Nearly a Denver fan now. The response given by Jokic was spot on. He was sitting courtside. That's where fans sit. That makes him a fan. Simple math, speaks for itself. Also, Jokic does have a point. An owner should be trying to influence a game.

The two time MVP is the face of NBA, the reason people watch basketball. Matt Ishbia of the Suns is just an entitled, rich hooligan. He had no business holding the ball and interfering with the play, standing up to fight for the ball, and especially assaulting Jokic who acted in self-defense. If Silver doesn't fine him, the league is corrupt. And Jokic is right: the league should do a better job protecting players. Matt might have billions but he is a punk. NBA should fine the owner and use that money to enhance security for the players. The incident of Monika Seles being stabbed by Stefi Graff's fan comes to mind.

Rewatching the play. Ball goes out of bounds. No timeout. Ref clearly signals Nuggets ball. Jokic does what he’s done a million times try to put the ball back in play quickly and a FAN stops him from doing that and the fan isn’t tossed?!? Really?!?

Facts, all facts. The league needs to say something about this. Given he was the Suns owner, that should be considered a bench technical for delay of game, not a tech on Jokic. He's the 2x MVP, the league needs him, he deserves more respect than that. Also, Jokic going to grab the ball is consistent with how Jokic plays, he has plenty of highlights where he's rushing the inbound pass to get a numbers advantage (which is 100% fair because if a player goes out of bounds they're responsible for getting back on the court).

This guy Jokic is an awesome player. However, he is not getting enough from the other guys all the time. About MVP, of course he is the one but they wanted to break the monotony by awarding Embiid who has hunted it for years. It was a surprise even for Embiid. Jokic resume again next year. Assuming Nuggets win and Lakers, the Joker has no chance against the Lakers led LBJ. LBJ and the lakers will definitely win another one. I won’t be surprised if it becomes a repeat of the bubble and possibly payback time for the Heat. 2006/2011 Heat and Mavs payback. Time will tell. On the flip side, Nuggets will stand a better chance to the final if they advance against Suns and eventually go through Oracle. What are your thoughts?

Unfortunately for him, he’s gonna be loyal in my opinion. He’s said before he really admires franchise players and he’s the kind of guy to stay in Denver. But if he does leave, he will immediately make any team better. He’s not like other guys like Embiid or Giannis who have to have the ball in their hands at all times; he can play make, score, and does it on ridiculous efficiency and with low usage. He’s the ideal teammate in my opinion, alongside Curry and LeBron. Guys who are smart, skilled, humble, and willing to play the role they’re given.
