yes, barre is awesome for the hips. My overload series non-youtube workouts have a whole lot of similar exercises, but they are total body workouts. You might want to have a look at those on my website or the trailers are on my youtube channel too 😊

I had to laugh when you said" if this is not burning then go lower" I'm thinking to myself, who could not be burning right now?? LOL! I loved that your kitty came and joined us. My kitties like to sit on my chair as well and many times they start attacking and playing with my hands, so it's further motivation to not put any weight on that chair! Yes, you will see a lot more sweat in my older workouts cause I didn't have an air conditioner in the same room as me, in the new studio it is a lot better, but there is definitely still sweat!! 😊

I did this with a broomstick instead of a barre....holy balance! holy glutes! I had to do less reps in order to keep proper form but man was that a challenge. Loved it!

I did this workout using a medium resistance band and a pair of ankle weights. My legs shook throughout the entire routine! YAY!

+Lorraine Azzinnari thanks! Yes, this is a tough one. It depends on how sore you are over the following days as to how many times you do this workout. I would say at the most 3 times a week. You might want to use some of my other workouts which target slightly different muscle groups in between. :)

I have a hard time doing this in bare feet for so long. Will it change the affects of the exercises if you do it with runners on?
No, it's totally fine to do it in runners as long as they are flexible enough. I sometimes do my barre in runners :)
My doctor said I can do these barre exercises providing I wear my running shoes. It's ok, there is no problem.
Can i use a closet rack as a substitute?
Just use a chair, it would be more sturdy
Just found you couple weeks ago with ur outer thigh workout , ugh tht burned . been doing a few diff ones, luv these. What is most effective workout for the extra flab under ur lower back like ur hips but twrd the back like extra butt lol , :/ thnx I've heard barre wrkouts are the quickest way to lose and sculpt, keep the awesome vids coming ! be blessed !

Angela Valentino There is actually background music, but I have been working on making it louder in my newer videos. Because of copyright restrictions I have been making my own music, which is quite time consuming, but I am getting there :)
