The idea that Wanda could just go to a Universe where she died but her kids and Vision are still alive is just so obvious it kind of hurts.

my personall guess is that she was too corrupted by the darkhold and grief to really think straight and as a result she didnt really think of that and was just hyperocused on wanting her kids back

also keep in mind wanda didnt just want america chave’s powes just to get her kids,she wanted them so she can travel the multiverse so she can always keep them safe for in case an example being a instance where billy and tommy get an incureable illness,so not as much would have changed than you think
Probably because she only have dreams of the universe where she is alive. And since she’s got taken control of the darkhold, it corrupted her mind to not dream about that universe. So she’s hyper-focus on the dream universe rather thinking of other possibilities
It's honestly kind of hilarious how the movie sorta implies that Doctor Strange is maidenless in every timeline.
He's not. He's not with Christine in any universe. Because he's meant to be with Clea.

Wanda was seeing those universes thanks to the corrupting power of the Darkhold. Pretty simple explanation why she didn't witness any universes where her children were dead but she was alive, the Darkhold didn't want her to see a fairy tale solution the Darkhold wanted to lead Wanda on a path of as much chaotic destruction as possible.
There also just might not be any of those universes out there. Count even numbers to infinity 2,4,6 and tell me when you count and odd number. Maybe she didn't see a fairy tale solution because even in the infinite universes there was no fairy tale solution. There was no odd number no matter how far she counted that even number chain to infinity.

They also didn’t play into it at all in the movie. They could have kept her as a villan/hero by using the controlling powers of the darkhold. But they didn’t. It was mentioned in maybe two lines in the movie and it didn’t affect Dr.Strange (if you ignore the theory that sinister strange replaced Dr strange in the post credits) at all especially in comparison to how it affected Wanda (despite her trauma from family and vision dying)
I still think that ''Because Darkhold'' shouldn't be the reason why this movie played out as it did.
Uh, did everybody including Matt Pat forget that Wanda's children's existence relies on the spell that she was maintaining? Not that I'm saying she couldn't find a way to keep them around even if she died in the infinity of the multiverse, but everybody's talking like they haven't even watched Wandavision...
I think the movie hosting Wanda as the villain just dulled the film altogether. Though i couldn't get hype abt most of her screentime, the film makers REALLY hit a home run with America Chavez showing Wanda how her kids are terrified of who she's become. That was the most human emotionally realistic scene i've seen in the movie.

I think everyone keeps missing that Wanda straight removed Captain Marvel's powers right before she crushed her. You can see her glow disappearing, her face looking in horror as she is slammed to the ground then the pillar crushing her

@@rlee1185 wandas powers aren’t rooted in the darkhold, they were awoken when she was being experimented on in captivity. I think she was able to steal Agatha’s power as they’re both based in witchcraft
Honestly with the whole Wanda suicide by falling rocks thing, I found it quite enjoyable to see her method of suicide be 'pick up and drop massive object', felt like a subtle nod to Ultron's plan to, well, 'pick up and drop massive object'

5:41 well if you noticed in the movie, right before the statue falls on her, her helmet deactivates, and her suit is tied to and powered by her powers. which means the reason she was able to die to a simple statue falling on her was because wanda had absorbed her powers right before hand, during the explosion.
I have seen absolutely no one talk about how this movie explicitly states that EVERY dream that everyone has is a vision of an alternate universe. I don’t specifically remember any dream sequences in the MCU, but I would LOVE to see a video on the implications of this crazy claim!
The only notable reference to a dream was Tony in Infinity War, talking about the fact that he dreamt him and Pepper had a baby boy called Morgan. Obviously it was there to foreshadow a storyline in Endgame, but that kind of confirms there’s an Iron Man in the multiverse in a relationship with Pepper, with a son

I just saw doctor strange MoM last night and the whole time I was thinking:
All they need is to get Clint Barton to show up and give Wanda a pep talk and that would have solved everything.
Theres octopus monsters and witchraft possesion, and i STILL have a bow and arrow. non of this makes sense.

3:03 Multiverse of Madness is also a reference to one of wanda's most apocalyptic storylines; in the comics, wanda at one point has a _complete mental breakdown_ after the events of Wandavision, and as her mind frays, _so does the rest of reality,_ shattering apart like the hexes of glass in the Wandavision outro; even using that "Shattering hexes" design, which the outro of wandavision is a nod to, so as wanda goes mad, the multiverse is destroyed, multiverse of madness, in wanda's red? it made too much sense to me, even before the Wandavision T.V. show

Your theory at the 11:03 mark was proven true in the second episode of the show of Ms. Marvel. Listen for a line of dialogue Bruno tells her mid-episode.
Wanda wasn’t satisfied with just one universe with her kids because she wanted there to be literally no possibility of losing them. She said if they caught an illness that universe couldn’t cure, there’s another universe out there that has it. Hence why she wanted America’s power, a guarantee that she could never lose her loved ones again because for any problem, at least one universe has a solution
And if they died she would go to another universe so she can just get a different version of them so she won’t ever be alone again
I’ve never quite understood that though. With her reality warping powers, couldn’t she just remove the disease or make it like they couldn’t even have that disease in the first place. Or am i wrong?

@@boi-4216 it seems that way in the comics, but so far in the MCU, it appears that she still needs a base of sorts. take westview for example. everyone in that town had their own bodies and identities before getting dragged into her pocket reality. (clothes were also recycled). the only truly made up persons were vision and her sons, which she didn’t do consciously. so, my interpretation is that those cures should already exist (in her present reality) for her to be able to manipulate them for her use.
Wanda absorbed Captain Marvel's powers and removed her suit, so she was just a regular person when the stone statue thing fell on her and killed her. So nothing to doubt.

It's no _great_ skill really, but I _usually_ tend to have a pretty good ear when it comes to celebrity voices. However, it _is_ certainly possible that I'm just not as good as I used to be or I'm just losing my touch, but I simply could _not_ help but imagine how much that Movie Bob guy sounds to Jon Favreau! At around 2:55, try closing your eyes and listen to Bob's voice as he talks about his revelation regarding Wanda actually becoming the villain, and tell me that he doesn't sound just like Favreau! 😌
For those that are watching this AFTER Ms Marvel started, her powers in the new tv series is based on Noor (otherwise known as light energy) that comes from the dimension of Noor and also exists inside of the creatures from it, including their descendants if they have any outside the dimension.
That is the case with this iteration of Kamala Khan whose great-grandmother is a being known as a Clandestine/Djinn from the Noor dimension. Clandestines native to Noor can NOT use their full range of abilities outside of Noor without 2 bracelets (at least that's the current assumption based on what happened so far) to trigger their powers while hybrids, beings descended from a Noor ancestor, can access most, if not all, of the powers of Clandestines with one bracelet.
About the whole "captain marvel dying under a rock" thing, upon rewatching the movie, I think they meant for Scarlet Witch to have stripped away Maria's powers (there's a big yellowy explosion and Captain Marvel no longer shines, stops flying to fall to the ground before getting crushed). So that's that.
I'd guess she used her mild reality shifting powers to remove Monica's powers just before dropping the statue on her

Clarifying that when Maria's Captain Marvel dies, it's because Wanda quite literally sucks the powers of the Tesseract out of her. Wanda's power being activated by the mind stone likely enabled her to take away the powers granted by the space stone.

The fact that WandaVision left us with a reconstructed Vision who remembers who he was, just wandering around out there somewhere, makes things a bit awkward if this truly is the end of Wanda's arc. But she *is* Wanda and I sure didn't see any body.
Actually Elizabeth Olsen still has a contract with Marvel Studio, so yeah.. sometimes I wish I was just an average moviegoer. Me knowing this information about Elizabeth Olsen's contract pretty much just eliminated all tension of her character truly dying in the movie, because I know she's has a contract left to return for about two more movies. Wanda is still seemingly alive, but the worst case scenario is we are at least going to see some variant of Wanda again in the future

A big misconception about infinity:
Multiverses and infinite universes doesn't mean there is a universe where some event HAS to have happened aka there MUST be a universe where steven does get the girl right? or there must be a universe where Wanda could slot in perfectly without power stealing, where all diseases have been cured, and no risk of harm could ever come to her family right?
Nope. That's not what infinity means.
I want you to count even numbers. 2,4,6,8. Keep counting to infinity. Tell me when you count an odd number. Tell me when you count a letter. Is the string of numbers you are counting any less infinite because they don't include these possibilities? No, you're still counting an infinite string. But within that infinity you will NEVER count an odd number.
Just because things are infinite doesn't mean they include everything.
TLDR:
There are an infinite number between 1&2 none of them are 3
8:48 I actually liked Inhumans. Thought it was a good story. It just didn't get a lot of peeps behind it. Side note: In Wanda Vision we are told specifically that Wanda "... Power will exceed the Sorcerer Supreme." We all assumed that would be Dr. Strange. But in this film the Sorcerer Supreme is Wong!!! Whom Wanda clearly outmatches.

Darkhold is written by Chthon, who views Wanda as nothing more than a puppet, an extension of his supremacy.
Actually Wanda did establish she is just so unlucky, that their is no universe where kids just exist without her, she was the only one who had to witness the misery.
But that's literally not how that works. In an infinite universe, even if there is just one universe, every single possibility exists

While there is something to the notion that she could find a universe where she died and her kids survived and slot herself into the missing part of their lives, the universes she can connect to are ones where a version of her exists. She's connecting to their waking lives via her dreams (and presumably the reverse is occurring as well, them seeing parts of her life in dreams). No living Wanda, no dream connection, no beacon to home in on. So those universes may exist, but she'd have no way to navigate to them. I suppose she could find a way to tap into someone else's dreams who would have reason to interact with her children and navigate to that universe by following that person's dreams, but Vision seems the most likely person . . . Do Androids Dream of Improbable Children?
In the comics, Wanda is a Nexus Being, meaning a version of her exists in every universe. So she wouldn't be able to find one where she died before another nexus being was in place to replace her, because the structure of the universe would not allow that to occur. She's a fixed fact. Every universe has a Nexus Being, each acts as a node anchoring and focusing that universe's mystical energy, and two Nexus Beings can't exist in the same universe. So it's only Wanda who can't go to another universe except by projecting, because there can't be two Nexus Beings in the same universe at the same time. That rule obviously doesn't apply to Peter Parkers 1, 2, and 3, for instance.

The blue part of his cloak is the part of other Dr Strange cloak symbolising how he has some of his personality in his shown when he also uses the darkhold as he sees it as the only option same as other Dr Strange
I actually don’t think Wanda’s dead. With such a popularity character they would’ve lingered on her death more instead of cutting away so quickly
No one is dead until you see the body, and even then you can't be sure
completely agree. Yeah, she collapsed the temple, but she's totally powerful enough to stay alive inside that collapse and then go live her life somewhere else.
Olsen's contract has ended, but she's extended it before, so we could very well still see her return. I think a large part of that decision will be how successful other characters are and whether they feel they need a character with her appeal to keep people interested.
honestly i hope they don’t bring her back aside from past flashback type stuff. I really dislike when characters get brought back from death just cause they’re popular. Wanda’s death was great, and I really enjoyed that being the end of her arch.

Actually, they showed this in the movie. She just took pieces of 838 Steven’s cloak of Levitation, which was blue, and stitched then into 616 Strange’s cloak. We actually see it in the scene where 838 Steven is vaporized, being held in the arms of Mr. Fantastic.

Just to point something out, Unstable Molecules are not inherently blue. It's suggested at some points across the tens of thousands of marvel comics that most super suits are made of Unstable Molecules.

With the alternate Captain Marvel, Wanda drained her power from her, you can actually see the explosion turn yellow instead of red to show it.

I feel like people forget that part of the reason Wanda didn’t do the obvious go to a universe where she had died was because of the Darkhold. Like Strange says just do that in the movie or have America take you to such a universe and she states that she wants the powers so that she can make sure nothing bad happens to her kids. She is so concerned about losing her kids she isn’t willing to take the chance that they die again

While Strange doesn't have much of an arc it does feel like he has an arc which is focused on him realizing that he doesn't always have to and can't always be the "one holding the scalpel" all the time. As evidenced at the end with him not taking America's powers but rather trusting her to use them on her own

You didn't address Strange's actual character arc/development: Letting go of control; thinking he's the only one that can save/solve the issue. It should be a major point in the theory.
I honestly enjoyed his arc tho I wish they addressed why he has that need for control, the ancient one, she told him the sorcerer Supreme is the protector of earth and he is supposed to be the best of them so I would've liked to see them address that more

One of the many things that made Into the Spider-verse great for me was that it was distinctly NOT a part of any cinematic universe. It was animated. Uniquely animated in a style we've never seen before. It brought out a bunch of interesting Spider-people, some serving more to the story than others but always serving the story at present. Yes, it played with the multiverses but it kept it closed to Spider-people (and Kingpin's family who only serve their function in the existing plot). Anyone can pick this up and appreciate all the characters WITHOUT having to build up the Cinematic Universe baggage.
I've been excited, yet skeptical, about the sequels to this film because a small part of me wants this to be a self-contained Miles Morales story. So if Marvel dares to integrate this world into the MCU, I will set fire to the remaining hairs on Kevin Feige's head.
I actually had the same thought watching the movie: Why didnt Strange just keep teleporting away with America whenever Wanda got close?
Edit: I understand plot is the reason, but it was literally a question that just came into my mind when the situation happened. I liked the way the movie played out. Please chill.

I don't think Wanda is actually dead. If you look as the rocks fall on her, there is a red flash. Knowing how powerful she is, she probably teleported away.

Wanda definitely did not die in the movie. You can actually see for a few frames where she put up a red energy shield to deflect the falling rocks

Re: Wanda finding a universe where she is dead but her kids are alive, I feel like this was addressed in the film. I believe she said she wanted to protect ALL of her kids in ALL the universes, hence her plan. And EVEN IF she just wanted to execute on the “dead Wanda” plan we are proposing, she’d still need America’s power. Add in the corruption of the dark Hold, I’m inclined to be satisfied with the movie’s approach.

One last thing to think about: she conjured her kids in the 616 reality. But they seem to be real in the other dimensions. Also, she willingly let them go at the end of Wandavision. So why the about face in the movie? Again, maybe you could point to the Dark Hold and it’s corruption.

I actually looked up on the woman from the end credits scene because even my dad the big Marvel fan didn’t know who she was so we were surprised to find out that she’s Strange’s eventual wife but hey nice casting choice for her.
Also the fact that Hawkeye has him passing the mental of his hero name to Kate Bishop who was part of the og Young Avengers pretty much confirms that group is coming. They wouldn’t do that and bring her in if they weren’t.

I have to disagree with the point that Strange doesn't really have a character arc. He does learn that human lives have value and that he needs to let go of Chrstine. Instead of taking America's power like he normally would have in previous appearances, he saved her and let her keep the power and helped her learn to control it. He also gives Wong respect as Sorcerer Supreme and learns his place in the hierarchy.

They used the book of Vishanti (spelling?) which iirc is just the auto-win book. To put them on the same level as the Avengers ignores the fact that they didn't beat Thanos through their strength, but because they had cheatcodes.

If you pay close attention to the scene where the one strange is killed ontitan you can see that his cloak was blue. I think a part of the blue cloak was used to repair out arranges cloak.
The granite only killed Captain Marvel due to The Scarlet Witch basically ripping the power out of her first, hence the dismantling of her mask.

The Captain Marvel suit is the same as the other Kree Suits we saw on her solo film,their headgear functions the same,it doesn’t have to do with her powers.When Wanda blasted Captain Marvel away she still had her powers and there was no sign of her losing them once she hit the ground.

One thing that keeps bugging me is how other-dimensional beings in these movies keep calling the MCU Dimension 616 when that's the mainline comics' universe. The designation for the MCU is 199999. I could forgive Mysterio because he was making it up, but 838 Christine should have known.

I think initially they called it 1999 because they considered the MCU as a single separate universe in the Marvel Multiverse. However, now that Marvel Cinema has a multiverse of it's own they're using this to essentially show that the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse is entirely separate from the Marvel Comics Multivere, essentially a multiverse no. 2
Also I really doubt Holland' Peter Parker would make an appearance in the Spiderverse animated movies multiverse seeing as they already had a Earth 616's Peter in the first film, for it to work they'll have to either retcon their own lore or make the Holland variant come from Earth 199999.

I'm fully expecting a Carol or Monica cameo in Ms Marvel to lead into the movie, but as someone who watched all of AoS I'd actually be more hyped for Daisy to turn up. And with Netflix characters now starting to appear, feels like it's least on the table.
