@@TriBailey I never speedran the game, only few specific things.
Vectoring is also a thing in Mario Odyssey. A lot of the recent 3D Mario games contain vectoring to travel faster recently.
@xylexSR yeah. (I like it that way, vectoring is a great source of transportation)
In odyssey the trick jumps involving vectoring are just insane
@@sobblegaming350 yeah I used to be a well known and very good trickjumper but quit when I repopularised relax tech with Marci and YouClod.
@@nixisawesome mario galaxy 1 and 2 are really good but their controls and physics arent as good as modern mario
Vectoring is also a thing in SM3DL and SM3DW.
I'm surprised at how fast it was to complete 100% on a normal playthrough, so this honestly doesn't surprise me lol

This game is some of the most fun i’ve ever had, it’s a shame it’s so short. But that gives the next 3d Mario an insane amount of potential.
Eh it was kinda boring the reason other 3D open world games are fun is one they are longer and have faster movement

Bowser’s Fury feels tailor-made for speedrunners. Its 2-3 hours long if you play it normally and has 100 shines. Plus its open world and gives you tons of freedom. Its like a mini BOTW.

It's really cool that this Speedrun tutorial is released just day after I beat the game, and since I already have the bowser amiibo, this seems like a great game to consider speedrunning!
If you're considering running, there's 2 tips I have for running this.
1. If possible, tape your amiibo on the pro controller
2. Go to switch settings and swap d pad left with L button so you can trigger the amiibo and move more comfortably while doing so.

As somebody who used to speedrun Bowser's Fury for over a year, this is great to see
I knew Bowser's Fury was a short game, but didn't realise just how fast you can beat it! It's such a blast to play, one of my favourite games of 2021 (and I personally prefer it to Odyssey!)

I hope they make a full open world Mario game (basically this but with the discovery elements of Odyssey)

Glad to see a video on this! I was the first person to run any% Bowser amiibo with the 40 shine idea because I remember my mind being blown when I found out this game is beatable with 40 shines. I got the first sub 28, 27, 26, 25, and 24. It was fun being a pioneer for this run. My route was much less good but I worked on it myself. I'm glad people optimized this run! It is a fun run! Thanks for this video!

I remember the restriction on the best time relied entirely on Bowser cycles so it's really cool to see there are now Amiibo categories (I'm pretty sure Amiibo used to be banned)

I tried speed running Bowsers Fury with my friend online. We would stream each other’s screens and use the same timer. The timer would stop once one of us reached 50 shines. The first person to reach 50 shines wins. This took well over an hour because we had never done it before.
This explains why this game is very short, so they decided to make it shorter

I remember speed running the game and getting a time of 71 minutes. I thought it was good until I saw the wr of 27 minutes

Don’t they also combine crouch boosts with vectoring when moving with Mario because I see Mario crouching for a short moment with the movement at the start

This is a really good video! But you should've pointed out, that the speedrunners don't only vector, but also crouchboost. This is a technique to get max vectoring speed or even or that way quicker. If done correctly you duplicate your speed x2 with only 1 crouchboost

I love how the biggest enemy of this specific game's speedrunning community is not Bowser himself but the 'Bowser Timer', necessitating everything from Amiibos to breaking the game

@@insertname8721 no they weren’t, I actually wanted to do a no BJ speedrun but there was no category so ye. Also there just needs to be, like you’re really making me use pointer controls in my speedruns? No way.
Future Category Extention?
I do not speedrun Bowsers fury but instead of 3dw, there's a lot of things are similar to both of them since they are from the same game as cats, such as the ice boost and the jump boost. I still have lot to learn but managed to get the wr of pp bridge of 2p, not the best but speedrunning 3dw is a lot of fun. maybe not getting the wr but still got 2nd on any%(wait no lm beat it aa),243 and 380 stars. I havent post my single player run yet, I still need to practice more. I always use toad as my character, even tho I know that luigi is way more faster for speedrunning since the jump boost is too op. playing 3dw and Bowsers fury is definitely worth it, I wouldn't speedrun Bowsers fury but maybe trying it since I still have more work on 3dw and my homework(yes I know this is for everyone), this video does helped me a lot of speedrunning 3dw even it's not the same game, so thanks a lot for making this video, it really surprised me that you can do 100% in about 18 mins, 3dw is about 8hrs on 100%, any% is about an hour lol, anyway thanks for the video and I will keep improve my skills and hope to be as good and fast as others do.

I haven’t played this, but I SWEAR, I saw this game in a dream before Nintendo ever revealed it. I saw Lake Lapcat and I KNEW it was a Mario game. And then Nintendo legit makes it in real life.

Totally unrelated, but I beat Super Mario Odyssey with the minimum Cappy uses and it’s not just captures.The minimum without 2 Player or Insane tricks is 99.
Cappy uses:Captures and any cappy Interaction with an object/enemy.
