I grew up with a friend that played metal drums in church he grew up loving motley Crue and Tommy Lee and he could play double bass in triple bass with one foot. That's how good he was and this was in junior high school😊 I grew up in Nebraska he was black just like that. So cool!
This guy kicks some serious butt, and really makes it all work out appropriately, with a great energy to it all.....Tons of spirit and heart with what he accomplishes!!! I can remember being a young one in church an turning the "hymns" into metal in my mind.........

I played guitar in my youth group growing up. Most of the band were metal heads so we rewrote a few songs in metal style. Pastor was the only one who knew we were going to have a heavy metal worship that day. We had a holy mosh pit.

back in the day a couple of my buddies that i went to school/church with played guitar and drums in the church band. this is basically how it went every week for us as well. lol they ended up starting a Christian metal band together called Gideon now they tour all over the world.
I go to our church because of the Preaching Ang teachings from the word of God....music is secondary part of our worship and our music is does.not cater to the flesh..
