I bought it a few months ago due the all the positive reviews but I'm pretty sure those were mostly paid since they all said the same thing. After trying it it's ok. The reviews weren't lying, but optimistic to say the least. Application in particular is a challenge.
I use the Mothers every once in a while. Kind of fun to take a break from using sealants all the time and it is still reasonably effective so it does not feel like you are wasting time as you are still actually putting down an acceptable level of protection. Some things I noticed about this wax: -I find it difficult to do the swipe test with compared to some other waxes as it usually just smears even after fully drying this makes it a bit tricky to time right - it gets pretty grippy even if you use just a little too much. -Overall I still find it fun to use, sometimes I even apply it to just the bonnet for fun I also have the can form of Gold Class. Haven't really used it all that much yet but I do know it does the swipe test better than the Mothers which is pretty satisfying to me.
My first experience with a wax was Gold Class Plus on my 04 Mustang. The amount of masking it did to the paint had me go bonkers with excitement. It wasn’t until I found 845 that won my over due to the insane durability and clarity. Ironically, I refuse to ceramic coat my daily because I love the finish of 845 lol.
I bought a bottle of 845 several years ago, but still haven’t used it. Got scared off by the reported “sweating” or hazing it can leave the next day. If I’m detailing a client’s car, I can’t have that happening after my detail job is done. 🤷🏻♂️
I've been wanting to try that Turtle Wax Graphene Paste Wax since it was introduced as the 75th Anniversary Special Edition Wax a while back. I started detailing 40+ years ago using the old "green goop" original Turtle Wax! LOL. Thanks for posting Sandro. Very good (and objective as possible) review.
I waxed my car after claying it last weekend with that wax and it really was worth it. Also bought the same car soap just to help keep up with how well it works, but in these testing I guess it didn't really matter as it stood up really good. Wiping it off after it hazed up wasn't difficult either. Just a little work like a normal paste wax always is. Though it is easier than the older stuff from say 15 to 20 years ago.
Thanks Sandro. I have used TW 🐢 - user experience was ok. Did love the smell though. Finish was quite impressive and your durability test tells me alot!
I couldn't agree more about the turtle wax. The difficulty in application casued me to over apply, and that made the removal a nightmare. Not that it was really hard to remove, it did come off cleanly, but it was so grippy I was really feeling it in my shoulders by the time I finished. I'm getting good durability, but will use something else next time for sure. I don't care how long it lasts, I'd rather apply an enjoyable wax once a month than than the tw once a year. Honestly I think tw super hard shell is easier to apply, and that's saying something.
I use usually once a year the meguiras ultimate paste wax, and after every car wash I use the chemical guys butter wax on top of the still a little wet paint. Helps to completely dry the paint with additional shine.

Sandro, if I may share some experience with the Turtle Wax Graphene Ceramic Paste... With the application I find that [for me] with any hard paste I rub the wax with a couple of fingers to "warm" it up to make it a little maliable then take a lightly dampened microfiber applicator to the wax then apply thinly in traditional circular technique. As with ALL of the modern Turtle Wax sealants and waxes I use an initial wipe off [suggested in many of their directions) with a dampened short pile microfiber followed with a fluffy buffy. Again, for me it is a technique that works consistently. I have found as with you that the TW Ceramic-Graphene Paste has benefits with the curing time [up to 72 hours) as it definitely gets more slick and seems to enhance the jetting effects - as well, there are [claimed] 10 real waxes in this blend which in my opinion gives that Carnuba style warm glow. And, as you found has excellent hydrophobics and may I add very good chemical and UV resistance. To summarize, although a bit finicky there is a small learning curve to maximize the ease of use and benefits with this wax. Without too much fuss - once there - the results have been very satisfying. I always enjoy your vids and approach. Shine on you crazy diamond!
So doing the initial wipe off with a damp microfiber doesn’t lessen its durability? I find the application rather easy it’s the buff off that seems almost impossible

It's nice to see a little wax battle again! 👍. But instead of meguiar's gold class carnauba plus, I would have preferred to see the new improved formula of meguiar's ultimate liquid wax or paste wax!. Much more hydrophobic and more resistant and a nice shine.

I've heard from people to avoid chemical guys and that they were a gimick. Given they're sold at walmart with the other name brands it raises an eyebrow to me. Personally I've used Meguiars since I was a teenager, but personal experience plus your tests is turning me onto turtlewax more and more after their revamps. Mind you I moved away from turtlewax originally when after flashing it "bonded" so hard that I could not remove it and I had to take acetone to the area to remove it - I asked the company for comment and they didn't even reply. [That was 15 years ago though]
No gimmick, they use real chemicals just like everyone else lol there brake cleaner products works good, there ceramic coating works really good, my roommate hit my driver side mirror one night and it had a huge black streak of paint transfer and I simply went out and cleaned it off after 5 mins of elbow grease with the ceramic quick detail, but also the car was already covered with the ceramic wax from chemical guys since may, this happen a few weeks ago and I didn't apply any additional wax in between those months
Hello Sandro, Great review and video. You lads certainly get hammered on price, when paying for these products. Mind you, we are probably going the same way in Britain, down to the halfwits that voted us out of Europe. A favourite wax of mine is Poorboy's Natty's Blue paste wax. Reasonably priced, smells great, easy to apply and buff (even in hot temps), the only caveat is that it has low durability. Keep up the good work.👍👍👍
it seems the Turtle Wax had the most durability. That is possibly a big factor in the comparison as it seemed to hold up much better than the other three.
Sandro, Love the vid. Thank you for your testing. In other videos I’ve watched about Butter Wet Wax, as well as my own experience, I’ve seen it’s not meant to last long, but just have great shine immediately after application, but no longevity or durability. I only apply it to my show car right before a car show I’ve been wanting to use turtle wax for awhile, so your vid just convinced me a little more now. Thanks and keep up the awesome content!
Seal N Shine for the win, oh wait lol. I've tried none of these, and after buying TW's Ceramic Spray wax and found it garbage I'll stick to SNS until I apply actual ceramic. Best value and performance of any product I've ever used and that's the original version.
I've been using Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine for over two years with great results. It's very cost competitive, available locally, goes on easy and wipes off easy and lasts 5-9 months! Best bang for the buck! Great long lasting shine and beading.
Sandro, you have not a great review (as usual) only, you have described animal world (sheeps) of reviews as well in a best way I think. I am using Google reviews for everything as well, but not to convince myself - just to get an average idea only, but still being skeptical. But I know one guy who’s reviews are 100% correct, honest and no need to be re-checked. I hope you know him as well))) You are doing reviews at a completely another level Sandro, that’s why we all are watching them! Cheers from Sweden.
I use Better Wet Wax to break down and remove bugs, other stains, tree sap, etc. on the windshield and body panels before the rinse. But I swear I thought I was using it wrong the first time I applied it to a panel as a beginner because the water repelling behavior was very poor.
Its for bring out the natural shine and to help get rid of built up gunk on the car after the wash, if you want more hydrophobic properties I would check out there ceramic coating line, I have there product for that and so far good results after being on there for months, recommend you clay bar the car first after the wash for the best results
Thanks Sandro I took you’re advice and used Scholl W6 topped with NV LUSTRE. I found W6 not very friendly to wipe off actually it was a really bad experience. LUSTRE was an absolute dream to use compared to W6 and probably to easiest I’ve ever used. The gloss and end result left me speechless smiling from ear to ear. If I put NV JET over W6 and LUSTRE will it alter the amazing gloss finish.
I've tried the 3 bottled waxes on the same car...black paint...none gave more than a few weeks of realistic life...Meg's was best for looks...chem guys is waste of money...yet to try turtle wax...have tried their ceramic, graphene spray and that's great stuff so assume the paste wax to be same...but whatever works for you..
Helpful video. I especially liked the opinions and subjectivity since yours was basis was rationale. I'd like you opinion on prep for these. Seems some people think you need to clay bar and polish before starting any waxing. This seems like overkill unless the surface is in clearly poor condition.
@@GreenWitch1 I used CARPRO UK 3.0 Two coatings 24hrs apart CARPRO GLISS 1 coat 24hrs after the the 2nd coat of 3.0 Now I use a sacrificial coat over the ceramic coatings of SCHOLL W6 topped with NV LUSTRE and about to top with NV JET. These sealants give amazing gloss and extremely hydrophobic when used in that order.
@@andyc86 Thanks so much! I’m not at that stage yet as my car is very old & has rock chips. I’m ready to fill them in & then I’ll polish once more and apply the ceramic coating. I’m anxious to be finished 😓

How does the Meguiars Gold Class compare to their Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax? Interested in visual appearance in terms of color saturation, gloss, depth and clarity of metallic paint.
Hey Sandro, Based on the video you did about a year ago "Best Car Wax Olympics Showdown", Bowdens Own Beaut Beads being the winner, comparing TurtleWax Ceramic Graphene, what would you rather? Also just a quick question... If I wanted to use a wax and a spray sealant, do I layer the wax then the sealant? Or do I spray the sealant then put the wax ontop? - Spray sealant such as Bead maker, Wet coat and Autoglym Polar Seal (if that's even considered a spray sealant). Many thanks in advance!!!
I think if you’re looking for a “real” car wax, Beaut Beads is just a beautiful car wax in every way - though not cheap! TW ceramic/graphene is really more of a sealant in paste wax form, or at least that’s what it felt like to me - but there’s nothing wrong with that. Typically you would apply your sealant as your foundation layer and top it from time to time with your wax.
Love these types of videos keep up the good work, What applicator pads are these? What typically was your go to wax when you were working as a mobile detailer?
IMHO, I used to be a die hard fan of Meguiar's (3M) and Mother's products. I started DIY detailing my cars with Chemical Guys 14 years ago. But now I use more progressive sealants and ceramic coatings from Adam's, P&S and others. Turtlewax has come a long way. There are just so many good products out there now. And I don't see the difference (warmth) between a waxed car and a sealed/ceramic coated car. You can get much better gloss results than you used to using glazes and waxes. After using them, P21s, Dodo Wax, etc. are just marketing hype to me.
Agreed. The latest sealants and coatings do such a great job when it comes to gloss, protection and ease of use that I don't have any desire to wax a car any more.
Wow that Turtle Wax really turned around from application to performance. Seeing its price, I wonder how it would hold up against other hybrid sealants and sealants. If it can hold its own against them, I'd argue it would be worth the price. Honestly I have the Butter Wet Wax but I've even yet to use it tbh. I rarely use wax as I really don't see a point in them over sealants, but after seeing this I extra don't see a point to using that one. Seems like a product I'd donate for a doorprize at a show or meet but honestly I'd kinda feel a bit bad giving someone else such a lackluster product. Guess it'll be another shelf-warming product that I have but never know what to do with 😂 Maybe I can put it on my Hot Wheels cars or something lol
In my experience it's not worth the price considering the miserable experience, and I've tried it. I think I over applied, but I gave it a few tries and it was just not a fun time. Also from long term reviews it's not making it past about 4 months which is only marginally better than something like gold class which imo looks better, is way easier to apply, and is about 1/4 the price. I guess if all you care about is water beading then go for it.
I have mentioned this before, just do not understand the fascination of beading. Where i live it all it does is cause water spots when it dries, whereas a sheeting product because the water is almost non existent does not.
I've only used Meguiars and now use PureWax Nanotech Sealant which is incredibly easy to use with insane finish. Would like your opinion if you have used this product.
It really depends on what you want out of it. Scholl Vintage wax is very expensive but looks and performs beautifully, Collinite 845 (kind of a past wax) is beautiful to use and for the price is great. Meguiars also makes Gold Class in a paste form which is also very nice and affordable.
Love it sheep following sheep , unfortunately it's the done thing in this day and age all around the world, don't mention the DOUBLE STANDARDS we see now 👍
I knew off the bat that the Meguiars and Turtle Wax would be the best products. Not the greatest out there, but for a more simple wax, they are ok. The TW is selling on Amazon for around $140 !! Now if that isn't a rip, I don't know what is ?
Wouldn't say that, they have real chemicals in there products just like everyone else lol I've used most of there products and it's on par/ greater than the products they're offering at the store at times, some of those store brand chemicals are lacking certain chemicals to even help with breaking shit down lol
Tw is amazing. Chemical guys, I hate their products. There are so many bad products that hurt your vehicle. All they are is a huge marketing company that makes way too many products that confuse people.
Chemical guys puts to many products out is a marketing company not a real premium brand most of not all are disappointing maguries always impresses me and is better priced
I don’t know if it’s your inexperience or what, but it seems your application technique is all wrong. Perhaps this is why you’re getting odd results. Please practice more, it’ll make you perfect!

True. In South Africa it is selling as DNA. Don't know why
Great video as always 👍, from my own experience, almost every product I have used from chemical guys and Adams was absolutely waste of money 💰
Hello Sandro,
Great review and video.
Wolfgang sealant……nuff said. The stuff is amazing.
Sandro,
Love the vid. Thank you for your testing. In other videos I’ve watched about Butter Wet Wax, as well as my own experience, I’ve seen it’s not meant to last long, but just have great shine immediately after application, but no longevity or durability. I only apply it to my show car right before a car show
I’ve been wanting to use turtle wax for awhile, so your vid just convinced me a little more now.
Thanks and keep up the awesome content!
Hi Sandro. You should try the Autoglym UHD wax. So nice to apply and remove. Bilt Hamber Double Speed wax is also very good.
Seal N Shine for the win, oh wait lol. I've tried none of these, and after buying TW's Ceramic Spray wax and found it garbage I'll stick to SNS until I apply actual ceramic. Best value and performance of any product I've ever used and that's the original version.
Seal N Shine is a super product, very easy to apply and gives great gloss and protection.
I really do need to bare-down and score a bottle. But I’ve got a wife named Fusso that doesn’t like the company. 😂
I've been using Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine for over two years with great results. It's very cost competitive, available locally, goes on easy and wipes off easy and lasts 5-9 months! Best bang for the buck! Great long lasting shine and beading.
I used the turtle was, it is amazing
Sandro, you have not a great review (as usual) only, you have described animal world (sheeps) of reviews as well in a best way I think. I am using Google reviews for everything as well, but not to convince myself - just to get an average idea only, but still being skeptical. But I know one guy who’s reviews are 100% correct, honest and no need to be re-checked. I hope you know him as well))) You are doing reviews at a completely another level Sandro, that’s why we all are watching them! Cheers from Sweden.
Haha thanks Sergey I greatly appreciate it as always my friend!
Great job
Best test
My favourite wax atm is glossome wax by phoenix eod.
Just did a similar test Sandro. Great minds and all!
Great to hear the finished look was fantastic and I think Jet will look and perform great over them.
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the support!!
I haven’t even thought about using wax since watching your videos.
Thanks to Sandro I’ve done the full ceramic cycle and gone back to wax for the lush deep gloss you only get with wax.
@@andyc86 Thank you! Which ceramic coating did you choose?
@@GreenWitch1 I used CARPRO UK 3.0
Two coatings 24hrs apart
CARPRO GLISS
1 coat 24hrs after the the 2nd coat of 3.0
Now I use a sacrificial coat over the ceramic coatings of
SCHOLL W6 topped with NV LUSTRE and about to top with NV JET.
@@GreenWitch1 If you use Carpro ceramic coating use Carpro essence to polish the paint so you won’t have to wipe down with isopropyl alcohol after polishing and the ceramic coating will bond better. Just watch Sandros video for application he is an absolute master.
Hey Sandro
I can tell that u really liked that song for nena by hans johnson. I love it too, i loved it since the first time from that Holden Monaro detail focused on gloss, (My favourite video you ever made, maybe even my fav detailing vid on the whole youtube)
I love your content bro, your videos are top class
Thanks mate really appreciate that and yes I really love that song!
If you should know i am your follower all the way from Lesotho in South Africa, You make me be able to take car of my car so well Sandro
If I ever want to try a new product.. I come to see if the man him self Sandro has done a video about it. With out a doubt the best RUclips content creators for car detailing.
I was wondering if it would be something you’d consider doing a review on NXTZEN ceramic coating? :) I’ve just coated a car in it and found it was a very easy and very friendly user experience.. maybe just me but would be great to see a video on ! :)
Appreciate that mate and I’ll add Nxtzen to my list and keep an eye out for it.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing anytime mate just the truth always giving unbiased, honest reviews in full detail and by far the best results on what we want to know. :)
Sounds great mate thanks you :)
I have the same meguair, turtle wax and adams butter wax and i can say j have the same results. Butter wax goes on easy but doesn't last more than two washes. Turtle wax is good, last about 7-9 washes or about 3 months, same as the meguairs. Meguairs hide swirls better than turtle wax.
Thanks for sharing that
Great review Wax is not dead To the weekend warrior or professional detailer there will always be a place for paste wax Follow the shepard and not the HERD. Originality is rare LETS wax SH** In sandro we trust
🙂 Thanks Bob and wax is certainly not dead!
Dont believe Google people . Believe Sandro, when it comes to products for detailing .
🙂
You know where you went wrong, you didn't use your ChemicalGuys microfiber applicator, microfiber wax towel followed with Chemical guys detail spray and CG finishing microfiber (those that know)😅
Thanks again for another unbiased Review Mate. Always look for your vids & reviews on a product.
I'm thinking of The TW paste for a decent lasting protection for clients
Look like less waterspot on CG butter wet wax for long term use 😁😁
How does the Meguiars Gold Class compare to their Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax? Interested in visual appearance in terms of color saturation, gloss, depth and clarity of metallic paint.

Hey Sandro,
Based on the video you did about a year ago "Best Car Wax Olympics Showdown", Bowdens Own Beaut Beads being the winner, comparing TurtleWax Ceramic Graphene, what would you rather?
Nothing beats Zaino in my opinion.
Do Turtle Wax Graphene Paste Wax vs Soft99 Fusso Coat
Love these types of videos keep up the good work, What applicator pads are these? What typically was your go to wax when you were working as a mobile detailer?
Thanks, they’re Shine Mate foam applicators and I used Pinnacle Souvern wax a lot, Meguiars NXT paste wax was another favourite
If you don’t think Chemical Guys is marketing hype I don’t know what to tell you 😂😅
@@Ichabod_Jericho I don't use it anymore. But, they used to give me free bottles of their products.
@@dtna jealous. A gallon is cheap as shit why not use it? Only ask cause I put it on every customer I’ve ever waxed.
P&S has a good sealant? Which one?
Hey sandro, try get some siramik lustrous... Its the most durable sealant on planet earth. Try it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Can’t see it sold here locally but I’ll keep an eye out for it
Wow that Turtle Wax really turned around from application to performance.
Performed well in this test of the spray bottle version as well:ruclips.net/video/uYxKQwZah1s/видео.html
Dude, I couldn't decide. Which one would you recommend? 6:05 6:05 6:05
There are too many good products, I prefer Maguires Gold class, very good wax & super glossy.
I have mentioned this before, just do not understand the fascination of beading. Where i live it all it does is cause water spots when it dries, whereas a sheeting product because the water is almost non existent does not.
Ive had nothing but great results with Butter Wet Wax
I've only used Meguiars and now use PureWax Nanotech Sealant which is incredibly easy to use with insane finish. Would like your opinion if you have used this product.
No I haven’t used it, but great here you’ve found something you really like and enjoy
How surprising a chemical guys product is a disappointment😂
Which paste wax would you recommend??
It really depends on what you want out of it. Scholl Vintage wax is very expensive but looks and performs beautifully, Collinite 845 (kind of a past wax) is beautiful to use and for the price is great. Meguiars also makes Gold Class in a paste form which is also very nice and affordable.
Love it sheep following sheep , unfortunately it's the done thing in this day and age all around the world, don't mention the DOUBLE STANDARDS we see now 👍
Sandro, have you ever considered a career in audiobooks?
FuSO? I thought that was the top ranked, no?
Great !
I knew off the bat that the Meguiars and Turtle Wax would be the best products. Not the greatest out there, but for a more simple wax, they are ok. The TW is selling on Amazon for around $140 !! Now if that isn't a rip, I don't know what is ?
Its a rip off lol. $35 + tax at my local autostore.
If the interwebs say so, must be true.
Google says lots of stuff 😂
Good one😂
Chemical guys products are basically just water
Wouldn't say that, they have real chemicals in there products just like everyone else lol I've used most of there products and it's on par/ greater than the products they're offering at the store at times, some of those store brand chemicals are lacking certain chemicals to even help with breaking shit down lol
Don't include the foam applicator squeaking on the paint in the audio!! I hate that sound it sends shivers down my spine 😵😵
Collinite 845........"Am I dead to you Sandro ?? Well, am I ??". 😁
I thought 845 would be more highly recommended in my research, so no you’re still well alive to me 🙂
Tw is amazing. Chemical guys, I hate their products. There are so many bad products that hurt your vehicle. All they are is a huge marketing company that makes way too many products that confuse people.
Wait these are completely diff products
Chemical guys puts to many products out is a marketing company not a real premium brand most of not all are disappointing maguries always impresses me and is better priced
IMHO, all junk when compared to the Essence/W6/Lustre combo you used on your brother’s car! VLog42 Rules!!
They are all the same. Pick one and apply every 3 months or 4 times a year
Come on sandro.
CG = Coloured Gel 🤷♂️
Chemicals guys...........Always the worst product!!!!
Chemical guys is garbage. I’ve had great success with TW hybrid line though.
Chemical guys is crap. Butter wet wax at the top of the crap list
