I'm an older 50+ white male and watched one of your other videos where woman hadn't combed hair since summer of 2020 and was totally enthralled. The transformation made her look 20 years younger. Now I get more of your videos "recommended" to me, and they are absolutely astonishing! Great work and much respect for the work you do saving these women's locks.

I have only had my hair straightened once at a salon (well...without it being from a relaxer. I had gone natural though during this time). My hair is short and thin but I was so impressed that she managed to get my hair so much straighter than I have ever been able to (without using a relaxer) that I squealed like a kid, lol! I felt like an idiot and maybe it wasn't anything special in her eyes but it meant the world to me, so I know how you feel :)

There are many reasons! Personally, I like to see this kind of change/transformation videos (especially hair or make-up). I really like to see any type of hair and any style, no matter if it doesn't work for me. I even see male transformations and from different countries with different beauty standards. I love to see the change and people faces after :) At the same time, I learn a lot about hair and beauty! So there is a lot of reasons! ^^

“Broken crayons still colour”. Wow. I needed to hear this so much. I have several chronic illnesses from a genetic disorder I didn’t know I had until after I had my two children. It involves severe pain and fatigue. I always feel broken and useless, like I’m much less of a person, especially a mom. I need to realize that I can still “colour” even though my body is not what it was and not what I expected it to be at my age. Thank you for that :) ❤

Sounds like they had an Apostolic Pentecostal background. We follow the scripture about it being a sha my e for a woman to have short hair and men to have long hair. That's why I was so upset when mine was badly damaged and falling out several years ago due to double surgeries in a months time, pain meds, etc. Thankfully I am cancer free now and my hair is healthy and growing, back to my shoulder blades and still growing. Yes, I understand that black hair is different than my Caucasian hair and that not all Apostolic churches, especially the black ones are as strict about us women not cutting our hair. I do trim mine if the ends get too frizzy

Honey only a BM is saying that to a bw! It’s sad. They shld embrace our natural hair at any length and texture and stop putting Eurocentric standards on our hair. Modern life is the only reason we can even have long loose natural hair cause it’s not realistic to maintain. It’s very time intensive, expensive and tends to break with too much manipulation. If men had to deal w very long natural hair everyday they wldnt for very long. Our hair maintains better braided, loc Ed or twisted! (Coming from a woman w bra length, loose natural hair). Our hair naturally wants to loc! Finally the men never admit that their fixation on our hair is their sexual fantasy. They’d have you breaking your neck wearing ankle length hair if you let them. I think it’s
reasonable to consider a HUSBAND (not partner) feelings but also make yourself happy. Don’t torture yourself for the male gaze. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I had long hair my entire life until I felt I really wanted a change. And when I just got it short my family freaked out. Little did they know I was going to go much shorter as the less hair I had the more I liked it. I did a side shave eventually and then after that I went full on buzz cut and my goodness did my family have an interesting time especially since they were trying to prevent me from doing it at all, but I think it was the best hair decision I have ever made. I have kept to that style from that point on and sometimes a full shave. I have hid behind my long hair for years and me having my hair shorter was my way of coming out of my shell. That's why I love it when people can acknowledge that people cut their hair sometimes because they want to and not just because they have too.
