      Cici, I cooked your recipe, with a little adjustment and the taste is great, so thank you for sharing this recipe, but from my experience, the dark soy sauce quantities are not realistic, in terms of the thumb-nail pic you used; it's fake, I'm disappointed to say! I used 1/3rd the amount of dark soy sauce in the sauce, and the dish still turned out quite dark, compared to yours. Perhaps in the future, you could mention the brand names of the different sauces used in your recipe, just like you mentioned the "Golden Mountain" sauce, as to guide the viewers closer to what you produced, as there are many different types of soy sauces, for example, in different regions right across Asia.

      @@timstravellingwok Chinese use pearl river boat brand since my fiance is Chinese and that's the only brand he found in the Asian grocery market. I'm half Lao and Thai and I use black soy sauce healthy boy brand or Kum Heng Sheng sauce which is another black soy sauce in Thailand.

      @@niallahorana3377 I do my Asian cooking outside under natural light, using a large wok burner. I have been cooking authentic Asian food for over 40 years, so I am very experienced, therefore I honestly believe that this recipe's appearance, has nothing to do with the lighting, sorry for not agreeing with you.

    where do you find the hor fun noodles?? I can't find it anywhere.

    • @CiCiLi
      @CiCiLi  3 года назад

      They are available in most Asian supermarkets. If you can't find the fresh ones, the dried ones will work too. ☺️

    Hmmmmm, hor fun... Let's not even go there lol! Interesting. Never tried those kind of noodles. I will see if I can find them out here in the wilds of Wyoming where we live so far out in the sticks we have to import the sticks ha ha! Snow!? Please! We're over feet of it here with the freezer box of cold too.

    "Golden Mountain seasoning sauce" impossible to find in 99% of America. Will be forced to buy it for 18 bucks online...

      Yeah, the same with the traditional Chinese seasonings where I live. But if you can find a seller on Amazon that can verify their product...very worth it!

      Thanks for letting me know. You could also replace it with regular soy sauce. :)
