GLOBAL ENTRY UPDATE: According to a CBP release, effective October 1, 2024 fees will increase to $120. Once the rule goes into effect, applicants under the age of 18 will be exempt from the application fee when a parent or legal guardian is already a member of, or concurrently applying for NEXUS, SENTRI, or Global Entry. @@styledbygeneva ***Update*** I scheduled my interview upon receiving my C.A.. The only office in Wisconsin was booked through May 29th with no appointments available. Therefore, I scheduled my interview at the next closest G.E. office which was O'Hare Int' Airport for May 15th. I followed YOUR advice and checked updated interview availability Monday, April 15th. I was able to get an appointment for today, Tuesday, April 16th in downtown Chicago. My interview went super quick. I was back in my downtown Milwaukee office within 2 hours. An hour and half after returning, I received my G.E. approval email from TTP.
      Applied: 4/11
      C.A.: 4/12
      Interview: 4/16
      G.E. Approval: 4/16
Thanks again for your awesome tutorial!

Thats wonderful that yours went so smooth, but this makes no sense, I applied and paid my $100 in January of this year , I have a clean background, and my application has said PENDING for 8.5 months . Why are some people getting conditional approvals within days, and others wait for almost a year? Now i can't even get through TSA precheck with my group next month as we travel abroad because i went this route (global entry) thinking I gave it plenty of time. Stupid me, LOL, what was i thinking, it is after all the US GOVT! Can i go back now and try and get a TSA precheck at least??? I truly do NOT recommend this especially if your trying to get it for a trip within the upcoming year. The fact that they took my $100 and no response imo is not ok.

They ask you your address, ever been arrested, etc. Pretty much what you put on your application. The following week, I went with my wife for hers. There was a woman ahead of us. She stated that she had a DWI (OUI) from about 10 yrs ago. She said she didn't think it mattered b/c it was so long ago. Not so. They told her to get all the court documents and submit them.

Non-US citizens can also participate in the GE program. I used it in 2024 from Germany. It took about 3 months from application to interview. You can do your interview at almost any airport upon international arrival, without an appointment. Unfortunately, when I received the email to make an appointment, I was already on vacation in the USA. Luckily, I was in New York and was able to make an appointment at JFK on the same day and do my interview. The interview lasted 5 minutes.

Thanks for your clear information about the facts. A question, please, when one is approved and receive their number and of course can enter it on the travel information but is only traveling in a few weeks, but doesn’t receive the card yet then is it possible to still use it with just the number or can only use the number when the card is received ? I guess it’s a physical card in the mail

I would suggest reaching out to CBP for 100% accuracy, when I received my card I had to activate it through the website so although you have the number I think you need the card for activation. I waited until I had my card before I used it to travel so I don’t have first hand knowledge about using it before you have the physical card to activate. Sorry I couldn’t help more.

My experience in acquiring Global Entry Membership
    July 4, 2024 - applied on line at 11:30 a.m.
July 6th, 2024 - received an email that says conditionally approved, scheduled an appointment
August 12th, 2024 - had an interview at 12:30 pm @ Chicago O'Hare Int'l Airport and was told that I passed the Membership interview and will receive an official email, and will receive the membership card in two weeks.
    August 12th, 2024 - @ 4:00 p.m. I received a confirmation email that says MEMBERSHIP NUMBER/PASSID.
during the interview the person who interviewed me only asked for my passport and Driver's License. He only asked for my full name, Address, Date of Birth, finger printing (10 fingers) and photo ID taken. Maybe it lasted for 5 minutes or so, but less than 10 minutes.
