Thank you!! Followed your video step by step today. Saved me $500 for the local mechanic.
Advice to people on the fence about doing it themselves, set aside a good afternoon and some patience. You can do this. the hardest part is undressing the engine bay to get to the pump. There are also 2-3 screws/bolts in tight places so take your time and grab a 6 pack.

I've been smelling anti freeze by the front of my truck for 3 months but could not find the leak. My truck didn't move for 3 days and I just went to leave for work and there is a puddle under the front end. It's the water pump!!! I'm taking it apart now,Thank you so much for the video!!!! I really appreciate it!!!👍👍👊👊

Used your video to replace my brother's Water pump on his truck. Glad I had a guide like yours to follow along with. I ended up stripping the original sensor because it was a plastic piece and on pretty tight. No biggie though a new only ran $34 so that's was alright. Thanks for what ya do keep up the detailed videos.

Great step-by-step instructions. I do however recommend using the right tools, such as dedicated wrenches for nuts, hose clamp pliers instead of channel locks and retaining clip removers instead of screwdrivers for plastic clips.

how long did this take from start to finish 100%?

    • @dimascartech

It should take you anywhere from 2-3.5 hours . I don’t remember exactly how long it took me , proble around 3 or 4 hours . Because I was taking my time and I was also recording it . But if you know what you are doing and you have the right tools it should be anywhere from 2-3 hours.

I beilive i bought it at Autozone, im sure most of auto parts should have it. tool? i dont remember, just look at the video and im sure you can see what i used, nothing special just some hand tools and screw drivers. o yeah , its also nice to have a special tool for clips, to take clips off, i didnt have it at the moment, but now i do. blessings to you. theres also Part 2 and 3 , because the video was too long, so i made 3 parts videos.

Draining the radiator as we speak and figured I'd look up a couple of videos because I've seen this done and THOUGHT it was pretty straight forward and it is but if I didn't watch your video I may have screwed up that sensor and I'm sure it would have been ridiculously expensive (it's always the things that don't look pricey that end up being expensive). Thanks and good luck brother, you got a sub from me. Btw, I'm a volunteer firefighter and I have light bars and sirens on my Ram but they're operated by the cigarette lighter port and I'd like to hardwire a real light bar and siren but I'm not sure how to do all that, if you live close enough, I'd let you use my truck and give you a hand doing/filming the installation for your channel while we installed it?

Im here to tell everyone do not expect that fan clutch is going to come off that easy. Before you bother starting go rent the tool. Every truck ive owned they required a special holding tool and a helper to get it loose. I fact my ram my brother had to hold the water pump pulley and i had to stand on a 3 foot adjustable wrench

    • @dimascartech
