I dont think you mentioned it in the video, but what's the service interval for the transfer case??

The drain bolt lives in oil it's easy to over torque it. The fill doesn't, it also runs warmer, the fill is always harder to remove.

💯 the fill hole the 5at on the top comes to mind. Need a 24” 1/2 breaker bar to remove and the drain a 8-9” 3/8 drive ratchet suffices lol.

Trans fluid is for trans, transfer case takes the power from the trans and sends it to rear differential.

Hey man! Long time no talk!
Ive been hearing horror stories of MDX Type S and TLX type S(stock and especially tuned) having transfer case failures. I know your car is ktuned like mine. Are you aware of this issue? Im really concerned cuz i have both the mdx type s and tlx type S.
What should i do to not have a transfer case issue? I do regular scheduled dealer maintenance for both my type S's. I have 11k miles on the TLX and 15k miles on the MDX.
After parking post launching /hard acceleration in sport or sport plus i can smell an odor coming from the car. I know its not from the brakes cuz i am not braking hard at all.
Lmk when you have a chance. Have a great weekend.

Yes, transfer case spline stripping is a thing. Seems to happen on stock and modded cars. I have launched mine easily 100 times and so far so good so only time will tell honestly. Hopefully at some point, the aftermarket community comes out with a solution.
