Very cool rainbow image. I just finished Adam Nicolson's book 'The seabird's cry'. It really is a brilliant book. As I live in Germany, I probably wouldn't have noticed this book without your recommendation.
Thank you for sharing your Scalpay visit with us Kim, it looked like a nice place. I love to experience the wind like that it makes me feel so alive . However it makes macro photography impossible and any other photography a major challenge though!! That rainbow looked amazing we saw some great rainbows while on hoiday on the west coast last week too :D Teddy
Thanks Kim... Beautiful views & it appears the colors are changing in Scotland too. Peak foliage here in n central Vermont. I have missed your 3 previous videos, been busy of late but managed to squeeze in a Adam Gibbs this morning, so you are in good company, lol! B. :-)
Wow!!!! You are so lucky. I am jealous of you.. I have not seen a rain bow in such a long time. Light houses yes. But rain bows ,I am driving and the isn't a place to pull over to shoot it. Or my camera is at home. Great Video.
Wow really enjoyed your video. I am obsessed with Scotland particularly the Hebrides and I had a regression and apparently in my last life I live on Hirta St Kilda. Weird or what?
Kim Grant well i guess it would have. I saw myself as a man climbing up steep rocks collecting eggs and at the end apparently I fell to my death and drowned. I to this feel such an affinity with the place. Bullshit? Dont think so but enough about me. Have a good day my friend. Xx
Nice rainbow shot! Was that a stitched panorama, or was that all one image? Also, what’s with all the painted sheep? I see them in lots of U.K. photography blogs. Does each farmer use a different color to signify ownership, sort of like a modern version of the old cattle brands used in the U.S. west, or is there some other reason?
It was one image and yes thats correct. Especially on the west coast of Scotland as sheep aren't confined to fields like most places. They roam around the roads and hillsides, so its a way of the farmers identifying which sheep belongs to them.
Raven Falls Photography yes it’s a way of the owners identifying their sheep 🐑. But when they are tapping it also gives an indication of when the lambs will be born via Colour .
