These two are just perfect for each other. Their voices are brilliant together. I always am in awe when I hear them together. They are the best.
Emmylou and Rodney, together with a fantastic background band - what else it needs? Thumbs up!!
That steel guitar player was awesome.
One of my favorites with Emmy and Rodney. If Gram couldn't be around for Emmy, this is 2nd best. I have to mention that great band, steel guitar and piano. Emmy knows how to pick em. Or is it the other way around. Either way, this is great stuff, and the way country rock should be done. WOW!
The best guitar playing singing duo just about ever! Definitely my favorite. Going all the way back to the original Hot Band.
Such a kick ass band!!!
Listen to this over and over. what a great rendition of a Ray Price song. The backup band, and singing are FIRST RATE. The way COUNTRY MUSIC should be.
every one playing so clean and together. that pedal player just drives a song.
You took the words right off my keyboard!
Wow..I never heard Emmy and Rodney sing th is one. So nice. Emmy is unbelievable. Roger too...quite a duet.
Roger Miller wrote it.
So professionally performed! I just love watching Emmy Lou and Rodney perform together. I think Ray Price and Roger Miller would be pleased. I know I am! Thank-You for posting.
No
GOTCHA Brilliant job
Emmylou recorded lots of songs that had previously been hits by other artists but to my belief they were never covers. My way of thinking is that covers try in part to mimic a previous recording. There are millions of people who have fantastic voices but the top stars have voices that are unique. When she sings it its an Emmylou song. Emmylou owns every song she ever sings and her version is often the best. She and Rodney have worked together for over 40 years they fit together like hand and glove. Great to seem them making Country Music that's still real Country.
one of the best songs on RUclips ...wow, Emmylou with Rodney just superb singing. mosrite60
Nice to see Rodney singing with Emmylou again as he was in her HOT BAND years ago....
SUPERB!!! God bless Rodney & Emmy!!! This is one of my favorite country songs of all time, and though they don't out sing Ray Price and his original hit, they are a close, close second......
+PaulaT S. "They don't out sing Ray Price".......(!!!!!???)

Wow, that is great
I fell in love with Emmy Lou years ago. Just like Parsons, sinker, line, and hook. I couldn't sing, pick the guitar, or play piano. The only way I could see her was when I bought a ticket. Then one day You Tube arrived. Thanks You-Tube. Rodney is great also. . . . Gary Dixon

FIRM
The steel player sounds like the one that played on Radney Foster's Just Call Me Lonesome
Great song...great musicians!!
Who is pedal steel and tele players? never seen them before with Emmylou and Rodney. Austin City Limits out performs Nashville any day. Some great shows. mosrite60
It is Jedd Hughes on tele. And the great Steve Fishell on pedal steel. Steve has played a lot for Emmylou. Even in Hot Band and many times since then. Top-class musicians both.
70Bonnieand Thanx for the info. Often wondered about Steve Fishell as I believe he also played pedal steel on HWY 101 Records. HWY 101 are 4 members but their records always have pedal steel. The album covers only show 4. JD Maness may have played on several songs. But yeah, he's really an excellent pedal steel player. Same with Jedd on tele.
mosrite60 and don't forget the great bass playing of Byron House!
What a great band.
dreadnaught90 oh yeah, great bass. abit in the background, but still present. as you said it...great band. 2nd the motion.mosrite60
Actually, that sounds more like Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris, instead of EmmylouHarris and Rodney Crowell.

ACL I'd not retain the rights to the program?
The remarkable Ray Price had a solid hit with Invitation To The Blues, but Roger Miller is all over this!
Walt Whitman said women sit or move to and fro, some old, some young, the young are beautiful but the old are more beautiful. I thought he was nuts. Then along comes Emmy Lou. Your right Walt I'm wrong.
👍💜🌈💥
Looks like its dark clobber only. But hats are optional. Music top notch.
Along with the Ranchetes!
Dang good job but what else do we expect from those two
DÆVEN han døtte for musikk...
Dude. Check out the way the drummer double taps the snare. So nice. Effortless.
I believe they said the drummer is related to Hank Williams
@@richardsepulvado1090 He looks awfully familar to me
pissin upa a ropa chef pasquale
pOOr pOOr Emmy.. have problems with their beautiful "colifichets"..
Take away the keyboard and it sounds exactly like James Garver and the "Boogie grass fever" band! Non better than James and the band
