Bought a 2020 3.3t sport about 4 months ago and I have no regrets at all. Best car I could’ve gotten in my price range. Super fast, luxurious interior, and fully loaded. Got a great deal on it to. Only complaints: small rear space and the screen isn’t the best. All in all, I love it
I'm on my second G70. My first was a 2020 3.3t Elite trim. I wanted a Sport trim, so I picked up the 2022 3.3 G70. I love both cars would not buy any other vehicle. Great video!
I love the way these G70s look. Super refreshing to see something like this on the road compared to the more common Q50s or 335i. I'm a big fan of the less common cars so this car is always nice to see around. I really love how clean yours looks as well, Very well done!
Appreciate that man! I was originally looking at Q50s, S3 and Scat packs amongst some other cars. The only BMW that I wanted was the M340i but thought it was a little boring looking and lacked features for $10-15k more. Nice RCF 👍

The M340i is a great car with crazy performance from the b58 but it just lacks that rarity factor and to the untrained eye its just another BMW unfortunately. The G70 was definitely the right choice though, really looking forward to see how the aftermarket grows for the car. And thank you!

I purchased my G70 in September of this year. I did my research and I just liked the specs on this car better compared with other cars in its class. Had a ‘17 Impala to trade in so out the door for about $31K. Not looking to modify much but love the responsiveness although the lane departure correction did have me thinking something was wrong with the car initially 😎😂 Great to hear of the longevity with these cars. Never been sold on BMW or Mercedes so this is a welcome addition to entry car luxury market. Great videos and thanks for the review!
I own an 2020 AWD Stinger and have owned many cars and love it.I am an ex muscle car driver and to be honest there is nothing better then a Twin Turbo V6 with AWD to carve up mountains quickly and safely.It is cold out now and the car on the HWY feels like it easily has 50 extra HP.I dleted the mufflers and put str8 pipes on mine welded to the car and it sounds fantastic.I also had a trade and paid 19k total for my car.Car is actually fast enough without mods.I ran a 4.2 to 60 and 12.7 in the quarter right after the break in period last year--this is no launch control just powerbrake at 1500.Even pushing the pedal down maybe 50% getting on a HWY and you are loafing into triple digit speeds.
I think Genesis can surpass Infiniti but it'll never happen if they don't work out the dealer network. Genesis cars are superb and I do miss mine periodically.
They already make better cars than Infiniti for the money by a long way, but agree the dealers are an issue. Huge hurdle genesis has to overcome in the next few years
Just purchased at 2022 G70 3.3t ....46,500k out the door .....currently being detailed one last time and should be home Thursday. Been wanting this car for a while....very hard to find a comparable car for the price
April 2019, I purchased my Genesis G70 3.3.T (Santiago Silver). I got for 2k under MSRP. Currently I have over 68K miles on it and no problems. Only scheduled maintenance and replace a set of tires. I don't Baby My Baby! If given the opportunity, I would purchase it again. I test drove BMW and Mercedes first. Neither of those vehicles did anything for me. Even though they were new vehicles, they both felt old (2019 model year). I live in Southern California, where you see as many BMW you do Toyota Corolla's. Owning a BMW in Southern California is like wetting your pants in a dark suit, you get a warm feeling all over, but nobody notices. I like what you have done to your Genesis G70. My car came with Michelin Pilot Sport tires, very grippy!
Thanks man, and I agree with everything you’ve said. I think I’ve seen one G70 in the same spec as mine in a year and a half and it was nowhere near my area. Genesis may not get the brand recognition but those in the know realize how good of a car the G70 is 🤟
You’re gonna love the continental tires, I have them on my stinger and they grip so well with the AWD. You should do a POV drive if you showing off the exhaust
Not alot of ppl in my area know what a g70 is lol its funny how many looks I get in mines I love my car only thing I hate is the gas mileage but that will get change once I get my jb4 in the summer
You probably already know this, but you can do a full ecu tune and a few other mods to the 3.3t, and it would make around 500 hp!!!! The tuning capabilities remind me of the 1JZ!
Yeah I had a lap 3 stage 2.5 ECU tune lol. B58 in the new Supra and BMWs is closer to a JZ, the 3.3TT is limited by lack of bigger turbo options and a mediocre transmission
@@simplyinsaneyt CPI. Tune was good. Ultimately I decided the platform wasn’t worth further pursuing, RWD at that power level meant grip was always an issue. Ended up getting an AWD M240i and running faster times with only 3 mods 😅
I've been looking at a 22 for sale here. I'll definitely do some tuning/mods but my only concern is swapping ECUs is that anything stored in the ECU won't match anymore like odometer and such so if you do swap to the original for service it'll show up as well. Obviously if i keep car forever it wouldn't be an issue
@@joshbell123 if you’re worried about that then just get a JB4. It’s very well established for the 3.3TT and will probably suit your needs. Ecu tunes are for people that are maxing out their builds like I was. You can still run E and get close to 500whp with a JB4.

Got my 3.3T HTRAC in Sept of this year and it only had 4k miles on it! Car is very nice but getting used to the gas mileage lol... Do you run premium in yours?
I run half a tank of 93 and the rest E85. Haven’t looked at my gas mileage recently, E85 burns quicker so I know it’s terrible. BJs gas membership for the win 🤣
They could use it as a reason to void the warranty if the issue was related to the tune, sure. Take care of your car and modify it properly and you don’t need to worry about that.
I don’t do maintenance at the dealer. Do my own full synthetic oil changes. If I were to go in for warranty work, I would remove the JB4. It is still the dealers responsibility to prove any modification caused the issue you’re going in for warranty for. A lot of dealers are understanding if you speak to them adult to adult.
@@PatC1 another common myth. The equipment to do that is expensive and most dealers are not equipped to do that. There will always be horror stories out there to deter people.
G80 is awesome but not a sports sedan like the G70 is. It’s more for comfort than anything. If you want a fast, compact sports sedan G70 is the best option.
@@TheAftermarket1 Thank you for the response. My ISF got totaled. I went check out the IS500 and I wasn't that impressed with the suspension, still loved the engine and exhaust not. I've always liked the g70 from a far so I just bought a 2019 Sport. Very impressed with the car except, I think the suspension isn't as responsive as I'd like and the exhaust/induction sound is non existent. I'd settle for some induction sound when I'm on it, are there any intakes that do this? I'm assuming the springs may allow the suspension to be more responsive, I also hear the mando box can help get the ECS just a little bit firmer than Sport mode.

I like the G70 and G80. Thinking about getting one for my other car. Since you are hating on Infiniti, I can tell you the Stinger, G70 and G80 cannot touch my Q50 RS period! The G70 is smaller too.

The refreshed G70 in my opinion looks worse than the original. I have a 2021 G70 and I absolutely love it. The grille is jewel-like befitting a luxury car (the refreshed grille is ugly). The fog lamps, the boomerang side vents, the rear end...they give the G70 a great look. The refreshed split headlamps do nothing for me, even if they tie into the Genesis design language for all other models.
I would agree with you on that for sure, much prefer my gen G70 looks. I think the new gen will come good with modifications in terms of aesthetics, but going to take a bit more to make it look as good as the 18-21s do.
Agree, we had a 23 G70, and are replacing w/ a 21 G70, only thing I prefer w/ the 23 is the larger touchscreen. I also prefer the black 5 spoke wheels on the 21 vs. the busy black spokes on the 23.
Oh, and the tail looks so much better on the 21, don't like that big black plastic slab in the license plate area on the 23 and no Genesis wing badge :( But why 2 halogens in the taillights when everything else is LED lol.
@@SuperKshepherd it was a year and a half ago so it is kinda impossible now. But the used market for my specific model people will be able to pick these cars up for even less soon. I’ve also purchased 5 cars from them in 12 years so I did get a hell of a deal 🤓
Plus the ~7k dumped into it. It's still pretty impressive, but what you're showing is a ~60k car. Even if YOU only paid 44 in stock form. Reason I say this specifically, is I just bought the 2.0t version for 37k. The absolute cheapest 3.3 they had on the lot with the fewest options was 51k. The rest were all 55k+. I know people were basically stealing these things last year when people weren't buying cars, but the demand has finally caught up with the supply. I saw on the forums last year, people were getting the 3.3 for the same price that I paid for my 2.0 this year, makes me tear up a bit.

They could use it as a reason to void the warranty if the issue was related to the tune, sure. Take care of your car and modify it properly and you don’t need to worry about that.

Do the lowering springs work with the ECS suspension?
Yup, I had the adaptive suspension and it works no problem. If you do coilovers you need an ECS canceller which adds another $250 to the cost.

Alfa is unreliable. So go with G70. I got 2023 G70 3.3L twin turbo and for me best value 😊

Not really. That’s opinion. It’s also slower and heavier. Gets gapped in every side by side test they’ve done so far.

lol...you cant use the price you copped the car for. It's a 54k car. Very few people would get the car for what you paid for it. I paid 52k 2021.
I mentioned in the video even at 50-55k it’s still a better car than it’s competitors, and it is.

Plus the ~7k dumped into it. It's still pretty impressive, but what you're showing is a ~60k car. Even if YOU only paid 44 in stock form. Reason I say this specifically, is I just bought the 2.0t version for 37k. The absolute cheapest 3.3 they had on the lot with the fewest options was 51k. The rest were all 55k+.
I know people were basically stealing these things last year when people weren't buying cars, but the demand has finally caught up with the supply. I saw on the forums last year, people were getting the 3.3 for the same price that I paid for my 2.0 this year, makes me tear up a bit.
please invest in a tripod... your videos are great... but the constant movement makes me motion-sick. Love the info though... I just have to stop watching and listen though
