- Last year, S.T.Dupont announced the third version of its popular miniJet, a single-flame torch lighter introduced in 2007. The new version takes the design cues from the company's megaJet, but puts it in the company dimensions of previous miniJet lighters. The 2021 version of the miniJet ($150+) boasts some small changes compared to previous models and is also notable for being made in France, a rarity for a torch lighter. Patrick Lagreid gives his thoughts about whether the newest S.T.Dupont lighter is good enough to go in your pocket.

After multiple mini and maxi jets I found the Colibri Daytona. One third the price and much better.
There is a problem, my minijet has no fire after being inflated, and it needs to be sprayed for a while before it can fire normally
I had (have) the 1st gen mini jet and my wife misplaced it, so bought this new version….
This one is an ST DuPont yes, but made in China. They are NOT hand making these in France.Just selling their name legally. Smart for Dupont, more sales of course.
That's not a bullseye, it's a roundel. Specifically the one for the French Airforce. Other than that, great review.
I just bought the same and have 1 problem,it works fine but when you shake it it has sound like some spring bouncing up and down...so is this normal or is it some mistake in him?
It's a pocket lighter that you can't put in your pocket after lighting a stick because it's too hot. I had a lighter with a similar flaw that I had to throw out because it melted some plastic I had in my coat pocket and because unusable/trashed. Seems like a big miss.
Nice! Si this is made in France again, so how it is with Slim7? Is Slim7 made in China?thx
Does this require a flint, and if so, how do you change it?
Dropped once, never fired?
That hot is a no go when you cant put it in your pocket after use
Looks allot like the Xikar Xidris
