Thanks for highlighting this issue, I'm one of the unfortunates who's s22 ultra got bricked, mine scenario was a bit different, im a power user and this issue did not start as i updated the software, the phone became so laggy, 3 4 days before we got November security patch update. I was worried and i thought the update came right in time to fix, but as i updated, gone case, before updating i just had lag and frequent stutters but then a boot loop, it started to show that system software is corrupted. I took to service centre and they told that the software was not installed properly, they didn't acknowledge the lags and stutters and told that phone was turned off as it was updating. They reset my phone assuring that ay not happen. Post that i tried to use the phone 2 3 days, but it was soooooooooo laggy that even my moms M series phones seems to be fast and snappy. I was sooo irritated that i wanted to throw the phone. It used to lag a lot struggle to open apps, but no performance issues one ui home was the main problem, tried with different launchers, it worked, but had to struggle when we open settings and quick pannel as they were part of one ui home, uninstalled good lock mod then i thought problem solved, but 2 hours later again same issue. I was in verge to break the phone and never return to Samsung, but was stuck with the ecosystem. Went to get downgraded to an vannilla s24 as waiting for s25 series reduces the price of tade in around 10k, came out with fold 6 post experinceing device, i got a trade in value of 37k with in samsung store for my s22 ultra, just factory reset the phone and trade in it'll not show any complaints for first 1 to 2 hours of use. I hope my experience helps people on this community. Trade in your s22 ultra if u get this issue as software bricks may damage motherboard and no 1 cares if that's fried.

I heard these issues were occurring primarily with the Exynos version of the phone. I have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and my device has received all current updates and is working just fine. Samsung should definitely step in and assist owners who are now holding a useless phone because of this glitch. Do the right thing!!
I am also facing this issue from November 2024 but in December the frequency of freezing and restarting has increased so I had an update pending and I updated it and after the update it became worse, it went to a bootloop and hardly used to work. It stopped after 1-2 days but still device freezes and restarts. In my case the opinion of service center differed and they asked me to first get the charging circuit replaced first and after that if the issue still persists then get the motherboard replaced which is worth almost 30k. I have understood that this issue has been faced my hundreds/thousands of people all across the globe so this issue is by Samsung itself and we all should get a free replacement/service as the case may be. This thing has been covered by well known news reporters such as Forbes, Sam Police and GSM China.
I faced the same issue on my S22 after the update. Tried multiple things to get it resolved but no luck. I exchanged my phone and switched to another manufacturer.
Brooo, just yesterday i started update of my galaxy watch 4 on my s23 ultra and it got stuck in reboot loop. I visited the service centre today and was told that motherboard is faulty and need to replace. What do we do collectively here need help here
After November update my S22 Plus has pink line on the screen. I've used the phone with utmost care but still this happened. Now there is another pink line on the screen. The worst thing is, I got this issue on 9th December and my phone's warranty was valid upto 9th November. I went to service center, they told me that I'll have to pay for the screen replacement charges. Damn samsung!!! Issue arises exactly after 1 month of warranty expiry.
I have the s22 using right now with One UI 6.1 update and the only issue is some my phone lag and sometimes it get a little warning than usual, otherwise is a great update 👍
I'm not really surprised by this. Recently Samsung has been less than helpful with the issues and bugs my S23U. My wife and I have the same phones and her phone has none of the issues I'm experiencing. Phone app crashes when answering and making calls is my most recent issue. I recently reset the phone and now it's pulling this bs after a few days use. I have to reboot the phone daily to keep it working. Idk if it's their new leadership or culture at the company but their gaf is dropping fast.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra purchased last year, along with a Galaxy S23 Ultra which I got just last month. Both run the same CPU and chipset hardware, with the tab s9 not having cellular service. My Galaxy Tab S9 runs OneUI 6.1.1 and the S23 Ultra runs OneUI 6.1. Both are running the latest updates avaliable to them. Now I am worried if my devices will be bricked. Damn !!!
I have an S23 Ultra, but I can't update it since October 2023. I'm also stuck in the beta program. I have tried a factory reset, but nothing has worked. Has anyone solved this issue?
For slow performance after an update, you have to give the phone time to defragment. It should free itself up by deleting unnecessary files over time. Run the app optimizer in Good Guardians. Give it a few days after that. The phone will also run hot during this period. It should speed up afterward.
I just got the s23 ultra. I have no issues, but after seeing this video, i have concerns. Note that my tab s9 ultra also uses the swme cpu and chipset as the s23 ultra, minus the cellular services.

I have been reading the comments, and it seems that some have the isuues others don't. Some are even saying other Samsung models are having issues like the S23 Ultra! The question is, what software is on the affected phones that could be a possible cause? Also regular backup of data is a wise move.
It happened with my s24 ultra also and I was also thinking why is this happening then I just uninstalled a VPN, of which i thought was making trouble, and after that my phone is running smoothly and that boot stutter was happening when I was putting my phone on charging but now after a week nothing happened,my device is working smoothly
Thankfully, I got rid of the 22U some time back. Samsung will not support. Reason why I will never go for flagships anymore. My 22U had lots of issues despite me babying it.
Very wise! I do the same. I do regular backs, even if there are no updates. I just replied to someone who thinks they lost everything. including access to Google, Facebook and Starbucks. I told them to sign in on another device!
I don't get it. Can someone please help me understand? If the "S" series gets monthly updates, and one update is bugged and I decide not to install it, what happens with the next update? Will I get the next month's update directly, or will I have to install the buggy one eventually? What would be the point if I have to install it anyway?😮😅
A few months ago, Samsung released a an update the affected the S23 Ultra camera when zooming between 16x - 19.9x. It was discovered and the updated was pulled in some regions. Then a bug fix was sent the next month. The regions that didn't get the buggy update had the repaired update or combined update with all the patch.
I have the exynos version and goes flawless since now and never had an issue. I think these issues happened to the first ones updated to 6.1.1 before the update got delated at September maybe for these and other issues...
Likely doing something extra to the phone. My S23U works fine got it a week or so ago. I usually don't use it for 30 minutes to let the update bake in. I've got it highly customized across several apps... Good Lock, Bixby commands and Modes and Routines. Remember for some of those updates Google crapware is being updated too. I have that permanently turned off. Don't have a Google account. Remember Google just updated their AI crapware on the base. I don't use that either so. likely why I am not having any problems. The phone is smooth as butter.
i have the s22ultra and i have noticed that connecting to BT on some devices are glitchy . it's been connecting unusually slower but once connected it seems ok . kinda frustrating

From what I understand, this issue is specifically with the september update,so anyone who made it through that update should be safe, right? 🤔 (i have a galaxy s22 with the november update and it works perfectly fine)
This happened to me on Sunday. My S22 Ultra died and wouldn't restart after charging or wireless charging. No boot loop. I can't even factory reset it. Is there any way to recover data? If i dont recover it before I have to send it to asurion in 14 days, I'll have lost years of pictures, and access to my Google account which is linked to EVERYTHING. From my starbucks account (which has real money on it) to my Facebook.
So long as you remember your Google account user name and password, you can sign in on another device to access your data. Same goes for Starbucks account, and any other account like Facebook, Instagram, Microsoft, Apple, etc. These are all cloud storage. Any photos, music and other data only stored on the phone will be lost , unless it has been backed up. I use USB-C memory sticks and T7 portable SSD storage to back from S23 Ultra at least once a month. Always backup before doing any system updates!
I have a s22 ultra, am having the issue since September. Mine is that if i enable wifi or location it will freeze, glitch and restart but previously it restart like 7 times daily.
Thank you for uploading this.. After this year april update, my S22 ultra suddenly developed screen bleeding issue. Then, i went to the authorised service center here in Nigeria, only for me to see another man with the same screen bleeding issue after the same software update. The innocent man was already blaming his innocent toddler for it 😤. Luckily for us we were still on warranty bcos it was a 2 year warranty. Mine was remaining one month to expire. They later fixed a new screen for both of us without paying a dime. I'm still angry and disappointed in Samsung since then. So, assuming if our warranty has expired we could have paid extra $300, for a problem caused by them 😢 . Samsung needs to do better, honestly.
Can I use the phone without the updates. Is there any issue in not updating the phone. Especially any security issues. In case it occurs can I resolve it by factory resetting my phone. Iam asking the doubt because Iam a user who got green line after updating the phone. After that I upgraded my phone to new one. I hope you will solve my doubt
Their new models are releasing, of course they will cripple the older models. Next year same time i expect my s23 ultra to have same issue after "update".
I haven't heard of nothing like this am say it's people that have gone ahead to hack or jailbreak or are using custom rom that it's affecting that's why they have security update patches and that are using illegal update softwares on your s21 and above this problem will find you
I'm facing the same issue. My S22 ultra got bricked about 2-3 weeks ago after the latest patch and the service center guys were just saying, we will replace the motherboard but it will cost around 54k and all data will be lost..🙄😒 Samsung service center guys don't have the chip level expertise. The Local repair shop person is saying he need to replace the RAM to fix the issue. The fix by local repair shop will be permanent or just temporary I don't know..😢 Right now m not sure what to do..😔
@@fahadcool13 thanks for the information, I've given to my local vendor for RAM replacement today afternoon only. I'll double check if he is putting 12 GB or 8.. thanks again for the info.
I commenting yesterday to you About this problem.. And Today I was going to service center, my phone is out of warranty,.. And service center guy says "Its a mother board problem We will changing mother board aprox 35k to 40k rupees." So I'm going to local market shop and he was says "Ok, I'll reball the CPU, cost approx 5K and it is normal problem in Samsung mobiles." Now I'm thinking Switch to IPhones.. Can we trust Samsung anymore? Because I was planning to buying New S25 Ultra After Launching.. But Now Im confuse.. Go with Samsung Again after this Incident or switching to Iphones? 😢
Is this the beta that caused the brick ? You see this is why I have my s23 ultra on 5.1 and tab s8 on the stable 6.1.1 separately and why you always back everything up because I have data I can't afford to lose
I have my tab s9 ultra with one ui 6.11 installed, and I just got an S23 Ultra which I love. I am now concerned about both being bricked. Guess I will stop doing updates now. But sooner or later, Samsung will force the updates on my devices.
I tried not to update for about a month. And for some reason it forced update itself 2 nights ago. Now I'm with no phone and waiting on google to deliver my new device. Fk Samsung. Same exact shit happened to my Note10+ 3 years ago.
Im heavily into the Samsung ecosystem but been considering jumping ship too !!! i thought i was just unlucky with these problems on my s22 ultra , didn't know that it was so widespread , ultra 25 or bye bye Samsung 🤔
After S20, 21, 22 series, Its now S23's turn to have green/pink line issues. S23 users.... get ur fingers crossed 🤞 and those who are planning to buy an S23, better stay away ✋.
i have an s22 and the new update destroyed my phone it over heats and wont charge its real bad i willl never ever buy anything samsung again not a ssd that breaks or a tv or a smart phone never ever again
Samsung is a idiot mobile company my 20 plus was starting to green light last year by the software update. I am planning to buy s24 but now I never buy any samsung mobile.
Delete your Google account it will work 1,000% better. Or never turn it on. I get 5 days battery life on one charge. Had to check just now. My phone says I get 5D 4Hs off one charge.
I saw a video somewhere over the last month where you can use another OS' on the phone or Android device and not have to use a google account. If I recall correctly.

I use USB-C memory sticks and T7 portable SSD storage to back from S23 Ultra at least once a month. Always backup before doing any system updates!
@konradc12 Thank you for the reply! I didn't have it backed up, nore can I remember the google pw. Lesson learned!
I've got the s22 ultra done the update, and no problem I live in the UK
Yes it's true after the December update there is lot of lagging issues on s24 ultra
I have an s22 ultra and 24 ultra, s22 ultra works perfectly fine
And S24 Ultra...blasted?
😂@@Mojemoye
Which ui update do you have
I have a s22 ultra, am having the issue since September.
Mine is that if i enable wifi or location it will freeze, glitch and restart but previously it restart like 7 times daily.
Same here after a Update s22 ultra it restart 2-3x in 24 h and days later nothing send it to samsung an it get a new Motherboard
ohk we will wait for your videos before updating our device. ✌️
👍
My s22 ultra as just stopped working how it's a brick rebooting all the time what a time to do this on new year day 😢😢😢
I have lost fast charging on tab s8 ultra a d s22 ultra since update
That's so unfortunate 💔
Just clean cache in bootloader 😊
😂 Good lord. I always recommend waiting a few weeks before Installing an update
Yeah, it's better to wait and see what others say.
This is one of the reason why I won't be buying a Samsung ph9ne going forward honestly. I am facing the same issue with my Samsung galaxy s 21 ultra
Use ODIN for unbrick your phone
Definitely I have agree with you, right on point
Their new models are releasing, of course they will cripple the older models. Next year same time i expect my s23 ultra to have same issue after "update".
I haven't heard of nothing like this am say it's people that have gone ahead to hack or jailbreak or are using custom rom that it's affecting that's why they have security update patches and that are using illegal update softwares on your s21 and above this problem will find you
I'm facing the same issue. My S22 ultra got bricked about 2-3 weeks ago after the latest patch and the service center guys were just saying, we will replace the motherboard but it will cost around 54k and all data will be lost..🙄😒
Samsung service center guys don't have the chip level expertise.
The Local repair shop person is saying he need to replace the RAM to fix the issue. The fix by local repair shop will be permanent or just temporary I don't know..😢
Right now m not sure what to do..😔
I got my ram replaced from a local vendor in 9k rupees
@fahadcool13 is it working after that?
@@abhinavbisht yes, I had 12gb ram, but he installed 8gb ram and it is working
I'm thinking the same bro
Is this the beta that caused the brick ? You see this is why I have my s23 ultra on 5.1 and tab s8 on the stable 6.1.1 separately and why you always back everything up because I have data I can't afford to lose
No not the beta, apparently it's 6.1.1. On s 22 series but not confirmed
@ThePhoneFuel also bro could you import the Samsung w25 and Huawei mate xt and compare ? It would be a cool comparison. W25 is way better than fold 6
I have my tab s9 ultra with one ui 6.11 installed, and I just got an S23 Ultra which I love. I am now concerned about both being bricked. Guess I will stop doing updates now. But sooner or later, Samsung will force the updates on my devices.
@jediknightdiscomike22 for me I've had a great experience with both
@jediknightdiscomike22 they never force them if you disable automatic updates
I haven't updated since the first day.. I'm happy😅😅😅
Me too facing alot of stutters after 6.1.1
Mine is died after november update,on december 7
Thankfully we got good RUclipsr like you🎉❤
I'm s23u user 😊
मेरे पास यही फोन है इसका पावर बटन अपने आप टूट गया कही पे भी बटन नही.मिल रहा हा दूसरी तकलीफ नही है
I'm already in october 1, 2024 update. But still now no issue with my phone alhamdulillah. Just it gets too much hot 🔥
I tried not to update for about a month. And for some reason it forced update itself 2 nights ago. Now I'm with no phone and waiting on google to deliver my new device. Fk Samsung. Same exact shit happened to my Note10+ 3 years ago.
I had the same experience on my s22 ultra and Samsung would do nothing about it so I ditch my Samsung and I went and got me a iPhone 16 Pro Max
Watching this on my up-to-date S22 Ultra 😅
I am having less and less faith in Samsung lately.
You mean on stand by? No phone offers 5 days even if you use it moderately. How will you use an android phone by deleting Google account?
I saw a video somewhere over the last month where you can use another OS' on the phone or Android device and not have to use a google account. If I recall correctly.
@@jediknightdiscomike22 Yes
Make some videos on s22 ultra
S22 Ultra is the best S Ultra. newer ones are terrible
Nowadays VIVO & iQOO are doing Great.
Vivo have same issue...green line after update
