Would it work if you turn a phone off?
Your phone will need to be on as it receives the cellular text message and then sends it through to your computer via the internet

From my use it's a live send, doesn't queue messages

why did you wait for your heater to turn off I could not hear it . then you started talking I couldn't hear you clear as the music dominates the audio. if I want to hear music and not lean something I'll go to RUclips music. please turn the music off .many of us that need this info have hearing difficulties.
Does this send messages as an internet application or using your Local Sim Network’s Load?

Yeah I state at the start of the video that messages won't work on iPhone, I believe just the image functionality works for now. This is because Apple don't let third parties access iMessage contents. I don't know of an alternative... This is why people talk about the "Apple ecosystem" as they're very restrictive to their own products.
I do have a lot of icons but, I organize them vary well in category's on and I have some software that hides the icons if I'm going to be not at my pc and want that clean look for what ever reason.
I have all of my Google contacts organized into groups. I need to know how to send a text message to a group via "Your Phone Companion".
So your phone needs to be on/charged to do this even after having it linked?

That's a good question, I haven't found a way that allows you to.
There are apps though in the Google PlayStore which allow exporting of TXT messages to a text or CSV file that you can then email to yourself.
Just search for Message Backup or something similar 👍

Unfortunately you have to have your phone on and connected in order to use this app on the PC.
Correct, it requires the phone to be on. You could try Google's offering, i'm not sure if it might cache old messages, however do not believe new ones would come through if you phone is off. SMS still needs to come in from a 3G/4G connection before your phone can upload it via mobile data or Wi-Fi

@@bobcatt2294 AirDroid (may not be free) offers something similar, but again with phone on. Only something created by the phone carrier would be able to access any information that hasn't been sent to a phone that's on.
What happens if we delete the app on the android device? Does it still work on the PC?

Sure thing Andre, you got it 😜! yeah I agree, my earlier videos all had pretty distracting music as I never EQ'd out vocal frequencies and limited them at a better level to start with. This was my 9th video so still getting the hang of things 😊

Hi, yeah I said in the video that Apple don't like giving access to imessages so it won't work for that. You can setup photo sync though, and I presume the edge app provides access that way

The app needs some work. you can't delete old contacts. and sometimes it doesn't work right. Looking for a better app. MYsms was ok but was limited to white screen.
Haven't tried MYsms, I stopped using this app as my smart watch gives me message readouts 👍

Not sure why it's not working on my computer
If I had a cellphone, I wouldn't need this app.
This is a companion app, particularly useful if you run a small business and send emails out to customers, can do it from your computer.

Dude! The music you added is *much worse* than the heater that we can hardly hear.
This "My phone" is simple and ok but one thing is very disturbing: You can not send message to several recipients at the same time.. Very, very stupid.

Well you can't text without a Sim card or phone number, only option you'll have without a phone is an online service or business level solution. Its just not something that's easy to do without a phone
