After over 4000km on my wheel the only maintenance I've done is to replace the tyre when it wore out. Changing the sliders is a must. A totally different wheel. The MTB tracks around here are very steep and very rocky. Going to a 650lb spring made a big difference in the speed I could ride. Much less Skippy in Rick gardens etc. Buying a 2mm thick sheet of carbon is way cheaper than buying the side plates. Right now, there's no wheel I'd replace it with 👍
Man, this video looks so good!! Just tasty candy - for the EYES. Great info too. I really wanted that wheel to be the GOAT. Alas, I think it might end up going down as the donkey wearing lion clothes - although donkeys are likely more reliable...
I have 800 miles on my S22. I use it for everything but commuting to work. I waited about 400 miles before I changed out the sliders...huge mistake...do it immediately. It is a huge upgrade. Trolly handle isn't good for anything but a helmet stand. I usually leave the wheel by the exit in a store or restaurant and carry a bike lock in case I need to leave it outside. I do not have much crime in my area so I don't worry about it. I ride slow typically (15-25 mph) so I get pretty good range. I also rarely ride it further than 5 miles or so at a time.
It’s a great of road wheel, a bit heavy , but lots of torque even at slow speed. And yes, Bearing where loose, sliders where loose, bolts broke, but now after having it fixed, I have seen the insides. it has more torque than my old Sherman. Has much better tyre ( I do not agree with your idea of the KS tyre) I Sherman is square and has traintracking, try cornering at high speed on grass with the KS S22 en the Sherman orginal tyres. The only bad thing about the KS is the bad Bluetooth connect, I can Push as much as I want on the start button , it will never start until I open the app en try connecting very slow.
This s20/22 has so much hype pre launch which maybe led to its just as hyped disappointment. Thought bout the s22 but ended with the T4 as my dedicated dirt wheel. Its got 1600kms ie.1k miles & only things I've done is adjust the suspension screws & some wd40 to calm the linkage squeaks. Super fun & very playful on even gnarly stuff. Glad I passed on this Leaper Eagle. Will be eagerly awaiting the Extreme's debut in the wilds but honestly, my T4's doing everything I want & adding 20+ extra lbs does not excite me even with the better torque, speed & build of the Extreme. Thanks for the vid
15K on my Sherman max, replaced 1 bearing and 2 sets of tires. 5K on my Sherman suspension now, no parts replaced yet. I guess 600 miles is ok for a long term review. :) (I’m just picking on ya man, great video!)
2k miles with all possible upgrades (Sliders, tires, pedals, faring, bolts, pads, shock). And I just sold mine, waiting for the Patton to arrive for now. Need that torque man, S22 aint have it.
haha I just can't get that image out of my head. When you guys ride these electric unicycles, it looks like the game BC's Quest for Tires from the 1980s. Look it up. I've never ridden one myself. I ride electric bikes though.
I have about 800 miles on my s22 pro, can confirm, the trolley handle is one of my least favorite parts of the wheel. The trolley handle is worlds better on the v11
Hey mate, My end of the world, up in Canada, has had a predictably brutal winter. When I'm able to test most of the new wheels under ideal and fair conditions, I'll be going full steam ahead!
@@landocycle Which province a you from ? I can confirm that winter in Québec is extremely boring too, would love to see what the winter are like elsewhere
@@MathieuTechMoto hey mate! I’m up in the middle of British Columbia. I work with Eevees in Vancouver to test the new wheels, but they get heavy amounts of rain in winter. Our agreement is that I’m only able to demo the wheels in fair weather (and I can respect that). In order to avoid driving down there, which costs me lots of money, only to have rain for weeks, I would rather wait until spring.
Here we don't have much rain, but very depressing heavy clouding for weeks, i'll be in Vancouver between Febuary 24-26 for a Vancouver-Toronto luxurious train trip, i'll probably gonna say Hello to Eevees guy while i'm there :) @@landocycle
Glad you're still making videos. EUCs are so niche, but I like your content the most out of the other youtube channels.
Thank you for the kind words, it truly means a lot!
@@landocycle Ditto. Great videos. That house on the intro was pretty sweet as well.

Great review bro I’m at 1300 miles on mine and it’s been great especially with the new sliders well balanced wheel as far as speed and riding

My slider kit comes with 32 CNC rollers and it’s definitely working in my favor
I use the trolly handle with the wheel going backwards. So bad, I agree.
I plug in the wheel on its kickstand, so if you turn it on it won't activate.
Excellent honest review. ❤

Just about to join you on this one
it's a suspension wheel, and the worse thing about it is the suspension. Hmm.
Inherently poor design, throughout, from the get-go. ‘Stride was trying to do them a favour!
imo great wheel even with the issues. it's the price that's egregious.

146% with the trolley issue. use my s18 for daily commute only because my s22 handle is so teeeerible 😅
Review the S19 next!

Eevees pinned mine, I think most places fixed them.
What helmet are you wearing? Looks like a modular?
Not modular. Bell MX-9 ADVENTURE MIPS
@@landocycle all adventure type helmets good, just i dont like D rings on some of them
What’s a good price for a used s22?
Anything under $2,000 USD would be good pending condition and milage. IMO
S22 is still a great wheel. It just doesn't have torque.
Where should I order my euc from
depends on country, in EU i know 4 mimimum dealers, good dealers
who is watching this after having bought the s22
