I remember my parents watching Seinfeld when I was a kid and I thought it was stupid. I saw it on Netflix and started watching it. Probably the best sitcom in the world. Sitcoms from the 90’s are gold. Frasier is my second favorite.
@@TroyConvers5000 In the LATE 90s. I didn't get one until about 1998, my third year of college, and they weren't even that common. That's the year this show ended. Edit: LOL I just remembered my girlfriend had one in 1997, before me. But she didn't use it, it was in a drawer. It was too expensive to make calls and too expensive to cancel the plan.
That's true for so many things, but particularly with a lot of comedy (and romantic comedy) in the 80's and 90's, where the humor revolves around missed connections or an inability to communicate, or a message somehow getting lost along the way. On a different note, I've always kind of thought that Goldeneye should have been the final James Bond film. Aside from the fall of the Soviet Union, James Bond just doesn't really work in the age of smart phones and the internet, which is why they had to reimagine him in the Daniel Craig era as more of a Jason Bourne type action hero. Having to bring a bunch of cool spy gadgets to exotic locations to do spy stuff just doesn't make sense anymore when an iPhone can do half the stuff his gadgets can, and basically all information is online anyway and can be accessed from anywhere on the planet.
@@wanderingidle4848 I agree about Bond. The Craig series is the worst of them all. Funny thing with Seinfeld, the first time I thought of that was an episode where they spent the whole episode waiting for a call on a pay phone.

Yes, I agree with you, many TV shows evolve away from their original pilots. For example, Bewitched, Samantha and Darrin had a menorah at the beginning, and it disappeared later. With Seinfeld, what I noticed was Kramer became less odd, and more smooth and friendly. Plus he developed his unique way of entering Jerry's apartment. As for George, I think he seems to be channeling Woody Allen in the first few episodes, but later he looses Woody, and he channels Larry David, the producer/writer of many episodes.
“How much do you think a hit man would charge to rub out a cat?” Stephen King actually wrote a short story that follows that very premise once. It was adapted into a segment of “Tales From The Dark Side: The Movie.”
I am happy to see a new generation enjoying Seinfeld. It is my favorite show. Over the years, I have watched each episode many multiple times and can quote it by heart. Even now, issues or instances come up that a good old Seinfeld quote can sum up after all these years.
Hey, Jen! Important to note that _Seinfeld_ was created by Larry David and Jerry. But it was really Larry David who was the creative genius behind the show, not so much Jerry. Larry was the showrunner and head writer (basically the equivalent of a film director, but for a TV show). So, after _Seinfeld,_ you NEED to watch _Curb Your Enthusiasm_ next, which was also created by Larry David and it also stars Larry as himself. _Curb_ is basically just rated-R _Seinfeld._ And also since George from _Seinfeld_ is based on Larry David's personality, _Curb_ is pretty much George Costanza the TV show. Larry is a comedy legend (more so than Jerry). But also, it'd be great if you watched some clips of Larry David now (and get to know his iconic voice) because Larry makes many, many cameos on _Seinfeld_ (either on screen or just his voice) and it would be really fun for us _Seinfeld_ fans if you were able to recognize Larry's cameos as the show progresses. Just a suggestion.🙂
Yes, what you've written about Larry David, the Seinfeld show, and Curb is all true and I agree. But on Curb, Larry plays a heightened version of himself. The character is called Larry David, is played by Larry David, but it's not exactly Larry David. Can we agree on that?
@@kevinlewallen4778 Yea, I know. As he calls it a _"fictionalized version of himself"_ just like Jerry's character on _Seinfeld._ I just didn't feel like mentioning it since my comment was long enough as is.😄

How could someone break up with you over a pancake breakfast 😢 you’re too cute for that! 😂🙏🏽❤️
It really getsvin the groove after season 2. Fun fact it almost got canceled several times during the first 2 seasons.
"I love that this is a show" you're on to something :D
Yes, yes, yes. I am ready to watch the whole series with you. Bring it.
Hey Hey there Jen Murray. Love your reaction as always. ❤️ your sandwich idea sounds delicious. Awesome shirt. Have a good evening.
If you continue with this series, you will not regret it!
This is great! You do such a good job shooting and editing!
Finally someone!😎yes, more Seinfeld please 🙏🏾
“How much do you think a hit man would charge to rub out a cat?”
Stephen King actually wrote a short story that follows that very premise once.
A true Seinfeld fan here people. "Because the mail never stops".
As he calls it a _"fictionalized version of himself"_ just like Jerry's character on _Seinfeld._ I just didn't feel like mentioning it since my comment was long enough as is.😄
@@SamBorgman Thank you! You're literally only one of two people who actually understood the _Seinfeld_ reference in my username. And it's been years.😄
@@becausethemailneverstops9350 Haha nice, I've done a similar kind of experiment with my display icon right here. It's an 80s obscure pop artist named Melvin James. Cover image of his only/best album. In over 12 years only one person recognized it and it was just months ago! I even have 9k subscribers who are music lovers and are mostly older people.
Seinfeld is a "show about nothing!" Lol! There are so many great comedy moments on Seinfeld. You'll enjoy the show.
Season 1 is one of those one where it starts out slow where you start learning about everyone and then it gets better
No it doesn't, Snoozefeld doesn't get better. Waving your arms and saying random words in a high pitched voice isn't funny, no matter how many years you do the same bit.
@@js0988 It is widely regarded by critics and through public voting as the greatest sitcom of all time. So you're clearly missing something.
Clearly still being developed in the first series.
I cannot think of one Jerry Seinfeld joke that made me laugh. He is insipid as a stand up and just unfunny.
The Seinfeld series works because of the ensemble and writing. Jerry is basically the straight man.
@@Cheepchipsable yea i always said the OTHER 3, plus some recurring sides like Newman, Putty, Peterman, both sets of parents, etc are the off the wall characters, while Jerry was always the 'regular' one i guess. certainly the stiffest.
It’s the George as Woody Allen” season. The real George shows up in season 2.
Keep watching the show, it really starts to get its groove around season 3
Like this channel SEINFELD gets better and better.
I can't wait for more, I love Seinfeld!
Yes, please continue the Seinfeld reaction journey Jen! I will definitely watch it
