    It seems that anyting Tony Iommi and Ronnie James Dio did together was always great. There is nothing negative to say about Ozzy because he was Black Sabbath however Ronnie and Tony wrote good songs together. Tony Iommi was asked one time, how do you and Ronnie James Dio write music. After listening to Sori talk about the idea of pursuing the curiosity of Satanism, I'm reminded of the song, Too Late, from the same Dehumanizer album. It tells a chilling tale about someone who takes his curiosity a little too far and decides he wants out.... but it's too late!

    • @elinino5275
      @elinino5275 3 года назад

      The lyrics on Dehumanizer are AMAZING! oddly enough, Iommi told Dio not to write about rainbows and dragons anymore lol! I'd say it worked!

    • @ii-wt7jq
      @ii-wt7jq 14 дней назад

      Interesting because this song has nothing to do with Satanism. Pretty much the entirety of Dehumanizer is just Dio's anti organized religion stance, he was vehemently anti-christian/catholic. Which is painstakingly obvious with this song and others on Dehumanizer. "Midnight confessions never heal the soul, what you believe is fantasy."

      Amen! Tony Martin's era in Sabbath is truly an overlooked period of Tony Iommi's continued excellence. His music and Martin's lyrics ushered in a new era for Black Sabbath. A darker version of MK I Sabbath. Toned down the fantasy a bit. Tyr has it's religious, mystical and fantastical elements. The rest a tad more original.

    I don't think I ever noticed this, but that riff sounds remarkably similar to the verse riff for the Guns n' Roses song Paradise City, which came out 5 years before. Slash admitted he loved that riff andis a huge Tony Iommi /Black Sabbath fan and said he loved that riff, thus he borrowed it. So here Iommi is really “sampling” himself!
