I think whats most impressive and what most people don't even realize is the fact that the game world of Bowsers Fury is about the size or even bigger than the entire Isle Delphino in Sunshine, meaning they have reached a point where they could have a Sunshine-styled Mario game and have the entire island be one world with no loading in between.
This was a day 1 buy for sure. It's amazing getting to play through again with extra content. Honestly one of the best Linear Mario games out there, only wish the stages were more themed to the world.

Good and fair review! Had this on the Wii U and had no hesitation buying again for the Switch. Currently playing through and it's just as much fun as it was back in the day. For me, this is up there with the Galaxy games and TBH I have already had more fun with this than Odyssey (though that's just, like, my opinion man). I agree that for anyone who likes Mario games and hasn't already played this, it's a no-brainer. Nintendo can keep porting old games to the Switch and I will keep picking up the ones I loved, so that I can have all those games on one portable console.
I totally agree. I hate when people get aggravated about Nintendo porting old games to the switch. I had all of the games on the Wii U but I have no problem picking them up on the switch as well. Nintendo makes some of the best games & if you want to be able to take them on the go they are definitely worth picking up again.
I'd rate this game way above Odyssey, even without Bowser's Fury. It's levels are far more inventive and fun instead of just constantly collecting moons.

Me and my boy have been having so much fun playing this over the last week. I never got to play it on the WiiU and would say it’s the number 2 Mario game on the Switch. After the annoying Paper Mario this game is a blessing.

Just started this game and I'm on world 6. Im loving it so far but then it's mario so I was expecting good from it. Galaxy 1 and 2 are my favorites but this and odyseey are great to. Love the visuals, music, level design, challenges, controls, variety, everything about it really XD

The anniversary was kinda disappointing to me, so I had no faith in a rerelease of one of my fav Mario games... but wow what a pleasant surprise to hear. Def earns its spot in the backlog then, even 100% the OG

Bought it love it also if you have kids under 10 years old this is the game to play with them in co op. Super fun and small file size yes this is a no brainer. Love the channel.

Great review! Double dipped on this one because I loved the original. Have played a fair bit of online with no issues, tho considering other switch online experiences I can imagine not everyone will have that same consistency
My online experience on switch is hit and miss. This game lagged for me (as the footage in this review showed) but others say it was fine for them). People often say smash is really laggy online but for me at least 90% of my matches are lag free so it does seem to vary
BOWSER'S FURY does look good, I believe I will be passing on this one or the time being. Although I do love Mario, I am just not a fan of the CAT SUIT and there are quite a bit of other titles that I have been saving up my money for so those are taking priority. Thanks for the review and look forward to the next one.
Great review although there’s two extras not covered in the review. The inclusion of the arcade version of Luigi Bros from the title screen. There’s also the 3D world inspired levels in Captain Toad Treasure Tracker that were omitted in favour of Odyssey inspired ones on the Switch version.
Very on the fence about this one since I own the original, although it’s been years since I’ve played it. Bower’s Fury looks great but maybe not $60 great.
Good review but I do have some problems with it as someone who already has the game on the WIIU. The reviewer states that the value is 17 and ADD points if you haven't played it already. But he also states that Bowser's Fury adds 6 hours to 100% completion!! So... the value is 17 for 6 hours of gameplay? I find that hard to believe. Again, that's 100% completion. For a game I already have and beaten, $60 is WAY too much. Value should be like 9 or 10 and add 7 or 8 if you haven't played before. Seems like one of those "I will give any Mario game a 90 or above no matter what" kind of reviews. FWIW I'd say the original was an 80 or so.
The beauty of the system is you can tweak more subjective scores to match your own experience which will, as you’ve done, give you a score that would reflect how you’ll feel. Personally (me Mark) have never played this and I’m really enjoying it - The vale shown here totally reflects my experience. Mark

Been playing the original on WiiU and my ringtone is the Super Bell Hill main theme... I'm pretty excited about Bowser's Fury but I'm not sure I can justify rebuying 3D world (without a significant discount) for what is essentially DLC, even if it is amazing. Maybe I can get one of my friends to buy it lol Great video per usual! Details without damaging spoilers. Keep up the great work! Edit: after reading other comments about spoilers - At least for me, I could figure out 90% of what was said and shown in this video on my own because it's a Mario game. Adventure + collecting + fighting Bowser. Nintendo has pretty much shown all of this in their trailers already too. I didn't feel like it was overly revealing.

I found the camera for Bowser's Fury very limited as it doesn't allow you to zoom out far enough. The camera is too close for some of the platforming where you find that you fall or die simply because you can't see where you are going.
No they don't, i have using third part controllers to play 3 players with two additional family members to USB connected and one wireless works flawlessly.
I played it on Wii U so I think I will wait for a sale(despite being rare, first party Nintendo games do actually go on sale). If you haven't played it before it's a great game. I also hear once you get used to the new speed it's hard to go back to the Wii U version.
I’m going to pass on this. I can’t fathom spending full price for a game I already paid for (even tho it was on a different console) just for a bit of new content. Sorry Mario. Maybe down the road if I can borrow from a friend
I'm going to have to disagree with you on the Value portion. A port of an 8 year old game with 6 hours of content isn't worth full game price, no matter how you squeeze it. I'll probably pick it up secondhand in a few months once the hype dies down.
As with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nintendo is taking the piss... I just can't bring myself to pay full price for this again having bought them on the Wii-U. There should be a discount for people who supported their last system but instead they just want to pull our eyes out again.

The cat suit is only one of four (I think) power-up outfits that you get. If you like Mario, this really is an excellent entry into the series.

I used a pro controller for the game, you can use any controller you want on it for co op :)
