I lived in the middle of an Amish community in KY, I was in my 20s then, had one of my niebors,eli of coarse,work with me logging,spent a lot of time with him and learned about his beliefs and told him about mine,I don't believe either of us are right about God but Eli has been a friend for 30 years now,he has left the Amish and I had left the witnesses, strange how two guys that were brought up so different had so many things in common,they believe that they are right just like every other religion,hard working REAL people.....
Amish community has similar cultures like Badui in West Java Indonesia, they refuse to using modern utensils, they live in a hut instead of proper home, bare legs instead of wearing shoes or sandals and many of them uneducated due to its own cultures
@@StevieD1 Hey Stevie! I finally remembered to ask some Amish riders your question. They said if they are going to be 3-4 hours or longer, they will unhitch down to just the halter. However, in certain instances like an all-day auction, they have no choice but to leave the horse on the buggy.

Depending on weather and how many horses. The barn or outside hitching posts.
