truck and still use it on the job.

Stacy is the man..... builds all brands and does it the right way. I'm 43 now but when I was a teenager he got my full attention every Saturday morning on tnn.(aka cmt)...he makes sure to show you little tricks (measuring the torsion bar adjuster)I'm glad he's still inspiring people. Nothing but love ❤ Stacy

No brother... Thank you.... You have no idea how much crap I would have absolutely destroyed if you hadn't been there to show me before hand, you probably could have produced a season with the money it would have cost....I've been a lol (repair technician) for 23 years. I'm still an apprentice in my opinion. I learn new things all the time... sometimes even from guys younger than me. Watching you inspired me.
I'm not a auto, truck, marine or equipment technician, I'ma if it's broken, I'm going to give it my best shot and get it fixed technician. Doesn't matter if it floats, flies, or goes across the land I'll work on it. I got sick with COVID in 2020 and until 6 months ago wasn't worth a crap. I found your channel while I was stuck in bed. I wanted so bad to be back in the shop ..... my shop. Watching you kept me busy and my attitude positive.... you are showing the way for alot of guys ..... and you hang out with Ted friggin Nugent and built one of the rowdiest bronco I've ever seen... the way it rode a wheelie off the top of that hill was impressive.
      Keep doing it Stacey 🇺🇸🏆❤️.
      P. S.
sorry for the misspell on my first post. I didn't proofread lol

I'm 6' 5" tall and I'd be the first to tell you that most of these 4x4 2500's already sit so high from the factory that it's a pain to load things into the bed or reach all the tools in your tool box from the ground. If I worked out of it every day, a lift and taller tires would be last on my list.

I'm running those tires in 285. I haven't done a lift, but I have completely restored the front suspension on my '90 silverado 4x4 with oem equipement. Also new shackles on the back. I bought some Crager soft 8's in the oem size, except the offset kicks them out a little. It's a good look, and for an all-season, daily-driver highway-runner, it gets pretty good mileage with the 4.6 v6. I kept the oem wheels and will run them in the summer on smaller tires.

I have seen several short contractors with their lowered tailgate at about eye level. Makes complete sense for a work truck. But those are usually the same ones that won't ever take their truck in any mud, or off road trails.... Which makes even more sense having a lifted truck . But they sure look nice covering 2 parking spaces where they park!

Some people want the look but don't want to trash their truck. Especially at what new trucks cost. It's not that hard to spend $50k on a new truck. It's the same as the guy with the blown big block that never takes a pass down the drag strip.

Lifts on trucks are an mistake. Larger and especially wider tires put more stress and wear on the steering box sector shaft, tie rods drag links, ball joints, bearings and brakes. Wider larger tires demand larger suspension, drive and steering components. It's not as simple as throwing on a lift to do things properly.

Firestone eight foot bedw with Rhino lining wheel well tool boxes receiver hitch and the baby of the Ford V8 5.0 with 150,000+miles and still pulls a single axle cargo trailer and a tandem axle equipment trailer. Oh it's plan Jane XL black grill old fashioned steel painted rear bumper bench seat and a AC that still works. The last trip with the 8' bed fully loaded and the cargo trailer loaded to the gills about 6,500 lbs and a total trip miles of 1,600+ and NO PROBLEMS!!! Living proof PMs WORK!!!!
