I dyed my hair for decades and wanted to let my gray grow out. But my ex husband hated the idea. After 35 years of marriage, I left and three years later, all the dye has been cut off and I get more compliments on my silver hair than I ever did with my expensive dyes.
👩🏾🦳👐🏽
@Sassysim Yeah, and it sounds like it was the smart choice. I'd do it too.
@Sassysim I left my husband because he was sleeping with everyone but me. I just began my silver haired journey after I left.

I'm from South Africa and we believe that grey hair signifies blessings.
Thank you so much for your great comment! Live long and prosper, y’all in South Africa!
Love it! We have a similar Proverb, “Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.”
Why doesn't everyone?
I am on my way, then SA!!!
She's lying. Nobody thinks that
Thank you for being so inclusive to all your audience. I can't possibly understand all the ins and outs of being a woman of colour, but I sure do recognise the love in your voice, the care you take, the competency at your art and your messages of compassion. You and your clients are simply beautiful.
Agree, love watching her and the happy looks on her clients faces. 😀
I saw my first grey's at 7yrs old. Ran to mommy and told her I was dying 🤣🤣🤣🤣....She laughed so hard she had tears in her eyes..She told me I was dying, but her mom told her grey hair meant wisdom. God, bless my mommy soul because I hear it alot now, that I'm 51 yrs old that I share alot of wisdom with people.
7??? Thought you were dying? 🤣🤣🤣 too funny! I thought I was bad...mine started at 16 and my mom said it was because I was burning my hair out with pressing comb and flat iron lol which I believed. When I got older I realized they were true greys.
Omg! Same! I was in 2nd grade when I got my first grey. I'm 18 and I like it!
Your hair in your picture looks great!
I was 6 as well but mine hasn't gotten too grey but I also have dyed it every color in the rainbow
😂
The most beautiful head of hair. That color hair color usually doesn't shine but she does literally have silver hair that sparkles.

@@DeeperThanHairTv I called your shop and was told you do not do hair anymore. Please advise.

I have never run across a hair stylist that showed as much interest in giving the client what THEY want as you. I go in & sometimes it’s a battle from start to finish. The younger the woman the worse that is. They think they know better. Ok, but I’ll never go back. You are the sweetest. 🙋♀️♥️🎯

Right. Love her!
This reminds me of an older woman I saw when I was travelling years ago. She had white curly hair but the way she kept herself she looked so young and when she entered a room you couldn’t help but look! I could tell she embraced her changing hair color and it embraced her right back!

I’m Caucasian and live in an area where there isn’t a large black presence - your videos are so wonderful to watch. Gorgeous gorgeous hair - and it’s soothing to watch. You’re amazing. I’ll keep watching.
Im glad your here and learning new things. Its great when we all learn about and respect eachothers cultures.
By Caucasian do you mean you're white or that you're from Caucasus
Me too i love these videos they are so relaxing
I like to watch black haircare videos too. It’s informative since my friends are black.
@@theowlhouseseason3213 Generally Caucasian just means white
My mother-in-law stopped dyeing her hair when my daughter, her only grandchild was born. I thought that was a beautiful gesture.
Your voice and manner are so calm and soothing and the music is so peaceful. Feels like a calming ASMR video. Watching you is really helps my anxiety and panic attacks.
It is therapeutic for me too. Calming with the music. I keep hearing all this bad news and it is the only thing that hasn't stressed me out.
I agree 1,000%!!!!!!

I was 13 when I saw my first grey hair.
Now at 39, I've completely ditched the chemicals. No dye, no relaxer.
The only thing I can't let go of yet, is my flat iron.

@Lauren M I'm considering rolling with my grays rather than fighting them. What are your biggest tips for care?
I'm 46 and always had natural, wavy, reddish brown hair. Now I have silver strands all through and it has more texture! It kind of twinkles when the sun catches it. I'm loving it! ✌️
Hey Ki! 26 yr old Indian here. I'm slightly grey already but I do my henna for the scalp and it's keeping me alright for now. Once I'm more salt, less pepper, I'm definitely going grey.
However, I'm a thin wavy haired girl. I watch your channel because my mum has bomb but damaged curls. She never has the time for herself. She's got a good bit of grey but she's also a Kindergarten teacher. I've urged her to go grey because she could totally rock it, but she says her dye job is for her workplace. She's decided to grow her greys once she's retired.
And, thank you so much, you do not know the lives you bless with your presence. My mum never had her hair taken care of as a child, and now when I do it for her, correctly, after having learnt all the detangling tips from you, she gets very emotional.
So, here's to you! ❤
Thank you for your great comment, young lady! Live long and prosper, you and your mom!
from what i've seen, us Indians don't really take care of our beautiful curls! my grandmother has such a lovely curl pattern, but she's been brushing her hair out everyday for most of her life. i'm so glad that i have resources now, and can embrace my curls!
this made me very happy to read
My mom when full white by 35. She fought it for years, but finally fully embraced it and received so many compliments. I wish I had her hair! Covid has made me stop coloring mine and at 48 it’s only about 25% gray. My sons call them my tinsel pieces, so I love them. ❤️
My mom went full white by around 30, but she dyed it probably until she was 60. Her white color was beautiful and even all over, wish mine would be like that, but I’m not that lucky...☺️
"Tinsel pieces" -- that's lovely :-) They sound like good kids. (Still your "kids" even after they get their own gray hair, right?)
@@michaelemaurer5383 You’re right! Only being boys they are going bald first! I’m glad that is seen as handsome these days, instead of emasculating like it was for my dad’s generation.
mine didn't start greying til my late 50's but it is also "tinsel hair" ....I love it because it sparkles in the sun.
I get way more compliments on my hair now that i let the gray do its thing.
This is my go to video when I can’t sleep or need background noise to fall asleep. The tone of her voice always does the trick 😴!

I bet it looks beautiful
Sounds like a natural balayage lol
She lucky those ombre color services are expensive !
Glad to hear she survived. 🖤
This woman is fantastic, I could listen to her all day long
My first gray hair was when I was 23. I was so excited about it when I saw it, and I showed my boyfriend at the time. He freaked out and plucked it right out of my head with his fingers! I was shocked and asked him why in the world he did that, and he was like, “Nobody wants that in their hair.” Needless to say, he didn’t stay my boyfriend for long. 😂 I’m 38 now, and I’d say somewhere between 30% and 40% gray, and I totally dig it.
That bf was evidently trifling.
Good riddance lol
@@TCt83067695 so you break up with someone over HAIR? it’s literally not that serious 🤣
I plucked mine out and tried dying the gray area, but nope that gray was not going anywhere🤣 I always had gray hair in the back since I was in middle school.
@@kimkimk3345 I'm pretty sure it was deeper than hair

her hair is sooo beautiful and encouraging. I started graying at 14 years now I'm fully gray. Hated it for years b/c it aged me but now I'm starting to embrace it and trying to go all gray now.
Damn my first gray hairs started showing at 18 and I thought that was early.
Her hair looks so soft and CUDDLY 😍 while you blow dry it
Right?! I couldn't think of the words!
I love her hair. Great job.
Nobody in my family doesn't start going gray until their 70s. If my hair looks like this lady, I'll gladly wear it!
@Kha Za if it looks pretty, rock it! My mother is 64 and doesn't have a gray in sight. My gram is 84 and is only at 25%
I just love how you are so gentle and nurturing with natural hair. I also love how you speak kind and highly of ALL hair types and textures and stages of hair 😍
I started getting grays at 18, but they are in one specific area as a cluster. I colored them for a few years but now at 26 I’ve decided to just accept it. I haven’t color treated my hair in probably 3 years now. Can’t help genetics, and I’m not ashamed of my gray streak.
lol,i started at 19.now im getting oldnow and i love my hair pattern...i look good LOOL
Like Anna?! From frozen hehe your a Disney princess girly!
Lol
Some people pay for a streak. Also I love the streak in Tulsi Gabbard’s hair.
I have a streak of gray in my hair as well. I haven’t let it completely grow out beyond a couple inches between dyes. I can’t say I’d “love” my gray patchy streak. Plus the texture is so different. My hair is naturally straight but the grays are squiggly
This genuienly seems like such a good experience. I’ve grown up in a 90% white town my whole life anytime I’ve ever got my hair done it’s been just damaged and damaged. I have a white mom so she doesn’t really know what she’s doing either the most I can do is watch RUclips videos yk. The only haircut I’ve ever had was from MYSELF in 5th grade about 5 years ago😬. I would love to go to someone who really knows what they’re doing and doesn’t treat my hair like it’s a problem. I’m hoping one day I’ll be in one of these videos I would LOVE IT. I love what you do and it’s super amazing to see
If you need any tips I'm happy to help
Your hair is NOT A PROBLEM and with youtube and the internet you have endless resources to suit your needs when others can't.
Find out the grade of your hair and share the city you are in. maybe someone can refer you to a stylist. My niece has been on her hair journey (white Irish mom and a black dad)She has been struggling for years and finally has build the courage to see a stylist. I think she was jus nervous☺️
Hey hun! Do some research in your surrounding areas and find a stylist that specializes in your hair, and see if you can get there for hair care. Never too late to start on a healthy hair journey. Best of luck!
A RUclipsr by the name of Christy Dior has a channel about her black children & how she cares for their hair, along with products she uses. Check her out until you can find a stylist. Best of luck!
I love the stylist’s very slow methodical movements. There such a gentle economy of motion that is so beautifully efficient-like watching performance art. I watch these videos all the time, and they calm my mind down.♥️♥️👏👍
If my hair gets this type of gray/silver. I would want to put a pastel super light tint over it. Like a pink or lavender so when the light catches it it will shine different colors. Maybe like a (Moroccan or Overtone) colored deep conditioner so it can be temporary and not damaged the hair.
I love how they say "Black don't crack," this lady is so beautiful. She looks too young to have silver hair, but MAN it still looks gorgeous!!

I saw my first silver strand when I was 8. When I was little my dad would tell me it’s wisdom, so I’ve always had a good association with it. And Storm from X-men was always my girl 😆 So I’m fine with my increase of silvers at 33. I love that my hair is Silver and not just grey. Grateful for that 😊

I'm almost 50 and my hair is all naturally dark. When I do get grays, it tends to come out after a few brushes. My aunt on my dad's side did not gray until her 70s.

I started going grey in Grade 8 and I have been dying my hair since. Now this last year I finally said I'm tired of dying it and have decided to let it be. I am now pretty much 70% grey at 32 and I'm trying to embrace it. The hardest part is waiting for the grow out process 😭 I hope I have just as nice hair as this lady's. Thanks for the video its keeping me motivated! ❤
When I had very few silver hairs when I was like 24 - 28, I didn't color them, I thought they looked interesting. Then the gray hairs were more but not enough for it to look pretty so I colored it from like 28 - 42. At 42, my head is like 60% gray hair so I decided to grow it like that. My thinking was many young girls color it gray, I have it pretty gray naturally, rock it! It's been a year and a half and the colored hair is almost gone and I couldn't be happier. Contrary to what is engrained in our brains, I don't look old, I look beautiful and I don't regret my decision. I'm really excited for my new look :)
Her hair looks so nice, clean, shiny, healthy and bouncy....beautiful job!
I'm watching this for no reason, what a blessing she's been given to do the beautiful job she's does to whomevers hair she touches. My hats off to you.
This hair thing to me is like the boywho was crying because he has no shoe then he met a boy who had no feet So we don't want to get gray hair so what is better gray hair or ball head So l am just saying embrace your hair whatever colour it is Because hair is better than bald because a lot of women is getting bald either by medication or chemical in the hair products So big up Ur hair whatever colour it is
I was coloring my hair from the time is was 32. I was probably completely gray by they time I was forty. I have a pixie cut and decided to just quit coloring when I was 59. OMG if my hair would turn this colour I'd absolutely rock it. Such a gorgeous colour!!
As a white woman with half black grandkids, I love watching your channel. You give a lot of great hints on how to handle black hair. A quick comment after watching this lady's beautiful silver hair -- I had been coloring my hair (originally almost black) for years before I had grands. When they came along, it was time to go natural in my mind. So I stopped coloring. It took a year to grow out a short bob, but I was super pleased when my hair ended up silver instead of grey. I love it. For an occasional change I use purple shampoo to give a bluish tint to my hair (little old blue haired lady). I enjoy the purple hair once in awhile. People definitely do a second take.
It’s something about mature black women with grey/white hair that just does it for me ❤️😫! Take the lovely Moneice for example, she looks amazing !
I just live the gentleness and love that I see working through your hands as your passion for happy hair and joyful clients radiates through! Blessings from Bermuda 🇧🇲 🙏

I love how her hair turned out and she's soo beautiful.
It looks fabulous! And she doesn't look close to an age where one would have gray hair. So shiny and beautiful!
She looks gorgeous! That is the most beautiful silver hair I've seen. I am a 38 yr old australian and I went grey at 23. I have been colouring (my "natural" colour) since I was 26. I love my colour so all I do is regrowth

I started going gray when I was 14. I colored my hair from then all the way up to March of 2020 when the pandemic hit. Since then I haven't touched a box of hair color at all. I showed my daughter the ombre going on in my hair...we shared a great laugh at how my hair looks LOL 😆

Very pretty outcome. You did a great job AND THE CUSTOMER, was PLEASED n that’s a WIN! WIN! Gif bless
This stylist looks and sounds like a trustable person. I have baby fine, board straight hair and seldom get a good cut, hairdressers have a hard time with my type of hair, anyway, she is someone I would feel safe with. Even though my hair probably isn't what she usually works with. Love the videos!
Silver is so beautiful and I'm so glad women are starting embrace it like a deserving crown💜👸🏼👸🏽👸🏾👸🏿👑💜
I’m salt and pepper, but I want it all gray. I love gray hair, her hair is beautiful.
Proverbs 16:31
Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.
Oh I could put this on loop and listen and watch all day!! Your client is beautiful and watching you is definitely watching a master at work! I think I'm going to try this technique on my hair! I don't have her volume but my curl pattern is like hers. Just gorgeous!!
I'll literally pay to get my head rubbed😂
I'm turning 60 in May and my greys really popped when I was stressed with a bout of breast cancer. I opted to use temporary colour. Henna and sometimes a rinse. I chose a colour that was lighter than my natural colour so that the greys that are being covered look more like highlights and it lighter colour prevents my natural hair from looking like a black helmet
