- There are a lot of places to start a conversation about the S.T.Dupont's Hooked lighter. There's the $59 price, unheard of for S.T.Dupont; there's the weird ring/hook attachment, a feature seemingly no one has ever wanted for a lighter like this; there's the fact that one of the many colorways for the lighter is decorated with images of stick figures in sex positions-yes, you read that right.
But let's start with the fact that it's worked every time.
S.T.Dupont's new Hooked lighter is a pretty clear attempt by S.T.Dupont to find new customers. At $59, it's closer in price to a Zippo than any other lighter S.T.Dupont sells. It doesn't ping, it's made in China, and it's lacking pretty basic features, but it still says S.T.Dupont on it and it still lights up each the time ignition was pressed.

I really want to go for the ligne 2 model but don't know which one. I quite like the double flame
I have one.... Absolutely love it! Works very very well. Works better than my more expensive lighters.

In the st DuPont site this is a cigarette lighter not for cigar. For that doesn’t have a big flame or a cigar puncher. Not for me, also I don’t know the point of hook the lighter somewhere 😂

Purge/bleed tank from fill valve, turn adjustment wheel down, use adapter if needed, and make sure you turn your flame adjustment slowly up until working great. It sounds like you didn’t fill it correctly or the adjustment wheel was on off.
Mine ignites one out of ten...did you find a solution?

Hi, Can you advise me if this lighter uses plastic parts and if so, which parts of it are plastic? Another reviewer has stated that the operating button and the flame surrounds are plastic! Is this true? If so, I cannot believe a supposedly discerning lighter brand would even consider using plastics in a flame thrower! This would totally eradicate it from any chance of purchasing, for sure! Please….let me know! Thank you!

Its nice, but the paint quality is total garbage. The slightest hit on anything and the paint comes right off. Not what I'd expect from a Dupont.
I would pay $20 at the MOST for this lighter. it is seriously A RIP OFF at $60!!! I have been using a couple Ronson single flame torch lighters that i bought from Walmart for nearly 5 years now. how much did i pay? a whopping $2.75 each...... they have a similar look and working as this one does. never had an issue with them. so why would anybody pay such a outrageous price for this rip off from S.T.Dupont?????
Cause we can? That's you. I'd rather not light my 30 dollar sticks with a Walmart lighter. It's still only 60 bucks. Relax.
It's down to having a more reliable lighter and also having a lighter that's also better built and better quality
