So, when I walked into the shop it actually was for the sole purpose of seeing Kee and giving her some love because it had been too long since the last time we saw each other. I wasn't thinking that I would be so blessed as to get my hair done by her. To my surprise, she asked if I would do her a favor and let her use her new product, for gray, on my hair. Needless to say, my answer was a solid: YESSS! I tell you, the care and professionalism she and her staff exudes when caring for and styling your hair is 2nd to none! YES, I enjoyed that shampoo and steam treatment. When in Philly, go to Deeper Than Hair and treat yourself. It's soooo worth it! As for my gray, I have been covering it for so many years that I lost count. I wasn't ready for it. I loved my dark hair! But the pandemic kind of sorta forced my hand. Plus, I just got tired of putting the chemicals from the rinse (Kee never allowed me to use permanent color on my hair) in my body. As the rinse grew out and got shampooed out of my hair, it was like 3 colors! It was so annoying! I almost went back to covering it with the dark brown rinse. But so many people complemented me on the gray, so that was super encouraging for me. If I'm being honest, I still struggle with it today, from time to time. But, for the most part, I'm embracing this phase and showing my gray love.❤ Thank you all for all the kind comments. I appreciate you. And I hope this helps somone who is still struggling with embracing her beautiful head of gray. 💋 Thanks Kee!! ❤
“Gray hair is a crown of beauty when it is found in the way of righteousness “-Proverbs 16:31 This video couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m in a new chapter in my life. I’ve been contemplating going completely gray. I have friends and family who have beautiful silver strands. Mines, on the other hand, are ornery and sparse 😅 they just do what they want to do. I’m 8 months post-color, and the roots are rooting. But I’m going to take the plunge and see what happens 😊
8 months! You are in the home stretch. I grew my colored hair out and went gray about 5 years ago and never looked back. You will be so happy once the color is gone. Hang in there. The grow out phase is like that awkward adolescent phase. You just have to wait it out.
Beautiful! In my 20s, I freaked out and colored my grays. Around 35, I decided to grow my gray out and stop coloring. At 40, my hair is beautiful! I receive many compliments on it. Now I'm ready for that beautiful shiny white that my Nana sported for so many years.
I am grey and I absolutely love it! I’ve earned every last strand and to me it’s the cap of wisdom. And the lady’s hair that you’re doing looks absolutely stunning! I’m actually grey and natural. I accepted my grey from the very beginning but, it took me more than a decade to go natural. Now that I am natural I absolutely love that too.
SHOUT-OUT TO MY GREY HAIRED QUEEN-SISTERS OUT HERE! I got tired of dying mine. No, not to hide the grey. I wear braids often and grey braiding hair that matched mine wasn't available that matched my grey. Now there are more options like silver and white. That Queen has beautiful healthy hair 🥰 I love how you styled it.
I struggled with going gray and still have my moments. As you, I grew up with women coloring their hair to hide the gray. I’m realizing that the style and care of the hair help me with acceptance and loving the next transition of my hair journey. Thanks for this video! This hair is gorgeous!
My gray hair has been coming in disobedient! It don’t like to lay down with the rest of my hair. It don’t like to stay inside the twists or braids with the rest of my hair. It just keeps standing up saying, “hello!”
First I love her name "Nine" different and very pretty. Nine hair came out lovely. My favorite part is when you take the plastic cap off and the hair just fall in place. Beautiful Kee Beautiful. That quote "Comparison is the thief of joy" now that was deep and facts. Quote them 💎 gems!!!
I needed that “comparison is the thief of joy!” From the first video I fell in love with you and how you care. The patience you have with your clients hair and the no nonsense or intolerance of any disrespect. You really care about people and I think that is beautiful. I pray God bless you so much more abundantly.
I’m transitioning to gray with my locs (two years in) and I can’t wait to be fully gray! I love it so much. I’ll be 40 this year and I am so Ready for this new chapter!! Embracing it ALL! 🎉❤
I colored my hair for years and then went through a rough financial time where I couldn't afford to color it. Ewww. Now it's mostly gray/white and I use a purple shampoo. I watched a RUclips video from a woman who put the shampoo on dry hair, and left it for way longer than the instructions said; her hair went from light brown to almost platinum! That convinced me to try the purple stuff. I'm glad you have your "own" purple shampoo now, I hope to try it some day soon!
It's like watching you do magic. I'm graying. I don't fret about it. Gray is about the only thing about growing old that isn't painful. I have enough other issues to worry about.
Both of my parents were full salt and pepper by 35. I started seeing my first greys at 15 😭. I’m 32 now and I have a skunk strip across the front of my hair and I had no desire to fight it. My parents now at 60 look like fresh snow on brown skin. I want to look like Storm from X-men when I’m 40 🥰🥰🥰 Her hair is beautiful. Dropping gems per usual Kee 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
New to your channel and I just want to say that your videos have an ASMR effect. Your good energy and care for your clients hair is FELT. My everyday hairstyle is a bun slicked and pulled at the nape. (easy and convenient) but now I am inspired by YOU to pay more attention to the health of my hair with a better routine. Thank You and KEEP being YOU! Sending love and good vibes from L.A. Cali❤
Stunning!! I am going grey and loving it!!! I am more pepper than salt (especially in the back of my head) but I embrace it!! Thanks soo much for putting a spot on the beauty of grey hair!
I love the pattern that her grays are growing in with 😍 *Sigh* waiting for glass brilliant shine to be back in stock like 🙇🏽♀️ 😩 I don’t even trust a silk press on my hair without it 😢
Thank you so much for the wonderful advice , encouragement , and top- notch products you provide to us subscribers and viewers . You shall surely reap abundant blessings for the goodness you have sown and given ❤ Y'all please please please listen when I tell you that EVERY product me and my family purchases in this Queen's links never fails and goes above and beyond . I lost my hair to chemo . Started watching this channel and using these products and tools . Now I have more hair than I know what to do with ! Thanking Jesus and blessings to you all !
Her hair looks beautiful. I was against going gray for years. Now I have not colored my hair in almost two years. My hair is 75 percent gray. I still don’t love it for certain hairstyles. But I’m loving the fact of not chasing new growth. And having tripled colored hair. My hair is salt and pepper in some spots. But certain large patches of gray. Great tips, loved the steaming for penetration of products. I’m a wash n go gal.
Thank you for showcasing the beauty of gray hair. Usually when stylist show clients with gray hair, they want it colored. It really is a thing of beauty. ❤
My great grandma and grandma both had/have silver grey. The couple strands I have have started to get silvery so I’m looking forward to continuing the silver grey tradition! Side note; I’m getting it braided in a few weeks and I’m thinking I want to do grey 🥰
I have been grey for 22 years and I absolutely love it. Thank you so much for your videos. You are awesome. Wish more beauticians gave special treatments like you. Shout out from Dallas Texas
I find it so satisfying watching you trim off damage and seeing it get fuller before my eyes. I know some people want to keep as much length as possible and that's great, but the hair just transforms when the damage is removed, it's as if it's suddenly twice as thick.
Beautifully done on a beautiful lady!🤗. We tend to gray late in my family. I'll be 60yrs young in a couple of weeks and my gray is sparsely around my hairline by 1/2 inch. 😊. I only color my hair twice a year and in between...I brush this Clairol - Root touch up on it and I love it!😊 If my whole head turned gray overnight...I would definitely...rock it! 🥰💃
Beautiful👌You always make it look so easy. I've been transitioning to grey at a very young age. Only now that I'm older I'm loving my grey. The book of Proverbs says it's a crown of splendor and it's attained by a righteous life🙌What a privilege and a huge compliment. I'm humbled and honored to have grey hair🎊🎊🎊
I've always used grapeseed oil on my hair and my hair has always been healthy from it. Thank you for confirming that grapeseed is a healthy treatment. I just always thought it was just me thinking this❤ Her hair is gorgeous and flawless!
Great info, I going to have to purchase that shampoo and conditioner, I have gray strands in the front of my head, which does have a yellow color to it. Most of my hair is black. That gray is definitely wiry and wants to be seen. I just embrace it though. Thank you for the information. I will have to get your magazine as well. Love the video great work.!!!!👍
Thank you for sharing this information with us! I finally embraced my platinum highlights in 2020 and I LOVE them! Once my current purple shampoo is gone, I will definitely purchase Stainless Steel Shampoo.
I’m new to your channel! I’m benign watching your videos for 2 hours now❤️I’ve been thinking about going gray totally! I’m in my 70’s I’m DONE coloring my gray. I have been coloring for over 25 years! It’s TIME! My hair is thin/fine and shoulder length you can see through my hair length 😫 You are very PROFESSIONAL teaching as you go! You have encouraged me to go for it! I will purchase the DEEPER THAN HAIR magazine. Thank you for sharing from Michigan!!🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️
Hey sis, It's been a minute. In another lifetime, I coloured my hair every colour of the rainbow but I lost most of my hair due to an autoimmune disease. When my hair grew back, it was mostly grey and I decided then that I would natural and just let my hair do it's thing. I now have sisterlocks which I installed two and a half years ago and I get so many compliments, especially as I have a completely white section at the from. Grey hair is not for the faint of heart but I love it. I can't wait to see your grey journey! Blessings and continued success as always xxx
My curls are lit, my straight hair is lit…it’s possible. Straight hair for a month or two (2 -4 washes) …protective style for 4-6 weeks (1 wash)…protein treatment every month…keratin products to style…my curls are good!
I love the color of her hair. The product did make an awesome difference though! Do you no longer use the Rev Air dryers? I haven’t seen it in the last few videos.
Thank you for this video. Her hair color is a little like mine, only mine is more white in the front. I've had greys since I was around 11 and a light streak in the front that turned white by the time I was 21. My mom said it was a birthmark. My mom, who was a hairdresser began dyeing my hair when I started junior high, because my brother told her the kids would be brutal when they saw I had grey strands. I dyed my hair for years until I just got sick of it. The transition was rough, but I'm so happy it's all grey, I love it. I'm going to try your purple shampoo and conditioner...💕
Happy New Year!!!!🎉 When is the next time are you going to be in Philly?? I'm shooting my shot!!!❤❤❤❤ Your hands are too blessed for me to miss out!!! Peace and Blessings to you and your family!!!
I love my grey hair! It is mostly white/silver with salt/pepper in the back. I did go through a few false starts when I was younger and finally embraced it years ago in my late 40s. 👩🦳
I just turned 40 & I’m a balded baddie. I have patches of grey and I’m looking how they are coming in. Thanks so much for the tips about shampoo to use to get the yellow out, what temperature to use when blow drying etc. I've always had a fascination with grey hair. And I am looking forward to caring for mine as it grows in! Thank you! 😊
Love it! I embraced my grey in 2020, and I love it! Yes, it is different at times from my dark hair and mostly does twistouts. I do try and keep up with the hair trims. Thanks for the information on how to keep hair healthy and the encouragement of how to embrace our blessed grey hair😂.
So beautiful Gray hair no matter what someone else think you do you ever one cannot afford to do color in their hair like this style for my self as always loved you
I learn so much from watching your videos! My problem with being gray or any type of lighter color in my hair, I'm just so fair complexion that I look washed out or sickly. I do limit the heat in my hair, but being blessed, as my mother tells me, with thick hair, I have to use either smaller sections or higher heat. Thank you though for teaching us, and just being great! 18:22
I'm embracing my gray and loving it Many years ago I saw a picture of a black woman in a magazine and she had a full head of gray hair, yet her face looked very young. i remembered thinking, "When I turn 50, I'm going to let my hair go gray." It wasn't scary to me at all. Well, 50 rolled around and I still wasn't ready to let go of the rinse that I was using. But Covid rolled in, and I couldn't go to my hair stylists for months and the gray rolled on in. But I realized, I didn't look bad with the gray hair. It was mostly in the front and framed my fave. Most of my friends said it looked almost like it was just highlights, so I rolled with it and have not looked back since. I only worry about it getting a yellowish tint which a few times it did but I was told because the heat of the iron was too high. I haven't had it happen in a long time. However, if it does I will look to the shampoo you suggested. Glad to know there are options and not just Shimmer Lights. i'm going for radio and music industry personality Dyana Williams' look Thanks for this video.
You taught me 2 beautiful things Kee!! That is to use low heat while I blow dry.. and only to press my hair every 2 months!!! Ps.. I am all grey and trying to be a straight natural.... PPS.. coming to your salon and getting a silk press with a cut into a BOB is my Wish
Great video as usual, I am graying it started in 2019. I have been embracing this process. I am wearing protective styles until the process is complete.
Ive been looking forward to graying after i saw my grand and great grandmother's hair. Their hair was absolutely gorgeous. My grandmother's was salt and pepper. My great grandmother's hair was silver and gray
Always a treat to have a professional give your hair a spa treatment. But...my hair started turning white in late 20s. After having it colored for about 15 years, my beautician convinced me that white hair can be beautiful on younger women. After some trial and effort I finally cut hair very short and allowed nature to take it's course. In mid 70s now with very white hair. When my husband still smoked, I had quite a bit of yellow discoloring my hair. Having horses, I began washing my hair with Mane N Tail shampoo used to clean urine tainted tails on horses. It worked like a champ. Stripped yellow out almost immediately and kept it out. My hair is fine and thin so I don't use the conditioner and wash my hair every 7 or 10 days. I've been using this shampoo for over 30 years and my hair is healthy and beautiful. Even if I do say so myself. Must be true as I receive compliments constantly.
“Comparison is the thief of Joy” Thanks Kee❤
Have a great week!

Do it! I always think grey is so beautiful. And aren't we lucky to get to live long enough to go grey? Not everyone has that privilege.

I love how you treat your clients. You're the Best!
I absolutely can’t wait to go fully grey. I’m natural so I can’t wait to see it in a long, wild, grown out twist or braid out or blown out.
I am grey and I absolutely love it! I’ve earned every last strand and to me it’s the cap of wisdom. And the lady’s hair that you’re doing looks absolutely stunning! I’m actually grey and natural. I love my grey hair! It is mostly white/silver with salt/pepper in the back. I did go through a few false starts when I was younger and finally embraced it years ago in my late 40s. 👩🦳
Her shade of silver is so beautiful, looks just like my stepmom's hair - fantastic job ❤

It's always good to see you again have a wonderful day today so happy for sharing your VIDEO about hair gray
So beautiful Gray hair no matter what someone else think you do you ever one cannot afford to do color in their hair like this style for my self as always loved you
Her gray hair is so beautiful
I just LOVE your talent , wisdom , humor , style -- YOU !!! ❤💙💚💛💜
The model has such beautiful skin! So smooth
I embrace the grays I have. Mines shimmer , so it's more on the silver side. ❤❤
I need to get this for my Mom. She has beautiful peppery white hair that tends to turn yellow in some spots.

Yes I saw the edition and truly enjoyed reading..
