It’s really interesting to see how different the criteria for picking up food delivery than to pick up rides. Might be implementing rides soon so all these vids help a lot!! 😁
Just wanted to encourage you; your vids provide real life example on how to rideshare. Something as simple as your dash cam is something I saw and bought. Your vids help
het Blake, lets get you on our podcast next week if you're available. We like talking to newer drivers at The Rideshare Garage, keep up the good work!!
A basketball, what in the hail!? Hahaha! Another great vid man. I know its like 3000 degress in Vegas, but if you get the chance, bust out the dashcam again and show some of your interactions with the passengers. The time you were jamming and dancing was great! I originally came across your vids to learn more about Uber/Lyft, but your vids are much more enjoyable then just that. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Karl! Yeah next video or two I'll get some more interactions. I should spend a couple hours on the Strip Friday & Saturday night and try to get some crazy rides. lol 😂
@BlakeDrives that would be great. Hopefully, no intoxicated people throwing up in a bag in your backseat. Lol! Hey I meant to ask before, do you do RA, OA, or private label?
I like your Prius. I have an older fusion hybrid and like it. Might be time for a new hybrid battery though. Drunk hit my car and it was out of commission for months in hot texas. The sun seems to have baked my battery and paint white it sat damaged at the body shop for all that time 😫
Hey man I don't know if you know this but Uber and Lyft will deactivate you permanently if your cancelations get to high. Accepting a ride is the equivalent of accepting a contract. To many contract violations will get you deactivated. You can ignore all the rides that you want though, you acceptance rate will not get you deactivated.
I’d say any reliable 4 cylinder sedan that will help you save on fuel costs and increase your profits would be best. The Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic would be my choice.
For the last couple of years, I've been selling on Amazon. I don't have a 9 to 5 at the moment. It would be cool to start making money from RUclips on top of rideshare.
I just use a GoPro 10 and a Vantrue E3 dash cam to record. And I use final cut pro on an Apple MacBook to edit. My Mac is struggling to keep up, so I may need to upgrade soon.
From a rider's perspective cancelling a ride is a dick move that always pisses me off. I just wished they punished drivers for cancelling more quickly than they do. If you agree to a pick up, then you should honor your word unless you get into a accident or something.
I see now why I have trouble getting an Uber or Lyft when I come to Vegas if I'm not going far or my driver cancels before they get to the pick up point. We usually tip in cash. You maybe missing out on some potential tips under the table.
Same. When we are in Vegas, we tip a minimum of $5 in cash and our trips are usually short rides from one part of the strip to another. When we head downtown, we tip more.
@@KLondike5I'm not an Uber driver and I don't live in Vegas, but I've been there a lot and I know for a fact that people tip better in Vegas than they might tip at home
@@BlakeDrives I am glad you asked! First I want to tell you that I am entering Uber Black here in California in a few days. I have driven thousands and thousands of trips through the entire pandemic in my Toyota Highlander XL. In general, XL is HUGE compared to uber x. I cannot imagine driving regular Uber X. If you go into the Uber and Lyft apps and just see the prices between the regular Uber and Lyft and Excel, you can see that you're going to make significantly more money. Also scroll down and look at Lyft "lux" and uber black and black XL. Wow!! The reason XL is so important is 2, 3 or 4 people with luggage all NEED XL. To make maximum money, buy a 2019 Chevy Suburban or one of the other approved cars with over 90k miles ( you need a car that has been already depreciated as much as possible so you don't have to pay for a lot of depreciation by buying a newer or fewer miles car.) You will have to buy commercial insurance which I believe costs around $800 a month. It sounds outrageous to pay $800 a month and then a monthly payment on a Suburban, but believe me, it pays off big. Now I do not know the specifics of Las Vegas Market but I can only imagine.. wealthy people are going to be in your car. Now it's true that wealthy people often are not good tippers, but when you're making the Megabucks, you don't even need the tips. When you have free time go over to the airport or anywhere you see a black XL with that liscence code on their bumper. They might tell you what they make...if you go to gigrocket.com they have a $69 course made by a super pro in uber black. Finally what is another add-on benefit is that you can recruit private and permanent clients! You will bypass Uber and Lyft completely and make another exponential increase in your money without Uber and Lyft taking a cut! I already have one private client and I don't even have my Uber black cat yet!
@@BlakeDrives BREAKING NEWS FROM ROY ABOUT UBER BLACK XL IN LAS VEGAS! THEY DONT HAVE IT! THEY HAVE "PREMIER" BUT IT PAYS ONLY A LITTLE MORE. SO, IN THIS SITUATION, YOUR BEST CAR IS A 2011-14 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER HYBRID (100-150K MILES) THATS ALREADY DEPRECIATED. YOU WILL BOOST YOUR INCOME BIG TIME STILL (BUT NOT THE MAGNITUDE OF UBER BLACK.)
@@Rbl7132 I was just in Vegas and the primer prices for the big black SUVs were basically the same price as riding in a prius in other major cities, the market is clearly very saturated. I road around in luxury SUVs the entire week I was there because of how cheap it was. Since it was cheap for me, I don't think it makes sense to getting a big SUV to compete in Vegas as a driver, you're not going to make up the difference from higher car and gas prices.
It looks you are making close to $30/hr but how much equity are you loosing taking rides these kind of rides? Or aren't you worried about negative equity?

I go with shorter rides for more chances at tips and to complete quests.
We don't need shorter videos
Okay, thank you, Didi!
15-25mins videos are great especially with this! Ive been driving part time for 7yrs. I think I may start recording.... not sure yet!
I encourage you too! Imagine making a couple grand from driving and a couple from RUclips! That's my goal anyway.👍

Congrats on the channel blake. You're doing a good job. Good vibes

You're literally one of the most underrated RUclipsrs out there dude! Gonna binge watch all your videos now haha

Hey Steve, thanks for the heads up. I'll have to be aware of that going forward. 👍
If you can do three five or six dollar rides in a half hour, why wouldn't you? Especially in Vegas, I would think cash tips would flow
I think I'm going to try that next week, I've been considering testing that out. Thank you!
Las Vegas looks hotter than Hell! Great videos, nicely done and rejecting those trash offers too! Take care & Tale money!
Thank you! Yeah it’s gonna be hot as hell this weekend again, the hottest yet. 😩
Hi. What models of cars are the best to make the Uber job?
I’d say any reliable 4 cylinder sedan that will help you save on fuel costs and increase your profits would be best. The Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic would be my choice.
you should say what the mileage is now and then for those lower paying rides. I; trying to decide if it's better than food delivery. :)
That's a good idea, I'm going to start doing that! Thank you!
I like the long ones tbh
(Videos)
Do you get dinged for cancels or rides you don’t accept?
It lowers your percentage but it doesn’t effect your account or rides.
You should keep the videos the same length keep up the good work.
Thanks you for the feedback Kyle!
What type care and what year do you have?
It’s 2017 Toyota Prius two.
I am considering driving for UBER but i would like to take early morning runs from about 3 a.m. and ongoing. Any thoughts?
20 minute videos are good
Thanks for the feedback Kevin!
Have you thought about starting your own executive transport service?
That's not a bad idea, it's something to think about. 👍
Do the uber/lyft still ding you for declining rides?
As far as I know, it hasn’t affected the quality or quantity of the rides that I take. But my acceptance rate is low.
Is rideshare all u do or u have other means of source of income

What car are you driving?
2017 Toyota Prius
@@BlakeDrives nice I need to get one too it's great on gas.
can i do uber drive or lyft with ca driver’s licence ?
How many rides u got with uber and lyft total I got 18k with uber 3k lyft 2k door Trask
Dang, you're a professional compared to me! I have less than 1,000.
how much did the business license cost?
The Nevada license cost around $200 and the Clark county was about $70
Which car u got for rideshare
I'm driving a 2017 Toyota Prius. I normally average between 47-55 mpg, depending on how I drive and how much I use the air conditioning.
How’s the traffic over there?
During the week it's not that bad, maybe a little around rush hour. It also depends on which celebrity is in town.
I found the China part really disturbing; it was borderline racist lol
How about Uber eats?
Yas! I will try it for the first time next week! Lol 😂
