Beauty classic fire trucks!! I got a treat for you Elton. I am going to film some old fire trucks and classic coach buses in the coming days as a part of my new Junkyard series
Wow. These trucks are older than I thought, and I was thinking mid 1960's! You should have let me know you were passing through town, I would have joined you. These are amazing trucks. Chateauguay, (nearby town) used to have some classic trucks as well, with 8v71's.
It appears to me that Thibault did a nice makeover of the Ford/Budd cab on the ladder. Don't know if it is still a Ford chassis or Thibault custom chassis using just the Ford cab, but Thibault probably moved the engine back to make it a fixed cab instead of a tilt, putting the engine between the jump seats in classic fashion. A fire company about 1 1/2 hours from me claims they have the very last Ford C-series tilt cab ever made, a 1990 pump with E-1 bodywork.
I wonder why Canadians get the kind of powertrains we don't, like using a 6-71 Detroit Diesel in a Ford C8000, or a 6V53 in an IH Cargostar 1950B beyond 1976?
Magnifique!

I love your commentary. The enthusiasm is just intoxicating. lol
En fait le 1960 c'est un Thibault AWIT, un camion custom que Thibault a fait dans les années 1960 avec des pièces de Ford. Deux beaux trucks !
Nice Ford trucks
