    By the grace of God, I found your channel. Newly fully raw and I am getting tired of eating the same old salads. You're giving me so much life! Yes, Jesus! Thanks for what you do!

      Jesus had nothing to do with it. Try thanking the person who is actually helping you with ideas instead of the imaginary man in the sky.

      Gee, huriye kantar, I was not speaking to you. Try love. And reading. Because if you'll notice I not only showed gratitude to God for leading me to Kristina's channel, but I thanked Kristina for what she does. So, yes, Jesus! I'm thankful for Kristina!!! :):):):)

    Kristina I just wanted to say don't listen to any of these negative comments. You are glowing and vibrant and beautiful and braver than any person I've ever met. I know you're the kind of person who know's who you are and where you stand, but it is sometimes hard to hear people tearing you down. Don't listen girl! If everyone lived like you do our planet could completely heal itself and all her humans would be vibrant, passionate, glowing, and mostly disease free. Keep being who you truly are!

    I tried this recipe yesterday. My initial thought is that the cumin sauce needed a bit of sea salt (so I added it) and it also felt like something else was missing. I made a totally raw salsa and spread it on the cumin sauce. I also added mango ... YUM! Doing these few things is what took the burrito over the top for me. It was amazing! Thanks for the recipe!

    I tried this burrito yesterday for dinner and here is my experience: the stuff inside was really awesome and tasty but I couldn't eat the collard leaf, I hardly could finish one burrito and chewing the leaf and swallowing was really hard almost to the point of forcing myself to eat it. And don't get me wrong, I love vegetables! I ended up blending the second burrito with some water and eating the mix with a spoon, didn't taste that bad but it was not a pleasant experience:) What amazed me is the way I felt afterwards, I felt completely full and satisfied and even usually i need a snack before i go to bed i didn't want to eat anything else like my body got everything it desired nutritionally! I woke up still feeling full, amazing! Will definitely try other recipes of Kristina but raw collard leaf is not for me:)

      Maybe use lettuce leaves....smaller but softer...😊

    • @RelatedGiraffe

      Haha, lol :) Try making raw sushi instead if you like the fact that it's rolled. About the collard leaf, I think it's just something you get used to after a while.

    My family was bluffed! I added a few cashew nuts, one clove of garlic and some avocado to the sauce. Those who don't like lemon or onion springs ate some in the sauce. Capsicum, rocket, raw pink onion, coriander and parsley were hiding in the burrito... we all ate a bit of something we're not quite keen on and that was an absolute success.
    Only down side: I didn't make enough!!! Thank you Kristina for enhancing our quality of life. Hugs to you.

    I just tried this recipe for lunch not really knowing what to expect. I also am really bad rolling any type of sandwiches, so I didn't think it was going to work. WOW! What a great sandwich. SO flavorful. The sauce is so tasty and make the sandwich. Mine came out a bit runny (over blending?) and a reddish color compared to your thicker green sauce in the video. Not sure why?? Any ideas? I am definitely making this one again. thank you!

    • @mahmoudhaji
      @mahmoudhaji 7 лет назад +5

      Athena Morrow "When did what's healthy for you become so bad" what kind of logic is this? Anything good for you can be bad if you over-do it. Avocados are healthy but they're high in calories and fat, if you consume alot of it you'll end up consuming alot of calories, most of which are from fats. You will gain weight and you will be unhealthy.

The only thing I had an issue with was that my awesome sauce was a little watery. I followed the recipe in your book to a T. It did not have the cumin that you add on here. But that seemed to be the only difference. I don't know what I did wrong :(

I even gave one to my dad who is a full on meat eater, and he loved it as well. It is messy (wear a bib), but the juice that comes out of the burrito is yummy. You also don't have to have expensive kitchen appliances (my blender is 30 yrs old), and all the ingredients are available in any grocery store unlike some raw vegan recipe ingredients. 5 Stars!

    Needed to find out how to roll a collard green as a burrito wrap and knew I could count on +FullyRawKristina to show it clearly. Thanks so much for the great "how to" on thinning out the stem! Can't wait to try your Awesomesauce.

    No frijoles? Also, it looks pretty messy, why not just put it all in a bowl and eat it with a big spoon?

      I didn't say "frijoles refritos". What in the world could be wrong with some black beans... other than they don't fit into some oddball game that some people insist on playing?

      I thought about adding black beans to my recipe, too, but that wouldn't make it a fully raw recipe, as Evelyn mentioned...

      +209KittyCat I made it. I didn't use as much bell pepper in the sauce so I guess it wasn't as tasty. It was very um the whole thing was like full of water dense plants, I would like it to be more tasty. It looked really good but I wanted it to be more tasty. I'll be trying more things like the lasagna.

    Ya know I love the videos and recipes, but ya seem to be obsessed about with "low fat". Seriously, avocados are great for you! I'm not saying sit down and eat a bag, but I don't think eating a half or whole avocado is bad for you. I'd think of a fully vegan diet, you'd need to substitute some good fats in your diet.

      I personally think vinegar and black pepper are good for u but salt bloats and dehydrates you and oil is fattening and slows down ur blood flow and is bad for ur heart and some say it actually causes cancer when it's cooked at high temperatures!

    • @supercatforever
      @supercatforever 8 лет назад +8

      +vickie g without salt life is not possible. salt contains over 83 minerals. people with low sodium diet are prone to get sicker and heart attacks. salt regulates the blood just as it regulates the ocean. you must be talking about table salt.

      If you use olive oil uncooked, it is actually very good for you. It contains omega 3 & 6, vitamins, and antioxidants which fights free radicals (Free radical damage may cause cancer!). And Moises Perez is right about salt. It is absolutely necessary in a moderate amount. Also, our table salt is iodized. Iodine is necessary to the health of our thyroid and to prevent iodine deficiency and goiters. First world countries don't normally have this problem, but if you plan to restrict your salt intake dramatically, then you need to make sure you replace your source of iodine from other foods.

    It looks wonderful.......but I'm sorry, raw vegan doesn't work for me..... a nice salad on a regular basis is cool, but I'm not buying into or committed to a "raw diet" for life..... I will try all the filling, it all sounds great, but I will put that into a traditional, "real tortilla"......I remember reading about two of the oldest Mexicans who ever lived who were about 104 years old, and you can bet they ate "real tortillas" and not collard greens for a wrap..... And Okinawans and people in the Mediterranean live fairly long and healthy lives and they all eat "cooked' foods, so anyway......(I like collard greens, but prefer mine cooked, sorry). I was just curious so I thought I'd check this out, it gave me some good ideas, but sorry, I'm vegan but not into a committed "raw diet" for life. Enjoy your burrito though! (each to his own). Thanks....peace~

    So I tried this recipe out. It took as long to make as a 3 course meal (yeh in the real world our veggies aren't all sitting out on the counter ready washed). Was messier than eating a bowl of whipped cream with your hands tied behind your back and was as satisfying as a side salad from a cheap diner. It was also completely nutritionally unbalanced. No protein, barely any complex carbs, essential fatty acids, too much fiber in relation to the other nutrients. It was high in a few vitamins, but you could get all that in a pill....without the risk of food poisoning from eating raw alfalfa sprouts. What kind of a nut case tells people to eat raw sprouts on a health food channel???
    I'll give it a 2/10 just for the awesome sauce. Making a salad dressing in that way is a good idea, and a lot healthier that using the store bought junk.

    • @FilomenaKandolaRAW
      @FilomenaKandolaRAW 6 лет назад +1

      You just don't get raw food yet. It is perfectly balanced because it is our species specific diet. Fruits and vegetables have all the protein that we need in the right amounts. I birthed and breast fed 4 children on this diet and feel and look younger now more than before I went raw. You just gotta try it for more than 3 months. I made this and it took me less than 15 minutes to make with very little clean up. Great recipe!
