Thanx again, just found out there is an other way. There some are a few airports that give u a chance to do the interview when u enter the US without an appointment as a foreigner. There is a name to the process, can’t recall but google it. Thanks so much from Germany!!
I just applied. I’m not sure if the application was updated recently or not but there was question about any criminal activity, outstanding warrants and DUI’s.
Hi Suzanne, here’s the eligibility list per CBP’s site: www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/eligibility Based on the above link, US legal residents are eligible to apply. Good luck! :)
eunice ong yes although check to see if you have a credit card that may refund you the $100 back (some credit card/bank companies will refund you the fee such as the chase sapphire card) double check though!
Hi, can I use the TSA Pre line and the Global Entry service when I am only conditionally approved? Im not a US citizen so I can only do the interview within the US.
Hi K- Mar, I believe you would need to go through the interview and be fully approved before you can use the service - you will get a PASSID # once approved, but not until after the interview. Good luck!
It is a pretty easy process. I have Global Entry, and the interview was pretty brief and they do take your picture (might want to dress up or try and look your best as you only get to take it once for your card). I used the old GOES system before the new log in system and you have to activate your card once you get it. Appointments can be tricky, but I got mine at Otay Mesa, which can cause a line.
No, once you pay that $100 for Global Entry, that is it. And since your membership lasts 5 years before you need to renew it, that works out to $20 a year. It's pretty cheap!
it did say if you wanted to add a vehicle to go from mexico to us later, that would cost additional. so have your VIN and plate number handy if you think you might do that over the next 5 years.
I think the extra is because that's a different program than Global Entry: Viajero Confiable. In order to get that you have to get the Global Entry first. www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/international-arrangements/mexico/us-citizens
It is a pretty easy process and I think it is a better deal than SENTRI (no idea why they still have it). Some people who live closer to the Canadian border find NEXUS to be a better deal. You can have Global Entry and NEXUS if you want the ultimate in travel as you do not get the full NEXUS benefits with Global Entry (only entry into US).
Hi MJ. The questions that were asked of me were the same questions that I answered during the application online. It was more like verifying that the answers matched. :)
Elaine PC but when they ask you “why do you want this pass” what did you answer? I’ve heard they can be pretty picky on what answer you give them. I got conditionally approved within days and I have my interview coming up so I just want to be as prepared as possible.
Apologize for the delayed reply to this. They actually did not ask me why I wanted the global entry. If they did, I would have said for the convenience of it which is really why I applied in the first place - to save time. Not sure if you had your interview yet. If so, how was it? :)
I cant get passed the documents. I've called and asked for help but they are no help.

Do I need to attach any I D on the application?
Hi Elaine, just applied for my Global Entry. Does my wife need to apply separately for hers? We are a family of 4... Thanks.
She does. If you have little ones, they need their own card as well.
great information. !!! One of question I have can people with Green card Holder apply for Global Entry?

Thank you for letting us know! :)
I just did it i'm wait for conditional approval how long will that take?
It was 4 days for mine. You will get an email regarding a status change.
@@elainebear85 Did you get an email or you really have to check on the cbp website daily?
During the interview do i have to take the kids with me? Do $100 fees for whole family? Or have to pay $100/ea? Thank you
It's $100 per applicant.. yes, you bring the kids if they are also applying for global entry.
how do you activate your global entry card??
Hi Rafael, you do that online - it's actually super simple. Follow the instructions on the paper that came with the card. :)
How long did the process take from the day you submitted the application ?
Hi Amol, about 6 weeks for me. It could be faster.. it really just depends on how soon you can get an interview at your preferred interview location.

Hi Lisette, it was a total of 6 weeks for me.. from application to interview..

eunice ong - I think so... :)
No link
hi, do i get the card on the interview day?
It’s mailed to you shortly after the interview.
So once I pay for the application fee, do I have to pay any other fees?
Hi Ferdinand, I did not have to pay any additional fees.

How was the interview? What they asked?

Good
Does everyone go in for an interview?
Patricia Thomsen, I believe so.. it’s where they would take your picture and take your fingerprints. Good luck! :)
When do you have to pay the $100 fee?
Victor Santiesteban - you pay the $100 fee online when you submit the application. :)
Elaine PC do you know how long it takes to get a response after submitting application?
It took 5 days for mine :)
Elaine PC sounds good. Is it ok to apply if you have traffic tickets ?
How long did it take you to get approved
Kevin Blair - it was a total of 6 weeks for me from application to interview. :)
