She has been sitting for two weeks, time to move so i can mow. Fires right up, but I still need to fix the exhaust and rattling mirror. Those are winter projects.
I always loved that "CUSTOM CAB" lettering So- SO ford man AND still going strong "Ford tough" Thats one big perfect toy Talk about 60'S STYLE- JUST LOOK AT THAT STYLIZED STAR ON LEFT SIDE OF THE DASH
O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Nice Ford C900! Good walk around! I had a 65 C800 tractor & I simply loved it! The cab style is quite appealing, accessible & rather stylish! They made that cab from about 1958 to 1993 or so I think. Mack used the cab in the beginning…TRUE! Sounds like it may have an exhaust manifold leak, but still sounds nice. I didn’t know they made a 477 engine. Mine was a 391 with a 4 barrel Holley carb. I miss that truck. Enjoy your Ford my friend! Blessings. 🤩🥰✌️
Definitely a manifold leak. Yep, the big gassers from ford were the super duty engines a 401, a 477 and a 534. They were medium duty on up truck engines.
@@scottprendergast5262 🇺🇸 Yes, I believe Mack offered that cab for only 1 year or so. I wasn’t sure if it was BUDD that made them though. Good info. Thanks friend! ✌️
Super cool old truck looks like an repurposed fire truck. Looking at one right now I’m considering buying even though I really don’t need another project.
Nope, it's very low geared, I believe it was a tanker or pumper truck when it was a fire truck, carried a big ol tank of water and it had to be able to crawl through snow and or mud filled ditches around downed trees and whatnot to get to a fire no matter what, has the detroit no spin in the rear too. I'd kinda like to put a good hitch on it and take it to the truck pulls once, see if she will lift the front tires.
It's the middle size version of three engines ford called the Super Duty engine family, it's a 477ci 253hp V8 gasoline. Not sure on torque but it's got to be quite high.
@@user-by7rr9yl2c That works out to over 5 miles per gallon, according to my math, it may do that empty, but I think it uses more loaded. She is not an economy cruiser by any means.
I'm not sure what makes it a custom cab option, it does have armrests, and has a fairly nice looking interior for a work truck. Just a trim package from ford I'm sure.

It's definitely a dinosaur, not too many out roaming around anymore, most are petrified in a patch of weeds somewhere.
I love old Ford trucks , they never made a finer truck brother 🤙

Porter. Do you remember when the BUDD (train car) company built similar cabs for MACK IN THE LATE.50S

Thanks a lot for retorn.
God bless you.

Where can I find door seals wind seals and sweeps?
That I do not know... mine probably needs all that too, but it does what I need it to.
Beautiful dash. No split rear axle?

Where is a good place to find parts for these?
That is a good question, I have not found a good single source.
I have found certain things on ebay.
They are fairly obsolete.
Just a dinosaur.
2:10 In the Soviet Zil 130 truck, the sound of the engine is the same. How much horsepower does this Ford have?

Basically the basic standard deluxe package. No luxuries of any kind. The best way to go 👍
Que belleza de Camion 😊
