Must be in D.C. -- Never thought I'd hear of the Childe Harolde again! Besides Emmylou playing there, so did Liz Meyer & Wild Honey. I think Liz moved to Holland & had greater country success there. (And, maybe, passed away?) If anyone knows, drop a note here! Good one, Rodney!
Thanks Victor. First...duh...of course it's Sam on one of the fiddles. Don't know how I missed that during my first viewing 2 yrs ago! In any event, him and Sarah play some real nice, tasteful twin fiddles on this. And now watching it again, Buddy Miller might, in fact, be playing a Danelectro bass as opposed to a baritone. But regardless of all this - a great performance by Rodney & the band. A wonderful feel and delivery.
3 years since my last comment and my feelings for this song are still very much the same ,such Meaningful Lyrics ❤
A great songwriter, not given the recognition he deserves.
A close 2nd but Sammy Kershaw hit it out of the park.
What a voice ! A blast from the past , with Rodney no matter what he sings it's a high bar ......always loved his songs
