This video is exactly why so many people either hesitate or refuse to join the Raw movement. It sets way too high of an expectation for the common folk who live on a limited budget. That's why so many people are going towards the raw til 4 movement instead since its cheaper and gives the same result. Here in Canada just one of your little packs of Blueberries is 4$.

Forget about the video that's just an example of her personal eating habits, everyone can afford things in their life just by a positive mind set, in other word its limiting belief that keep telling us we can't achieve certain things in life. Its possible that everyone has backyards that are vacant so if we plant our own foods then it can be more beneficial to us than buying from Farmers market.
wow, okay. here it costs about $7 for a punnet of blueberries/raspberries etc. so that's $180 a week on fresh berries, and that's the cost for non-organic ones! :/ so unrealistic for the average person.
Darcy van de Laar I'm vegan with some raw. Do you have a Costco near you? You could buy frozen organic fruit as well as fresh there. They have frozen organic mangos, berries mix, blueberries and other frozen fruit. As well as organic greens. The choices are limited but it's pretty reasonably priced. They have fresh organic kale, greens mix of chard, kale & spinach, spinach, other salad greens, carrots, sweet potatoes, blueberries, raspberries They have a pretty good selection of other organic items too. Quinoa, Chia seeds, flour, dried fruits, maple syrup, etc. Maybe get a small amount at the farmers market. Why not try growing some things you like. There are all kinds of videos here that can show you how to do it. I know it takes some work. I would much rather spend my money on my health in this way. Instead of paying later for a triple bypass or some other debilitating disease that I helped bring to fruition. Just do what you can to improve your diet. Even if you just incorporate more fruit and veggies. In the long run. You'll be better off in the way you feel and how much you spend at the doctors office.
This opened my eyes. A raw vegan diet is only for rich people. I'm NEVER EVER able to afford this. Not even in a month. And I'm not alone, I have children. That really depresses me. :( I'm very sick, have bad chronic panis and put much hope in going 100% raw. Now I see it's imposible for me.
I personally eat meat though I went vegan (just vegan) for a week as a school project because I was upset about another youtube raw vegan personality's offensive way of addressing non-vegan eaters. Thank you for your bright warm approachable personality, although I've been dying for a steak and cake all week, you have inspired me to add an additional three days onto my project where I will go fully raw. This has been a ridiculous week and while I do currently still plan on going back to animal products, I can honestly say I have more respect than ever before for those who choose to be vegan as a lifestyle. While this ultimately is not a lifestyle that I personally prefer I would like to congratulate you on being such an inspiring figure to those who choose it, and the way you give a positive vibe to those who are not but are willing to try being raw vegan.
Hello Kristina, how do you store all your fruits and vegi's without them going bad. I know once they start going bad you can juice them but I know buying organic fruits and vegi's can be hard because they don't stay "fresh" as long. Any suggestions?
That is one of the most beautiful, colorful and gorgeously vibrant spread of real food I gave seen and reminds me about when I go shopping in whole foods supermarkets or otherwise,I buy vegetables and fruits about the same quantity and stuffs there can't believe their eyes during check outs. They say they love my shopping because it has all fresh produce and nothing pre cooked, frozen or packaged in fancy boxes.
Forget people and their negativity. You are positive, sweet, trying to help your viewers better themselves. I'm so grateful for your videos. I pray God continue to bless you and use you to encourage others. Shake off those haters, their just jealous of your success and joy. They'd rather complain about their situations instead of try to do something. Have a wonderful day and God Bless you.
"I have very few bananas" FOR JUST YOU FOR 7 DAYS?!!!? I count 24 bananas just that i can see clearly. That's 3.4 bananas a day for someone who "doesn't like to eat a lot of bananas in the summer"
Further.. it helps to be an owner of a bloody Food Co-op... Hardly anyone has that Luxury. I cannot seem to find a Food Co-op anywhere near me.. Any other suggestions? I would just love to be able to eat this way.. I literally have Raw Vegan dreams of me being able to afford any fruit and vegetables I want.. Sadly, real life differs from this immensely.
Maybe she runs the 5 miles a day to the nearest toilet after eating so much fruit. Where does she store such a huge amount of food .... her own private coolroom ?
Watching your videos is a bittersweet experience. Your videos are enjoyable, and the food looks delicious, but seriously it is unrealistic for the "normal" person to keep up with this shopping. I'll use myself as an example; I live in Europe, where we have all four seasons. There aren't anyone who sells fresh fruit and veggies in large quantities most of the year, at least nowhere near where I live. And the local store doesn't even have half of the fruit- and vegetable stash you have, plus the prices are steep! I live in Norway, where shopping for a simple salad can cost more than 30 dollars... If I was to buy all the fruit and veggies you have on that table, I don't even dare to think about the cost. Would probably be my entire payment for the month lol! I LOVE your videos but most of your recipes are so complex and often using ingredients that are hard to find. I wish you could make more "simple" recipes for those of us not able to find and / or afford all those ingredients.
although i love kristina, no one "needs" this much much every week, as most can't afford this. to everyone who can't JUST DO THE BEST YOU CAN, YOU DONT NEED THIS MUCH JUST DO WHATS BEST FOR YOU. love you all!
Wow, that is a lot of fresh food and it looks great. As many noted in the comments below that would be quite costly. But if the ultimate goal is to eat raw or just plant based in all your meals there are ways to make it work. It will take planning and dedication. I recently started a plant based lifestyle. I routinely check supermarket flyers for sales (two for $5 or buy 1 get the other free). I shop at Costco for bulk items. Some of my fruits I buy frozen. I rarely buy organic unless there is a sale as its just too expensive.
Maybe fruit and veg are a lot cheaper in the USA, but here in the UK if you were to buy that amount from a supermarket the price would be absolutely horrendous.
There's actually TONS of solutions for this!! 1. *IF* you have the room, grow your own! Organic fruits and veggies are amazing and great for you. Plus, you literally get to reap the benefits of your hard work! 2. Learn how to *BUY IN BULK*. If you can find a Farmer's Market, they will tend to do bulk fruit discounts, as long as you can promise to be a good customer. Also, you can check out bulk stores such as Sam's Club and Costco, and you can even work out deals with them (SOMETIMES)! One of the best excuses in the world is "I'm a fruit caterer". They don't have to know the fruit you cater is to yourself. ;) TRUST ME, going fully raw is possible for everyone. You just need to know how!
Valerie Smith If you have a roof over your head more than likely you have room to grow something. Even if it's just a few herbs or microgreens on your counter. People find room for useless things like TV's. The space taken up by a TV could be occupied by a planter. I plan to do some indoor gardening experiments in my bedroom. I think I can find a little room for a tomato or chili pepper plant.
How does she afford all this mass amount of food... She's loaded, that's how. This way of living is such a fantasy. I could never afford this and neither could many others. Her channel is at best a promotion of eating more vegetables and fruits. This is not a sustainable way to live for anyone who hasn't got thousands of dollars to spend each month on food
this video was amazing. your glow transcends. I am being my journey to incorporate more fruits and vegetables. however get really tired of consuming the same types of fruit offer by the grocery stores. your change gives great opinions. thanks and please keep sharing !
I'm a vegetarian for 5 years now so don't get me wrong, I love the healthy life style but I think this video actually discourages people to eat raw. I personally could never afford it. I don't have enough place to storage all of those fruits and vegetables and it also kinda seems you have to live to eat and not the other way around.
did anyone see the no of blueberry boxes? each of those would cost like 6-7 bucks, considering there are 15-20, woow 150 bucks just for blueberries a week? i wish i was this rich
c'monnn, not everyone is as financially comfortable as that, all that food wouldn't even fit where i'm currently having to live, i love your message but this is just counter productive cos it just makes me feel bleurgh, maybe you should make a video on how you make a living to support this lifestyle
Do you have any tips on eating raw in a full house of Non-Raw people? I am vegetarian in a meat eating family and im wanting to go fully raw but i dont know how i would go about doing that!
WOW! Kristina you and your process are AMAZING! Thank you so much for the INSPIRATION! I am no where near this level of commitment or access to affordable organic, fruits and veggies. Yes, I buy from a wonderful local farmer direct during their growing season. I have a question how do you store all this bounty? When I go down to the farm (about twice a month) I have quite a load and frankly am to the point of needing a second fridge.
The pop up title with picture of you, Kristina shows such a huge contrast. Tiny you sitting on top of an enormous array and supply of food. Very catching to the eye, and needless to say effective. It's hard to believe you eat allllllll that food. No wonder you look so amazing.
Does a truck come and deliver to your home every week? Seeing all of that, I now want to become a breatharian........i'll have no food expenses whatsoever. LOL By the way, I don't see a need to eat all that stuff in a week. That's just waste going to the toilet, it seems to me. You must spend all of your time eating. Doesn't make sense. What is life all about? Geez! Now, I'm lost seeing that there are people who spend most of their time focused on food and nothing else whether it's junk food or healthy food. Bless be you and all your food consumption. Whew! LOL :)
actually if you blend all that it turns into like 20 jars of juice so if you imagine her juicing her melons and those greens, and drinking blended juice twice a day it doesnt seem like that much to eat. you definitely spend a bit of time in the kitchen but not ALL your timing just cooking & eating.
What about protein? What about calcium? What about fibre, omega 3 fatty acids, iron etc. etc.? Fruits and vegetables can only provide SOME of these important nutrients! Being thin and being healthy are two different things. Though fully raw diets DO have many health benefits, it is IRRESPONSIBLE to ignore these essential minerals necessary for healthy body function!
The protein, calcium, fiber, phytonutrients and enzymes, etc are in the whole foods that she eats. She isn't being irresponsible...she has spent time educating herself on good nutrition and what works for her body. I suggest you do the same as this information is everywhere online for you to discover on your own.
Eating that much in a WEEK would cost me about 400 Dollars even if bought from the cheapest sources I can get here (i live in Europe) and definitely not organic food. That is about 10 times as much as I would now spend on food on following a diet that I would consider luxury for my region with a lot of organic products, lot of fresh food, lots of high value products. That lifestyle for a month would cost me more than I actually earn and then I have not even paid my rent or clothing or subway tickets or anything else. And I don't have children. I usually don't consider myself to be in a bad economic situation, but this is definitely not a lifestyle for people in colder areas of the world where you have to import fresh foods in winter.
Hey Kristina, Wow, that looks so good, it looks like summer!!!!. Where do u store all of those fruits and veggies.? Also, what veggie wash do u recommend.?
great videos Kristina and what a great inspiration. Just wondering, how do you keep all these beautiful food fresh during the whole week? For most of them they don't last more than a few days, even in the fridge :(
Another my question is to anybody: I remember one vegan persuading me how the meat eaters diet is not sustainable, how much water and land and other crops are used to feed one cow, which can feed certain amount of people, but if we fed the people the crops we give to the cow, several times more people could be fed. I agree with this part. But, when I match it against how much Kristina eats, how does this support the sustainability of the planet if one has to eat this enormous amount of fresh produce to support their body and wellbeing? How many acres per person would be needed per year in comparison to us, the omnivore counterparts eating not only meat but also the grains and cooked tubers, which provide more energy than raw ones?
I think you are right. The nature was not designed for intensive farming, it needs its own pace for growth and regeneration. Even that results in slow demineralisation of soils when it rains and the nutrients are washed off into the deeper ground or into the sea, but only clean water rains again, without the nutrients washed away. I have seen a document where they explained how there exist larger cycles of soils depletion and remineralisation... The remineralisation is due to volcano eruptions, large and catastrophic eruptions, that spread the precious minerals across the atmosphere, they settle down throughout the years and the global vegetation start thriving again. This is enhanced by ice ages (such volcano eruption can cause a significant climate change on its own), when large amounts of the vegetation 'temporarily' disappear - an Armageddon for humans and probably most of the flora and fauna, because it would not last a week, a month, not even a year. It was very interesting to learn that, but I do not remember what video it was and it was before I had this account set up so I do not have it in my watching history.
This is fantastic! Thanks you for sharing this with us! I am starting a vegan and raw food diet lifestyle for my daughter and I. I'm a visual person to it really helps to see what it really takes to maintain consistency. One thing I am not having much luck finding good information on is what to feed my daughter and what size proportions are accurate for a 4yr old. Will I need to add additional vitamins to her diet? Please help!
This is just not realistic for most people seeing as how most of us are on a budget and cannot afford to eat this healthily. I have still not found a way to get food in bulk like this and have it not cost 500$. Maybe you should make some videos on how we can AFFORD to eat fully Raw and Vegan. It seems to me that you have more money than most of us.. Care to share? Heh.
graceadeline1990 I posted my initial comment months ago. Since then, I've been fully raw myself, and I can guarantee she pays far less for her food than I do; hell, far less than most people do. I stand by what I said all that time ago. Further, I've found out too many things about how this woman truly is off camera and couldn't give a single care what her thoughts or advice are at all anymore. I stay Vegan (no matter if it is expensive sometimes or cheap other times) because of ethical reasons, not because I'm blindly following someone who is great at manipulating her viewers.
I don't care why you're vegan, and I don't blindly follow someone on RUclips because I'm not vegan, or raw, at all. I made no comment about your diet (because I don't care), who this woman is or anything like that. I simply replied to your comment about how could she afford this and does she care to share? and I said that she had stated in the video that she WAS sharing in her next video.
Thanks for the tip. I noticed that her photo of what she eats was smaller and less diverse which makes me wonder how healthy she was eating back then. Well, she survived it and now can eat a greater variety of f&v.
You're so cool and I really want all those fruits and veggies! I'm traveling and don't have easy access to f and v so I'm really grateful for fruits and veggies!
Eating meat is better, the production doesn't hurt animals as much. Meat also has more energy and vitamins. theconversation.com/ordering-the-vegetarian-meal-theres-more-animal-blood-on-your-hands-4659 EDIT, my views have changed a bit since I posted this comment. I'm not so sure about this whole thing anymore.
Being a vegetarian doesn't help the planet. That's true. But consuming ORGANIC and practicing and learning about PERMACULTURE does help. Reporting animal torture and abuse helps aswell. Not talking about eating animals, but about making them suffer. We must be conscious above all :)
But at the same time I don't belive you should have so quickly a conclusion about all of this. Believe me: I've been through all kinds of "how-to-eat-theories", and still searching! :)
The article only talks about Australia. How about the rest of the world? Some thoughts in the comments of that article: "Raising the issue of other animals being killed in the production of plant-based foods is important. However, why isn't the solution focussed on reducing this problem, rather than just "giving up" and eating animal-based foods which inevitably lead to other animals being killed? Saying that sometimes other animals are killed in the production of plant-based foods so therefore we should eat animal-based foods which inevitably leads to the killing of other animals seems to be similar to saying that lots of people are killed in car accidents anyway, therefore it is acceptable to deliberately run over people in our car because we enjoy it. Why not exclude the products that directly involve the killing (and domestication, exploitation, confinement etc) of other animals, and work to improve the production of plant-based foods that do not have to inherently lead to the killing of other animals?" "'I care about sentient beings so I'll kill cows rather than marsupials' - WTF? If it was sincere then you'd stop eating vegetables altogether. It sounds like an excuse to me. 'Eating bacon and eggs is doing my bit for the environment' - yeah right."
I'd like to go all of the way raw (I do it like... one week every month or something.) but I love my kale chips, waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too much! You are so cool! Happy birthday!
You only buy this... You'll not buy anything else (no rice, no pasta, no meat, no fish...etcetc watever). I'm not sure but maybe, per day, it's not too expensive, taking in account that she doesn't buy or eat ANYTHING else
Helennah Mrs. The cost per calorie for fresh fruits and vegetables is much, much higher than it is for pasta, rice, bread or beans, so your argument that she doesn't have to buy anything else is silly. There's no question that just eating a vegan diet with cooked food is a far less expensive lifestyle than going all raw and, in my opinion, a much healthier one. Kristina has wealthy parents, which makes her lifestyle possible.
It depends if you have to buy everything or have other sources do get your veggies and fruit (a fulfilled backyard, fruit trees)... That helps. And the people who have the chance to buy directly from the producer spend less money... I'm not one of those... But I wish I was.
Living this way I started buying my food from markets. It was way cheaper than my normal grocery shopping. Nb all because kristina buys blueberries doesnt mean you need to! Buy whats seasonal/local/ cheap etc, and design your meals around that.
i really admire the way you eat. i would love to try this. first i have to throw away everything in my fridge and cabinets. this is awesome. i feel healthy just watching the video! i want to do this!!!
+Frau S You just lost a bet. Eating Fully raw means literally no more farting. That's my own experience. If you eat fruits with other stuffs, than it bloats you. By itself it is the easiest to digest.
So, I just started watching these videos today, but have been a vegan for awhile and started trying to be raw in 2014. Thank you for your encouragement and allowing me to get a good idea of what you eat. I must say I am so sad for you because of all the negativity in the comments?? Why do folks even watch if they just want to criticize? Thanks again for helping us learn!
I'm really bad about watching your videos and feeling SO inspired, but never taking the second step and buying the produce. I think this summer is my time to test the waters in this life style. I just bought a bit of fruits and veggies, but I have a feeling it won't last long! Wish me luck! xo
@Jaymi Bosch LMAOOO just becuase others are hungry and starving she can't enjoy her lifestyle?😂🤷 I myself am not raw, but her diet and what she consumes has NOTHING to do with others who are less fortunate. Thats like me saying "be proud of your house while theres so many homeless, you should be ashamed" 🤣 it's so invalid.
Today i bought my stock pile for the week and omg I was not prepared for the amount of fruits and veggies I had to store. We bought $131.89 worth of fruits and veggies. But most of all my mom wasn't prepared for the amount of food we got. I had explained to her what I wanted to do this week regarding what I was going to eat but I don't think she comprehended how much food we were going to get. Thank you for this video it really helped along with the what u eat in a day video.
You are wonderful; thanks for sharing. I am trying to go fully raw. I will get there; I have been plant based whole foods vegan for over a year and veggie and predominately vegan for almost 20. I eat mostly raw now, but still have break-downs and do things like microwave a sweet potato. Your videos are very inspirational! Thanks again for posting your journey!
I tried this lifestyle and it was horrible for me. Spent soo much money in five months and felt deprived 24/7. Now I just eat clean...but I have to say, it is clearly for you because your skin, hair and EYES are radiant! So beautiful. :)
that is sooo much fruit and veges for one person! my goodness, i'd be throwing half of it out by the end of the week if I ever bought that much fruits and veges!
Kristina, what are your thoughts on nightshades? I notice that you eat a lot of tomatoes, and wanted to know did you always incorporate them into your diet when switching over to raw, or did you have to wait until your condition improved?
wait, this for one week? Do you have a deal with a company to afford this? Can you imagine a family of 4 shopping like this , damn haha.
This video is exactly why so many people either hesitate or refuse to join the Raw movement. It sets way too high of an expectation for the common folk who live on a limited budget. I went grain and sugar free and it cured me of autoimmune diseases.
Me too :( I have a lot of health problems and I definitely cannot afford to eat like that :(
It's not that expensive. I do it on about 30 dollars a week.
and me and my daughter live on it
Yea, I wonder if her mom and dad are footing the grocery bill mostly. Their house is really foo-foo inside.
I'd definitely become fully raw if I was rich!
Me too lol
+alvina betts Lol this would cost like 200$ xD
+Mindful Nebula 200$ per week is about 30$ per day which is only 10$ per meal...
+Abigail Partridge Dude thats a lot.... I can only make it 50$ per week
+Mindful Nebula same
Holy Crap! It looks like Whole Foods in your house. Love it!
too expensive for a low family income

Lol for just the berries she has where I live that would be almost $110 -_-
Cool, so it only about about 1000 dollars a week?
In Australia, that small blueberry box would cost me $10 ._.

Katie Harris Thank you kindly for the information! I shall check this out :)
I wondered about that myself....Texas is hot...how many refrigerators does she have?
That is more than what I eat in a year.
How much time do you spend eating? I don't think I have enough time allotted to eating in my current schedule to be able to eat that volume of food.

They don't have to know the fruit you cater is to yourself. ;)
TRUST ME, going fully raw is possible for everyone. You just need to know how!
Valerie Smith
If you have a roof over your head more than likely you have room to grow something. Even if it's just a few herbs or microgreens on your counter. People find room for useless things like TV's. The space taken up by a TV could be occupied by a planter. I plan to do some indoor gardening experiments in my bedroom. I think I can find a little room for a tomato or chili pepper plant.
Yayyyy!!!! Congratulations Kristina!! U r such a beautiful inspiration!! Happy Birthday!! HUGS!!!!
Courtney Stroud not to mention all that time food prepping!
this video was amazing. your glow transcends.
That is an impressive pile. But how do you store it for the week? I'm interested in a view of the inside of your fridge.
did anyone see the no of blueberry boxes? each of those would cost like 6-7 bucks, considering there are 15-20, woow 150 bucks just for blueberries a week? i wish i was this rich
where do you store all that stuff?
c'monnn, not everyone is as financially comfortable as that, all that food wouldn't even fit where i'm currently having to live, i love your message but this is just counter productive cos it just makes me feel bleurgh, maybe you should make a video on how you make a living to support this lifestyle
Do you have any tips on eating raw in a full house of Non-Raw people? I am vegetarian in a meat eating family and im wanting to go fully raw but i dont know how i would go about doing that!
My first thought to all of that food, "Holy hell, did you buy the entire store??"
Haha, I'm just picking fun. I really am considering on going vegan
I could never afford all that fruit and vegetables.
You could if your parents were wealthy like hers.
mobus1603 She went to college moron, she is self made.
Cory Phillips college doesnt make people rich moron
can't wait to have a house full of fruits and veggies like that! I also love that you have a He is We song playing in the background...
that is totally not affordable :D
The pop up title with picture of you, Kristina shows such a huge contrast. Tiny you sitting on top of an enormous array and supply of food. Very catching to the eye, and needless to say effective. It's hard to believe you eat allllllll that food. No wonder you look so amazing.
Does a truck come and deliver to your home every week? Seeing all of that, I now want to become a breatharian........i'll have no food expenses whatsoever. LOL
By the way, I don't see a need to eat all that stuff in a week. Whew! LOL :)
***** Well, I'm healthy, I eat healthy but i don't spend most of my time focusing on food alone. There is a difference.
the healthier you eat, the less waste you have. fruits and vegetables have a high water content too.
actually if you blend all that it turns into like 20 jars of juice so if you imagine her juicing her melons and those greens, and drinking blended juice twice a day it doesnt seem like that much to eat. you definitely spend a bit of time in the kitchen but not ALL your timing just cooking & eating.
WOW! The gorgeous colours! Amazing.
There is absolutely no way she can finish everything in this video in a week. No way. So unrealistic. Lol
honest question how do you stop ur fresh produce from going bad. every time i buy bulk i feel like i waist about 40% of it
What about protein? What about calcium? What about fibre, omega 3 fatty acids, iron etc. etc.? Fruits and vegetables can only provide SOME of these important nutrients! Being thin and being healthy are two different things. Though fully raw diets DO have many health benefits, it is IRRESPONSIBLE to ignore these essential minerals necessary for healthy body function!
*****
But does she have ANY of these foods in her diet?? Granted, we can see apples and she has one salad of leafy greens a day. This is not enough!
The salad she eats each night is 2lbs of greens! She get's enough nutrients...believe me.
The protein, calcium, fiber, phytonutrients and enzymes, etc are in the whole foods that she eats. She isn't being irresponsible...she has spent time educating herself on good nutrition and what works for her body. I suggest you do the same as this information is everywhere online for you to discover on your own.
Hugs from Argentina, Kristina!!! Happy 7 year aniversary! :)
Meanwhile in Africa there are starving children...
I would like to know about storage. Do you freeze any of this? How much stays in the fridge? Does it hold up well for a week?
Where's the mangoes
great videos Kristina and what a great inspiration.
I would love to be fully raw but I also like being able to pay rent haha
I think I tested up at the end!! You have such a beautiful soul!
Heh.
Did you not hear her say "in my next video I'll be talking about how to afford to eat full raw"?!
graceadeline1990 I posted my initial comment months ago.
You are such an Inspiration! I finally decided to go Raw and I hope I can go as far as you! (: Thanks so much !
This is seriously unrealistic! No average family could ever afford that! Just on the berries alone it would be about $200 of NON-ORGANIC stuff.
awesome ! you have another raw birthday coming up! happy raw bday everyday!
Damn I'm almost a raw vegan but I don't eat this much xD I do eat a lot but not as much as her
'
You're so cool and I really want all those fruits and veggies! I'm traveling and don't have easy access to f and v so I'm really grateful for fruits and veggies!
Eating meat is better, the production doesn't hurt animals as much. Meat also has more energy and vitamins.
theconversation.com/ordering-the-vegetarian-meal-theres-more-animal-blood-on-your-hands-4659
EDIT, my views have changed a bit since I posted this comment. I'm not so sure about this whole thing anymore.
What a terrible article to cite
I bet you didn't even read 10 % of it.
Some thoughts in the comments of that article:
"Raising the issue of other animals being killed in the production of plant-based foods is important.
Why not exclude the products that directly involve the killing (and domestication, exploitation, confinement etc) of other animals, and work to improve the production of plant-based foods that do not have to inherently lead to the killing of other animals?"
"'I care about sentient beings so I'll kill cows rather than marsupials' - WTF?
If it was sincere then you'd stop eating vegetables altogether. It sounds like an excuse to me. 'Eating bacon and eggs is doing my bit for the environment' - yeah right."
I'd like to go all of the way raw (I do it like... one week every month or something.) but I love my kale chips, waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too much! You are so cool! Happy birthday!
Not very affordable :/
You only buy this... You'll not buy anything else (no rice, no pasta, no meat, no fish...etcetc watever). I'm not sure but maybe, per day, it's not too expensive, taking in account that she doesn't buy or eat ANYTHING else
I think she has 2 videos talking about all the meals she eats in a day (winter and summer I guess). It's interesting to try to calculate the budget :P
But I wish I was.
mobus1603 I said also that I wasn't sure.
Wow, Kristina! Your eyes are a lot different now ,that's a huge change in less than 3 years!
she never explained how to be able to afford it.. in her next video.
Happy B-day Kristina. You are totally awesome!!!!
If you spent a lot of money on healthy raw food you won't have to spend thousands on hospital bills and health insurance.
Great point! We set all these limitations in our mind but if we really wanted to make this our reality, we will make it happen!
How dod you keep your fruits from going bad? Mine get mildew in a week, and I end up having to throw them away.
she looks skinnier here
Living this way I started buying my food from markets. It was way cheaper than my normal grocery shopping. Nb all because kristina buys blueberries doesnt mean you need to! Buy whats seasonal/local/ cheap etc, and design your meals around that.
I don't know if I like her.
She's nice
i really admire the way you eat. i would love to try this. first i have to throw away everything in my fridge and cabinets. this is awesome. i feel healthy just watching the video! i want to do this!!!
I bet you fart like crazy when eating all that mount pf friuts and veggies lolz
+Frau S You just lost a bet. Eating Fully raw means literally no more farting. That's my own experience. If you eat fruits with other stuffs, than it bloats you. By itself it is the easiest to digest.
So, I just started watching these videos today, but have been a vegan for awhile and started trying to be raw in 2014. Thank you for your encouragement and allowing me to get a good idea of what you eat. I must say I am so sad for you because of all the negativity in the comments?? Why do folks even watch if they just want to criticize? Thanks again for helping us learn!
Looks like a person needs to be rich to eat raw...
I'm really bad about watching your videos and feeling SO inspired, but never taking the second step and buying the produce. I think this summer is my time to test the waters in this life style. I just bought a bit of fruits and veggies, but I have a feeling it won't last long! Wish me luck! xo
I think someone has a tapeworm:-)
Loll I love that I'm watching this while eating a candy bar. One day I'll be like this..one day
Be proud on your enormous food stash while there is so much hunger in this world......It's an absolute disgrace, I should be ashamed if I were you.
Jaymi Bosch ....... go help them
@Jaymi Bosch LMAOOO just becuase others are hungry and starving she can't enjoy her lifestyle?😂🤷 I myself am not raw, but her diet and what she consumes has NOTHING to do with others who are less fortunate. Thats like me saying "be proud of your house while theres so many homeless, you should be ashamed" 🤣 it's so invalid.
Happy Birthday! XX Yay for clean raw foods!
Poop a lot too
hi kristina, where do you store all of these food? if they are all ripe dont they spoil by the end of the week?
Its a good idea to have a MAJORITY raw diet but fully raw is unnatural. Besides you don't even look healthy.
that is sooo much fruit and veges for one person! my goodness, i'd be throwing half of it out by the end of the week if I ever bought that much fruits and veges!
noodles and rice are a great alternative to fill yourself on carbs , i do 30-40% from noodles rice and beans and 60% from fruits and veggies
Geez, where I live, organic figs cost about nine dollars for FIVE of them, and she has a huuuge bin of them!
I'm inspired!!!! Gonna get a juicer and make it happen. Thanks
Kristina, what are your thoughts on nightshades? I notice that you eat a lot of tomatoes, and wanted to know did you always incorporate them into your diet when switching over to raw, or did you have to wait until your condition improved?
Wow, that's almost a whole produce section at my local market, lol. It looks delicious!
