An excellent analysis! You have gone right to the point on these products: we have gloss, we have hydrophobics, and we have longevity. Which of these is important to you and does the value fit your use. It makes it easier to select the product that meets your or your customers' needs. And the insight you provide is key so that we know what to expect during the application. I have used most of these and I think you nailed it. Currently, I use the Ultralock+, the Turtle Wax Graphene Max, and the Souveran - all with excellent results :)

I was surprised at the added slickness when I used the Turtle Wax Flex after washing s few times on both the truck and car. Flex Wax added much better hydrophobic and added gloss + slickness.

I live on the Central Coast NSW Australia and since doing the full decontamination, polish, and coating 8 months ago I have found the performance and overall lasting protection fantastic. As you said you do get what you pay for, and the effort you put in makes a big difference. I do add a topper of Flex Wax about every 3rd wash as it's ease of use is brilliant. Hey Pan, I don't have experience with any of those, but I do with Blackfire Paint Sealant. It usually lasts 5-6 months in Florida with the car being garaged. It is very slick and easy to apply with no strong smells. One of the cons is the gloss doesn't seem to last as long. From my experience, the glossy look starts to fade after a month or two. But the protection is still there with water beading and sheeting. I bought CarPro's HydrO2 Lite to try out as a top layer the next time I wash the car. With any wax or sealant, it's always best to avoid touching the plastics. If you get some accidentally, no worries, just wipe immediately, or use a bit of APC and wipe. Or tape the plastic trim to be 100% safe.
But to my knowledge, none of these should leave white residue on plastics except for the Jescar and Wolfgang potentially.

Hey Pan, I recently started watching your videos, thank you for all the knowledge man. Was thinking on doing auto detail on the side of my 9-5. When you do a detail for a customer and they want a wax, would you tend to do a spray or specify traditional, by hand or machine which would take a lot longer..any way you can do a video on different wax applications for ex - quick wax Vs a specialized or more focused wax or when you go to a job and you say your going to do a wax and the customer asks or specifies what type of wax application they would want. Do you already have a price point or just depends on the job?

Happy New Year Pan! Excellent vid seemingly aimed at the weekend warrior/driveway detailer. Although familiar [doing my own research] with all of the products reviewed here, I've only used the TW MAX. I live in south central Maine U.S. and do not garage my Tornado (flat) Red GTI, which is the vehicle that I have primarily used the MAX WAX. I have used it on several clients' cars who garage their vehicles, which has tended to give the wax some longevity.
That being said, for my GTI, my priorities are appearance. Durability is important, yes, but I obsess over it enough that it's not my top concern. What I really like about the MAX along with gloss and shine is the jetting effect on the red paint. It definitely gives it a deeper tone - possibly due to the Carnuba content(?) Imho it's gr8 stuff. The extra step with the damp cloth (for me) is minor. I use that technique with all of their higher end products - Seal&Shine and Ceramics included. It just works... Imho topping the MAX with FLEX occasionally is a terrific combo. Keep up your good work - shine on you crazy diamond!

@Pan The Organizer hi Pan, honestly, I can't really say about the MAX durability. Although it seems solid, my OCD won't let me wait that long...lol. Usually, within 4-5 weeks, I've topped it with FLEX spray. And then, sometime after that, I've coated it with the Ceramic Graphene Paste. THAT👈🏼 combo the last 2 seasons has been bulletproof. Punch up my channel, I made a short show-off vid! Thx Pan, I always appreciate your mojo.

It is garage kept and I live in the desert of WA state, but the car is my daily driver and sits in the parking lot at work all day. The windshield still rolls water off without need of wipers. It doesn't bead as tight in the paint as it did the first year or two, but I am amazed at how well it is still doing. Chicago, Illinois, USA (My first comment may have been lost in the internet, so I’m reposting). If you remember, you and Obsessed dialed me onto the Jescar Power Lock /Colinite 845 combo. It was a great help building my business.
In October, 2022, I used Jescar ULTRA Lock for the first time. Two coats of Jescar Ultra with one coat Colinite 845. I’m glad you posted this video as it confirmed my observations-Jescar ULTRA doesn’t have the best shine (it’s still GREAT) or bead water as well as other products.
However, protection is where Jescar stands out. Just before Christmas, Chicago had about two inches of snow. It’s an election year in 2023, so the city put tons of salt and sodium chloride on the roads. My car ended up coated with along with road grime. : I snow foamed my car and let it sit for two minutes, then rinsed. I couldn’t believe what I saw: all the salt and road grime slid off my car without using my wash mitt. I never saw anything like this before.

That being said, The shine and hydrophobic remain excellent after three months. The sequence of application was two coats UltraLock with Colinite 845 as a topper. One week later Jescar Ceramic spray wax was applied. Nothing has been used to maintain the application. Once again, Jescar hit another home run. However, this spring, I want to return to carnival paste wax for the deepest possible shine. Which carnival paste wax would you recommend. If you remember, I used Blue Coral back in the 1970s and was blown away by the results. I can’t find Blue Coral anymore. In theory, nothing prevents you from applying a regular wax or sealant on top of a coating. But in practice, we never recommend this as you would be masking the coating's superior properties. Also, the coating would end up rejecting the topper anyways, as it's not meant to be super compatible, so durability of that wax or sealant would not be very long.
For coatings, stick to ceramic or graphene maintenance sprays.

But not everyone has the budget for a blower. And blowers are only good if the vehicle has protection on the paint (wax, sealant or coating) as the hydrophobic properties help the air move the water off the paint.
On vehicle that have zero protection, hand drying with a microfiber towel is actually quicker.
