Sigh! I knew I was rubbish before I watched this beautiful creation. Imagine how I feel now.. I am going to stop playing this game on normal and learn how to build roads properly. Start with dirt roads and try to copy this layout, Then start all over again and try it on normal settings. Stop playing and start learning. I thought I bought a game, apparently in the right hands it is a work of art.
once you get down roads and traffic everything else just kinda falls into place

His citizens must have velcro soles to climb those paths, but tat is the only thing i can fault.
@@MartinSparkes-BadDragon I just wish the game somehow converted those steep pathways into stairs, ah oh well - maybe in Cities: Skylines 2!

No, as long as they build a better game engine for the 2nd game. Otherwise there’s no point for a 2nd game if they cannot make a better game engine.

me everytime when i start the game my brain says "GRIDS GRIDS ",GRIDS ONLY lol
Don't play on flat maps. Terrain has a way of forcing you to do things.

And I'd actually watch a series on growing a circular city. Seeing where industry gets placed, the transport hubs etc.
I put this layout down in another city I'm working on. It will more than likely wind up as a large residential zone with some commercial. Thanks for making the time to create and share your work. Looking forward to the next episode of Design and Manage. The city is coming along nicely.

I just got the game there today, the design is very pleasing to the eye and this was very easy to follow and was very helpful in understanding the basics of the game, about the only thing missing from this though is the holy generator in the centre.

Psychologic torture, when you can see your house 100m from you but still need to drive 20 km more.

Target is indeed my ultimate Cities:Skylines guru, I really hope I'll manage to come up with something on a similar level one day...
It’s way to fenicky on console. Also I either sit and over think everything and not building or just build and then hate my rushed layout.
Seriously. I've been trying to make something similar using this and his Quarter City as inspiration and I cannot seem to get the same level of symmetry here on the ps4.
Sometimes, you gotta turn off snap to road guidelines and freeform it out bud

If I were to scale this up, one change I would make is replacing the central roundabout with a either a stack or turbine interchange. I won't deny that roundabouts are a great way to route local traffic but from my personal experience they suck at routing heavy traffic from multiple areas into a major road, since traffic inside the roundabout ends up holding up traffic trying to enter.

Well I use this system mainly with the industry dlc with the amount of traffic the roundabout system works great 👍

My last city has the shape of half a circle so services are in reach of the population, and I like to have industry in a different location, as far as posible from the city, everything seemed to go fine but suddenly the traffic was a nightmare :/

where can I download the save file for this city? I want to study it in detail and analyze the traffic flow.
I gave this a try today. Before I got the the water i ran out of money. And ended up needed to start a new build. $70,000 to start with is not enough for this build. But it does look very nice. On a side note you could talk to us when building.

Good idea and I like you using the past but unless you turn the walkway on the road off they will never use your walkway up and over

In fairness to the creator it does say a its a tutorial on a circular city in the video title, i mean im not a fan of purple donkeys so i happened to see a video titled look at my purple donkey i wouldnt then watch it and complain it was another purple donkey..... something to think about...

Hi, Very nice, will you post this on the workshop, i did get a earlier similar one you done called Quarter city, but i can only use it at work with their login as they have all DLC on the work id
, my personal steam account one is mass transit and sunset only.
I normally dont like the fast forward or the time lapse as i enjoy the comments and dimensions ( which you have shown ), the calming music is much peter than some other site that play heavy metal
How is the noise with the overhead highway - i would like to practice a similar concept but with under road express bypass lanes
