So grateful that after nearly two decades after falling in love with Luigi's Mansion for the Gamecube, they finally decided to make one for the Switch.
This game is definitely one of the finest. The unholy amount of detail that was put into this game is astounding. As Jacksepticeye had said, the physics in this game is easily on par with Breath of the Wild!

@Christopher Simon Nintendo Switch is not a powerful console. At best, it is a decent tablet. A game that surpasses the console's limitations is something to be amazed at. BotW had nothing on high end games on PS4. The PS4 had a great advantage on game design and details. But you have to give it to Nintendo. They created a whole new engine from scratch and gave the game life better than other games in PS4, like Horizon Zero Dawn.
Keep hearing, reading, and seeing such good things about this game. Added to the definite pile. Thank you
The graphical details of this game is unbelievable. It surprised me it didn't get nominated for Visual category for GOTY

All of the cutscenes are rendered real time as well, so Luigi character model is actually doing what you see

@Christopher Simon can you bring your games around like Nintendo can? Portability with quality. That's what they're trying to do. Can your phone handle that kind of software? Can you bring your PS4 and Xbox outside an play it hand-held? Our standards are not low, yours is just unrealistically high. Try to learn about the console first.
I pre-ordered this and still haven't unwrapped it, I've got so much else to play. Loved the previous two, though, so looking forward to it (eventually). Great review.

What a amazing game, my wife is completely hooked. Besides it is very fun, funny, rewarding and gorgeous, she experienced zero motion sickness, what on the other hand we can’t say the same about Mario Odissey.

This is a good series but my favourite game starring Luigi is still "Mario is Missing" for the SNES.
Completed this last week! Same sentiments regarding the money spend, had stacks of dosh with nothing to buy.. I feel an item upgrade system was a huge missed opportunity. I also found some of the enemies cheap rather than challenging, a sometimes something I *just* did to deal damage or interact with a switch will no longer work, With no visual prompts as to why. Aside from the few annoyance’s it was truly a visual masterpiece and an enjoyable game!
devilishmode yea I don’t understand why they didn’t implement anything of the sort to spend more cash on. Strange on Nintendo’s part.

Cheers for this Glen. Not my type of game but it's clearly got charm and has a nice style to it like the previous games. Co-op looks really fun.

There is very little variety in the boss battles. The bosses themselves are unique in design, but they follow similar patterns and require very similar strategies to defeat.
Peter Clark I would agree, some are more unique than others. Luigi only has so many moves sadly.
yeah what an amazing game, really really amazing what they have done with this, I need to play more but getting side tracked constantly at the moment

I love this game. I saved up my Gold Coins to afford it and play with my kids at Hallowe'en. Enamoured is the right word. As far as the shop goes, a few cosmetics wouldn't go amiss, like a Ghostbusters costume, etc.

I'm always amazed at how well Nintendo in-house games perform on their handhelds, especially in detail and framerate. I'm mainly a PC gamer and unfortunately I get tired of staring at a 7" screen after some time. But I don't deny gaming on the go is truly fantastic and some games just need to be played in portable mode.

Fantastic game. Launched on Halloween :) I love Luigi's expressiveness and the overall quality of the presentation. Nintendo hits another home run.

The money in this game puzzles me. I already collected over 10k without even knowing what it is for (buying stuff, duh, but what?). It got so annoying I watched a few reviews to find out when and where you can spend your money and if it is worthwhile to collect loads. From what I have seen by now it is only really needed if you die a lot or to get a alternative ending. So I guess I can pick up the pace and leave some bills where they are.
Other than that: Great game, feels really polished.
@@100toonlink As far as I know it really only gives you that extra ending. For me it's the first Luigi's Mansion game and the way they handled money feels weird.

Could you briefly describe how one could play the main story co-op? And if Guigi isn't available right off the bat, how far into the game does it take to get there?
Sean Rooney it’s takes maybe 30-40ish minutes to unlock guigi, then you can play co-op
@@Ashwoodbane thanks man. I thought it would be quick and had my GF waiting for all of the cutscenes to end and we go exploring and ghost hunting together. Is Guigi available during bosses?
Sean Rooney once you unlock him you can play him the rest of the game. My girlfriend was doing the same thing the night I got the game 😂

Glen, Evan, thank you! I just LOVE my little scared Luigi;==))) plus I have a lot of fun playing online with my friends, even though so far it is not an easy task for all of us!
I wanted to like this game I really did. The graphics were great, it's charming and funny. However the biggest problem is you just press the A button to catch ghosts. Literally ruined the wnhole mechanic of the "combat" system.
Call Center Dad there is a little bit more than that whenever the ghosts start wearing shields and glasses. The game is simple to control, but some boss fights also were hard for me to get right away.
I bought this on release and have never been more satisfied. It’s my first LHM and I’m absolutely enamored.
I did the same and feel the same. Very satisfied!
Trenchfood It almost makes me want to go back and play the others but I really rather not buy a WiiU or another GameCube for like one or two games. I did however love my GameCube. Eternal Darkness was one of my favorite games of all time.

@@Th33anomaly I feel that but LM3, by all accounts is the archetype experience. I always felt it'd be for me. That old school, campy haunted house vibe, I truly dig. I never played Eternal Darkness but I've watched Vinesauce Vinny do a playthrough and it gets brought up a lot. It is beautifully compelling. Give us a Switch port, ye feckers!

Looks so good I did find the controls took a bit of getting used to at egx, kinda feel bad for Toadette and Daisy getting left behind but don’t worry, Peach rememberers her trusty slaves!

Not just first party games either, so many goodie to grab, be sure to look out for deal on titles especially with black Friday week, for example I believe Gamestop will have Ai The Sonium Files for 29.99 when on sale, usually goes for 59.99 if not mistaken, might try and get that one seem interesting.
